I want to start off by saying that I looked this place up before going and gave this place the benefit of the doubt because USUALLY people will make it a point to only leave bad reviews. As an on again/ off again avid yelper, I hate giving bad reviews. But for $30, this car wash didn't even wash the simplest part of my car. I do not have a massive SUV or a large sized car to where the back of my car should have been missed?? I was looking for a car wash that looked promising and wouldn't jack up my car lol. This one didn't mess up my car (thankfully) but it didn't completely do all the bells and whistles it promised? Or maybe it did but BARELY. For example, the tire shine offered, yes. I got a tire shine... in one singular circle spot on my tire lolol. I will say, the attendant was nice and friendly. They do give you a dash cloth to wipe your dashboard with, a glass cleaning wipe, and an air freshener. From far away the vacuums looked nice. When you finish the car wash, most of them have cones in front of them and the ones that are open are against the wall of the car wash and are placed in a weird/awkward spot? Also there are spider webs on them and I get it, because they're outside but if I'm going to use a vacuum, I don't really want to brush away a spider web or park next to one if I don't have to. And it's not like a singular web, they're like all over- connecting from the car wash building to the vacuums. Imagine, I wouldn't be able to notice one tiny spider web LOL. $20 a month unlimited wash. Good at vey location in Reno and Sparks. We have a large truck. It fit fine in this location. They even checked the bed before we went through. A clean supply bag is given on request for you to finish inside cleaning. Vacuuming area is tight for our truck. The hose did stretch for us to do one side. Very busy location. The car wash on McCarran and 4th Street only has one lane so members are constantly stuck behind other people deciding what they want to pay. When I first signed up the membership included one interior wash per vehicle per month and now it is one interior cleaning per month between all five vehicles I have on my membership. They changed the terms after I signed up but the price didn't change. I went in several times where they said they were closing early so that they would not give me an interior cleaning as well. Came in this morning to get my car washed after the rain from a few days ago. As usual, I got the "Full Throttle wash" and the sales person offers their membership (had it before but won't do it again). They usually do a good job, not the best I guess for $15. I drive my car into the car wash, and instead of washing the front windshield and the back of my SUV with the soft brush like they always do, they just sprayed it with soap and water, which does nothing to remove the dirt. Somewhat disappointing. Then I go to vacuum the inside of my car, but the vacuum pressure is super weak. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the vacuum is free. I like the monthly service. And love they have free vacumns but not all locations do. Not all locations have free wipe down service. But the worst thing is they run cars to close together. My car requires me to step on the break to put it in gear which gives me anxiety when there is a car 2 feet behind me. read more

I've been enjoying my Sierra Car Wash membership and like that I'm able to use it at a few locations around town. This South Reno location comes in handy from time to time, and my kids love the cityscape theme here. We always guess who lives in each of the buildings and what they might be doing on the days we visit. The car wash itself is pretty efficient, and since this location doesn't offer the hand drying, it's nice to know that the system does a pretty good job all on its own. This location also has great high powered vacuums. The kids love to chase each other around in the beginning, but I eventually get them to help because these are so fun! This Sierra Express Car Wash is closest to my home, which is the only reason I'll stop here, so I've gotten several cars washed here. They have many vacuums which is a plus BUT without fail at least one vacuum on either side is ALWAYS clogged. 100% of the time I've washed/vacuumed my car here at least 1 vacuum is clogged. I don't understand why they don't have someone regularly checking the vacuums. Today, there were 4 employees in the booth and all but one was checking in customers. I've also noticed there appears to be no difference in the which level of service you purchase because I've paid for them all and there is always dirt residue left on the back of my vehicle and I see no difference in the quality of service or cleaning. read more

