MOCHI DONUTS! Dare I say it... out of all the mochi donuts I've tried around here, Sierra Donuts has the best ones in the OC. I came in on a Saturday morning and ordered a half dozen mochi donuts ($15) or $2.65 each, a dozen donut holes ($2.50), and a ham and cheese croissant ($4). Their donut holes and ham and cheese croissant were good, but nothing mind blowing. The real star of the show however were the mochi donuts - so perfectly soft, chewy and sweet! They offer 10 different flavors, but only had 5 available when I went. Out of the 5 flavors I tried, the dark chocolate mochi donut was my favorite, but they were all honestly so good, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The little chewy fried balls of goodness are so addicting, don't be surprised if you find yourself eating a half dozen in one sitting! I also really appreciated their friendly customer service which definitely made for an even better experience at Sierra Donuts. I'll definitely be back in hopes of trying more mochi donut flavors like their taro and matcha next time!

Update to my review. Still my go to for mochi donuts cuz no place does a good chocolate mochi glaze and the dough here is supreme. As indicated in my past review, these outrank San Francisco's mochi donuts and everywhere else I've tried them up and down California. At the last minute, I decided I wanted a donut cake for my son's birthday but I was too late to customize and instead called at opening time, 4am and ordered a dozen mochi donuts to create one of those stacking cakes. As promised, the dozen mochi donuts were waiting for me when I arrived for pickup. I'd definitely recommend ordering anything you want ahead. The gentleman who picked up at opening time was very nice considering how early I called. I decorated it with a Happy Birthday sign from target and little decorations I had. My son loved it and everyone said the donuts were sooo good. The easiest cake I've ever "made"!

Love coming here for custom donuts! They always do an amazing job :) They take orders over the phone as well. Make sure to place your order for custom donuts at least one day before!

Stopped in on a Wednesday morning and was sad there weren't any filled croissants left. I picked out 7 donuts and paid $14. (Amazed that $2 a donut is the going rate.) Didn't grab anything too fancy (heard they have mochii donuts) Not sure I will come back anytime soon. By 830am the selection was very small and the prices are high.

Love this place! Every time either my wife or I come the staff is so friendly. It feels like they actually care about their customers which is a massive plus in my book. I came here as a doordasher, and one of the donuts the customer wanted was out, the staff were super friendly and offered to make some fresh ones right away, and then were sweet enough to give me a free donut for my wait! It all worked out great because this was one of the best mochi donuts I've ever had. read more

Been going here literally all my life and they NEVER disappoint. It's my favorite go to donut shop. Judy and Peter are the best! Very friendly and came through on our big catering order. Everything was perfect. The glazed donuts and chocolate glazed were the most tender we've ever had!! The cake donuts had a light crisp on the outside and so moist in the middle. I'm not even a cake donut eater and I would for sure order them here again. The mochi donuts were so soft and perfect. Yesterday, 3/1, I came into this shop and to purchase a cinnamon roll my mom was craving. Being it was almost 12:00 noon they were out of Cinnamon rolls. I went out to car to ask my mom if she'd like a bear claw instead. Upon returning, the Owner/Manager was counting money within view and after about a minute or so, I said, "Excuse me", to be acknowledged. She and another worker were in the process of cleaning and getting ready to close. She came to the front and took my order of a bear claw and glazed donut. She rang me up for $2.50 and I paid with a $20. She gave me back $17.00. She then turned around laughed and made a comment to the other worker. I walked out knowing full well I was shorted. I don't mind paying full price for end of day donuts, it's their product, so charge what you want. Also I wouldn't have minded if I was told she no longer had change in her till. What I do mind is being shorted .50 and being treated as if I'm an idiot instead of a customer who shops local as much as possible. Customer service counts especially when options and better products are abundant. read more

Have gone in twice because it's convenient when I'm in that shopping center. Both times the lady has been rude. It's almost like she's pissed off that I came in for a donut. The place is nothing special it's just an average donut. Even though it's convenient I'll probably skip it next time and go elsewhere. read more

We always have their donuts at our church on Sundays and they are pretty good. So our preschool decided to get a couple dozen assorted donuts for the staff on a Friday morning and they were out! No donuts!! Only a few mochi things for $3.25 each and some croissants! How can a donut place be out of donuts? Wasted trip (in the rain, btw) and I won't be back. read more

We have been going to Sierra Donuts (Doughnut Shop) for the last fifteen years. All the doughnuts here are delicious. Some of our favorites include the chocolate cake doughnut and glazed. We also know the owners who have been there for many years. This is the only doughnut place we will go to now, since it is better than any other. You know the cookie monster from Sesame Street, right? Well I'm like a donut monster, because I have a very difficult time passing up donuts. I pull in the parking lot of this little strip mall looking for a Thai restaurant and see this donut shop. The woman comes out from the back and I ask about the croissants. There were both plain and ham & cheese. She then offers me a discount, 2 ham & cheese croissants for $5, regularly $3 each. I really shouldn't have, but I bought 2, plus a maple bar. I also talked her into throwing in a blueberry flavored cake donut for free. The maple bar (one of my favorites) had a great maple flavor and was very good! After reading the other reviews on this place, I decided to take a little ride and try it out. First of all, I eat donuts all the time. I just do not post because the places I have tried recently are probably two star at best. So, I came here on a Saturday morning and was greeted by a very nice lady and girl. I asked her what her best donut was and she told me her maple bar was. I ordered two maple bars some golden donut holes and large coffee. Actually, two maple bars, two large coffees and a handful of the donut holes..5 bucks on the mark. Not too bad. The maple bars were indeed very good. In fact, they are the best I have had in a long time. The donut holes were also good. I have tried pretty much most of the donut places in the area. This is probably the best in this neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this place if you live close by. I would not drive any distance to come here. Regardless, my excursion left me with some pretty darn good donuts and a great cup of coffee. Lastly, the people here were super nice. I critique hard on my donuts. So, I at least posted on this one. They were not the best I have had, but some of the better ones I have had in a long time. Also, I only had the maple bar and donut holes. Great place and if I am near by I will definitely stop by again!!! read more