This is by far my favorite Sierra Car Wash location. It's the only one I've been to where driving through, none of the arms or brushes knock in my mirrors. Staff is always friendly and efficient with getting cars with memberships 'checked in', or taking payments for cars that aren't members. Other patrons are courteous and patient when both lanes are full and need to file into the wash. The workers working in the wash are also efficient at guiding the cars and hosing them off before entering the rest of the wash. There are plenty of spaces outside the wash to vacuum out your car and finish drying off any droplets the very powerful dryer doesn't blow off. Please avoid this car wash. We had a membership and came often. Last week, we heard a large "POP" about halfway through. This was followed by other concerning noises, and then our car coming off the track. The next thing we knew, the car behind us was smashing into our rear-end, and we could not move. It took the lady behind us honking repeatedly for anyone to even notice. They finally stopped the carwash and moved us outside to the booth. One of the staff workers told me the cameras were broken, so they didn't even have footage of the incident, and that this happens "all the time". The worker agreed the car wash had malfunctioned, took down our info, and assured us they had insurance and would take care of it. They didn't even stop the car wash, they just continued letting cars enter. They have NEVER reached out and have NEVER returned any of our calls. We have left 3 messages at this point. The woman behind us heard the same noises before it happened and has been wonderful. Both of our insurance companies have found the car wash at fault, yet they REFUSE to take accountability or even call us back. If you look through their reviews, MANY people have had the same experience. At this point, it is a scam when you continuously have your carwash malfunction but refuse to respond to people or put it through your insurance. Definitely one of the better car washes I've been to lately. First off the vacuum system is huge and free. There are so many stalls or cars to pull in and vacuum. Plus the vacuum has two sides so two people can vacuum inside Or one person does not have to stretch the hose all the way across. The vacuum hoses are quite long also. After vacuuming, we drove up the lane and there's a small kiosk with a kid and you get to choose one of many different options. We went with the $10 washing time. When you turn the corner and there's a guy that guide you through CCD/w4/\6 the automated call system. There's a couple guys there that pre-spray the vehicle. This is one of the main reasons for the four-star, the guy on the driver side was texting on his phone and barely even touched our car with water. It was with a small after spot that right when we were going inside he did one spray. Now, the other two guys were quite good at the priest pray, not sure why this guy thought that paying for a pre-spray meant he can play on his phone... But whatever. Card came out clean and shiny. I do recommend that you bring some window cleaners, a towel, and any kind of extra stuff like armor all so you can park afterwards and finish up. There's plenty a room in any one of the back stalls. And again there are like 50 of them. We will definitely come back to this one as it was fast efficient and I like the free vacuum and the large vacuum stalls. Note: they offer a $29.95 monthly special. Unlimited car washes as well as one interior cleaning per month. Also you can add a family member on for $10 a month. On multiple occasions I have tried to drive through on my way home from work and they will be closed early. Frustrating as I pay for an unlimited monthly plan that I use sparingly because I'm busy. Sierra Car Wash is convenient because I pass 2 on Peckham on my way home. The one at Neil was closed and so is this one. It was closed earlier in the week due to rain. At this point, probably going to cancel the membership and just pay to come through to save myself some money. Or maybe I'll go to Surf Thru. Easy in and out. Wash was quick but did a decent job. Vacuum area was a little tight. I was almost tripping over the hoses as they laid on the ground. However, the floor mat area was a nice touch and the hoses had good suction. Not covered either. It came off in pieces so totally unable to read. I told the guy I got a new car heres the old sticker I need a new one. Easy to get a car wash at this location. Staff very efficient with getting cars into the car wash. I was there one hour before closing on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. I was thinking that they didn't have to rush the few cars that were there. The attendant motioned with his hand to me abruptly to rush me through. There wasn't a car behind me so why the rush? (this prevented me from giving five stars) This location has several vacuums which is complimentary with a car wash purchase. Paid for the top tier wash and the end result wasn't great. The job they did drying was 80% at best. The bumpers weren't wiped, my tonneau cover was left wet and there were spots in the door panels that hadn't been touched. I won't be coming back here. read more

I just went to this car wash today and after going through and pulling in to vacuum my car I noticed I had all of this yellow stuff on my car and had to go around and pick it off my car. I don't think this car wash cleans their brushes. The rinse wasn't very good either I had a bunch of dried soap on the back of my car by the time I went around to dry off the extra water. Also, both vacuums didn't work on the spot I pulled into and had to use the other spot next to me on both sides. Which wasn't good either. I don't have a dirty car inside and I couldn't even get some of the dog hair up on my floor mat. It's too bad this used to be a really nice car wash and I definitely won't go back again. read more

I like this place! The wash cycle did a pretty good job, but the wind tunnel to dry the vehicle did a pretty bang up job of eliminating most of the water. I have been trying out different car wash places to figure which place I want to stick with, some have the undercarriage splashing, some offer towels to do windows, some have compressed air to get to all the nooks and crannies that the blowers can't get to, some are touchless, on and on different applications of products for finishes. So far thus car wash has most if what I prefer with some exceptions. I would have liked this place to offer towels to do windows and mirrors, but that can be remedied by bringing my own. This place offers the best undercarriage wash, in my opinion, due to the stuff the dot puts on the road to combat icing, which is damaging to vehicles. They also offer quite a few vacuum bays, they have a near clipboard type holder for your floor mats so you can not only vacuum the mats and not let them get dirty on the ground and also vacuum your floor boards. I will stick with these guys for awhile and see how I like them. read more

This is the second time this week I was hit In the car wash. The first time a lady hit the Car while going through and slammed into the back of me. The second time truck either hit brakes or fell off tracks not sure. But I hit the truck causing minor damage. The manager just shrugged his shoulder saying fill out an incident report and we will call you back and tell you we aren't responsible. 1. The cars are to close together. A little more space between them is needed. 2. After the first incident the Manger had myself and the car that hit me pull out together to inspect damage and exchange info if needed. I did the "free wash coupon". Wish I hadn't. First of all, it took two runs through the tunnel, and they still didn't get all the bugs off. They put a great big scratch in the front trim of my car. I got there when they open, because I know it's possible for the car before you to leave gravel, grit or boulders on the brushes and mops, and I wanted the best chance of getting away without scars. I responded to the "how did we do?" text. They promised to get back it me. It's been a couple of months. Nada. Now, I'm warning you, dear reader, away. Here's an example of "free" costing PLENTY. The guy was just fine about running my car through the tunnel a second time, but it didn't really get all the bugs off. LEFT LARGE SCRATCHES IN THE HOODS OF OUR CARS! We were customers for several years. Recently, their tunnel left large similar pattern wavy scratches in the hoods of our cars likely from the drape scrubber. Management responses to our claim that the damage was not consistent with typical car wash damage and dismissed the claim. read more

EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Purchased the $35. car wash. I thought it was comparatively a little higher than the other car washes I usually use on Kieztke Lane and South McCarran. The level of service I received explained why; THEY DID A MUCH BETTER JOB! We watched the drying portion, which at the other places was a half-hearted wipe and vacuum. OMG! They removed all the rugs, including the one in the back of my SUV, I didn't even know it came out. No car wash in Reno has done this; they processed to take high pressure air and remove dust...it wasn't even dirty. The front mats had straw and stickers, I pulled off the road that morning and walked in tons of dead grass/weeds/stickers. He used the high pressure air and and brush and removed every piece! Overall the car was wiped dry with gusto! All the inside surfaces were clean! SO IMPRESSED! I didn't get anyone's name, but it didn't matter, every employee I had contact with was smiling and helpful. Happy I found Sierra Car Wash, they now have all my business!! read more

Recommend Metro Carwash if you drive in bad weather for a living and the place is close by to work/home. All that salt and residue from the road is not good for your car. It's a decent car wash, however the wheel cleaner roller the left side one scratches the bottom of the cars and the rims. The right side wheel cleaner is fine. They really need to change the wheel cleaner on the left side. I have tested this with two different cars. I had some black rims out in and they got slightly scratched. Safe to say I won't go through this wash with my winter black wheels setup. During the summer the other wheels are fine since they are light colored. Hopefully the owner reads Yelp reviews and addresses the issue. They do invest a good amount on the car wash but they really need to consider doing better. Lastly why is there always a good amount of parking spots with cones? It seems like their vacuum system are probably not good enough to power all of the spots. If the owner wants to reach out to me I am more than happy to show him the damages the car wash tire/wheel cleaner has caused my car paint on the lower left side of the car. I am not asking them to pay for the damages caused because it's a mechanic car was and stuff is bound to happen, however I hope they consider fixing the tire cleaner that is causing abrasive scratches. read more

Despite of their reviews, I swear by this place and have been going here forever. (But I do rarely wash my car... but still!) I usually go on a week day to avoid the traffic, but my car was in deep need of a car wash, so I went on a Saturday and yes very busy and you did have to wait for a vacuum spot to open up. But if you go any other car wash place on a Saturday , just expect waiting forever no matter where you go. At this place, it did take a while but it moved fairly fast. I was able to get my car wash and even though all the vacuum spots were taken I parked for a few minutes to dry my car and as soon as a vacuum spot opened up by me, I grabbed the spot and was able to deep clean my car. To be honest, the only thing I dislike about the place is the structure, if you go left from the exit port and go past to the older vacuums the spots are totally not meant for bigger cars. If you are parked right next to one just keep in mind to be careful backing up as you may just be too close on hitting the car behind or even the car next to you (especially if its a big truck). Just a really tight space and makes it difficult to exit when you are all done. Other than that, $10 for the midtown wash or you can do $7 for a basic wash. But they do have memberships for decent price of I believe $14.99. (I could be wrong , I briefly just looked at the sign cause I'm mainly just looking at the midtown wash). read more

That was 15 minutes well spent! I arrived at 12:30 and didn't have to wait one moment to pay, wash or vacuum. The service attendant was very friendly and helped me decide on the buy-two-get-one-free package for $11.99. A few days ago someone emptied their soda cup in front of me while on the freeway and my car was covered in sticky syrup dots. Metro Carwash is good, but they keep increasing the prices. I dont go here often anymore because of the prices. There are other places close by that are cheaper. I hate to lower my rating for any place that I review but I'm going to have to. Unfortunately, they have raised the prices but the wash quality is the same for the basic car wash. I have done the downtown, midtown and uptown washes. They do okay in all washes for what the price. But I will probably take my business elsewhere because they also get pretty busy. I get that the location is convenient because it's right next to a gas station. That is a good thing about this place. I will also say their vacuums are pretty good. They did just upgrade them and put fancy lights on them. Probably to attract more business. I guess it's working. But all in all my experience here hasn't been to bad. I did get a random person trying to offer me a wax on my car and finish shine on my wheel for a fee and I polite declined. For the most part people here get their wash and go to the vacuums with no issues. So, far their is plenty of spots for the vacuum the last time I went. But usually only like 1 to 3 spots during the busy times. Which is understandable but I dont like it when you drive out of the wash and no spots. I am probably just going to have start washing my vehicles at home from now on. Most people I see when I drive by seem okay with it. I will also state that when people come out of the drive through car wash people seem to like to get in the way of the vehicle coming out of the drive through car wash. Why would you pull out the same time someone who is coming out of the cars wash? That's just going to cause and accident. Come on come sense. Everyone knows you cannot stop in front of that carwash.