Too greasy, weird aftertastes, terrible terrible heartburn and upset stomach after... And with these, I didn't experience any of that(a little burpy after, but I mean, it's donuts... LOL) We only tried 3 different donuts, but they were all so bomb. The churro donut was my favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like a real churro, but didn't get soggy. The Nutella Malasada was full of Nutella and it was actually my first time trying a malasada... bomb! The cookies and creme mochi was a nice surprise too. The cream was actually very flavorful and not just like a plain creme with Oreos thrown in like I've often seen. I'm sure all of the donuts would be really good here. I will definitely make a trek here again one of these days.

They had hundreds of donuts sitting out, no labels, we had to ask what everything was. Ended up buying four for $13, not bad. Came home and took a bite of each one. None of the donuts tasted fresh, I am sure they were made hours before we bought them. Churro was super hard and stale, salted caramel literally tasted like nothing, blueberry tasted like sweet artificial fruit, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was the best one. If I lived nearby, I might get that one again, but this is not a place to go out of the way and try.

After getting heartbreakingly denied Senorita bread at our first bakery stop, we launched a…read morelast-minute pastry rescue mission and rolled into Starbread Bakery (Anaheim) 5 minutes before closing. Thankfully, they took pity on two desperate bread hunters. When they told me the only option was buying an entire tray of 60 Senorita breads, I acted shocked for about half a second before enthusiastically saying, "Deal!" 15 mins later, we were handed a box of pure happiness. Naturally, hubby and I had to perform a thorough quality-control inspection in the car. 6 pieces each later (strictly for research purposes, of course), we confirmed the verdict: fresh, hot, buttery, soft, chewy, perfectly sweet, and dangerously addictive!!! By the time we got home, the box was already looking a little less full. The drive home basically turned into a rolling bread feast!!

It came out warm, buttery, soft, and slightly sweet. Definitely one of those things that's impossible to eat just one of. They have a huge variety of baked goods too. I tried the pistachio and ube mochi donuts which were both delicious, and they also had malasadas filled with different creams, walnut brownies, classic donuts, and lots of fresh packaged bread to take home. The bakery smelled amazing, service was friendly, and everything felt fresh. This is definitely a spot I'd stop at again, especially before heading to Disneyland since it's such an easy and worthwhile stop nearby.

They also offer happy hour, aka Flocktail Hour, from 3 pm -5 pm and 9 pm-11 pm Mon-Thurs. The Parkside Market Coffee shop is a great spot to grab fresh breakfast items, lattes, coffees, and teas. It's one of my first stops on my way to the parks. The prices and variety are much better here than inside the park. They also offer seasonal and monthly items to keep you coming back for more. The two restaurants I have yet to try are Seoul Sister, which offers modern Korean cuisine and bowls, and GG Chicken Shop, made famous by award-winning chefs for chicken sandwiches, salads, and more. I've heard some good and bad things about the food here, as well as about the elevated prices, which have been a turnoff for me since they opened. I may try the food one day and share my thoughts. There's ample seating inside on the first and second floors, as well as nearby areas around DTD. The staff has been kind for the most part and has had no issues with the service or orders I've received. Magic Key holder discounts apply here, with the exception of alcoholic beverages. Overall, Parkside is a good food and drink option for locals and visitors alike looking to try something new.

That's how good it was…read more Found them on Instagram and added it to the list immediately -- had to try these churros while we were down in SoCal. Their truck spot in Anaheim is such a vibe, only 8 mins from our hotel near Disneyland so there was no excuse not to go. Jaime helped us figure out what to order our first time which was honestly so needed because the menu is a lot in the best way. We got there with just a couple people in line and by the time we were done ordering it was wrapped to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night. We tried: the Rosca Delgado (traditional thread churro), Churro Delgado with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream + Caramel Drizzle and Butter Pecan Ice Cream + Lechera Drizzle, and the Chocolate Mi Abuelita hot AND iced. If you must pick one - traditional churro + hot chocolate. No lies there. Already planning to pull up to their Santa Ana spot next time we're back in SoCal. Support this family business y'all, worth ittttt.

Nice little donut store located in a CVS plaza and next to some nail salon. They have a nice selection of drinks (monster energy drinks, gatorade, apple juice, soda, water, coffee, etc) and their bagels are suuper good!! I tried their sausage egg and cheese bagel and it was delicious!! It was about ~$3.50 which is not bad for what you get. Their breakfast sandwiches also come on croissants as well. 2 tables in side and 1 table outside. The people who own the store here are very friendly and sweet. read more

I bought 2 dozen donuts for the office and the nice lady was helping me then the rude lady came out took the box from her. She tried to push me to get donut that I don't want. What a bad customer service and attitude that she had. I was perfectly fine with the nice lady helping me. I was planning to come to this shop because it's convenient but since I saw what was going on I change my mind. I can't tolerate bad customer service from anyone. By the way the donuts taste average nothing special. read more

This donut shop is simply amazing. Judy and Peter are always very friendly. They both always greet people by their name. They even remember my order!!! Aside from the donuts being very tasty, their sandwiches are to die for. Coffee is always fresh and great tasting. To be honest, the donuts tasted great but the service needs to be improved. I witnessed a lady, who I believe is the owner, being rude and completely unprofessional by yelling at another lady in front of the customers. I don't know if the other lady was an employee or not, but she remained very calm and polite in the situation. read more
