I'll never come here again. I came in today (06/30/26) and got the most expensive option (premium wash for $13). My windshield was still filthy after the wash, and there was still bird poop on my roof after the wash. I was able to clean my windshield with a paper towel and some windex, so there was absolutely no reason my windshield should have remained filthy. Wiping the remaining bird poop ​​off was easy as well. All in all, it was a waste of money and I'll never go back. read more

I use this car wash a lot a lot cause I'm always washing my work truck. Never really have any problems with the car wash. I like it's convenient close to home today. I go there and the person that works there. Watches me pull in then stands at the back side of the bay, sitting there staring and watching me And then as I'm finishing up washing my truck, he's walking across the front of the bay and then walks back across and when I pull out, he was hiding in the next bay over waiting for me to pull out and sat there and just stared at me. It's very uncomfortable, not cool because I'm a paying customer im very unsatisfied. read more

It's an average car wash at best, nothing special. After washing my car, I tried to use the vacuums. First one charges me a dollar and doesn't work. Second one charges me an additional dollar and also doesn't work. No one around and no response from "customer service" number. This review is solely regarding the DYI Dog Wash. My furry old lady was in a desperate need of a good wash and I wasn't looking forward to the usual circus of doing it in our bathtub that requires me to be a contortionist trying to keep a 75 pound squirming toddler in the tub. We are both getting too old for that dance. I checked out my options here on Yelp and chose this one. I wasted a few dollars at the beginning due to operator error aka not being smarter than the machine... I had to motion to the attendant for help, since my dog was already in the tub. Basically, just turn the knob on the blue rectangle next to the tub. I was pushing buttons (that weren't really buttons) and trying to enter numbers on the place where you pay. After I knew the procedure, it went really smoothly. Isabella was surprisingly ok with the whole process. Of course, there is a little chain to attach her collar (and her) to the wall and securely in the tub... so there was that... I spent most of my money on the drying portion. She is a mix of Black Lab and Belgian Shepherd and has a "double coat" and extra long hair. It wasn't the fault of the dryer; this was the most dry she has ever been after a wash. She was really clean and smelling good... and my back was feeling fine. They even include the shampoo, conditioner, etc. It is a good DYI service for a great price. By far the best do-it-yourself dog wash in town. Great water pressure, great air pressure on the dryer, and you can control the temp of the water. It's always clean and all the functions of the washer work. It's also the best price dog wash in town. $10 you can actually do a complete wash and dry. Most other spots in town are double that and not well kept. I've also had good luck with the actual car wash bays too. The only thing that would make it better is if it was closer to my house. Update: Not sure where the breakdown occurred last weekend, but it was not the experience I'm used to having at this place. One of the automated car washes was out of order. Not a big deal, I just waited for the other one. I should've taken it as a sign; unfortunately, I didn't. I used the dog wash. The tub was filthy. Covered in hair. I chalked it up to a discourteous prior customer. $10 in as normal. Cleaned the tub and then started on my dog. No soap, conditioner or oatmeal wash....so, my dog got a water bath for $10. I then had to dry my dog and go to Scraps to wash my dog. No fun! I'll give them another shot. Hopefully it was a one time thing and not the norm. Update: they've fixed the issues! 3 stars for the results. But I gave it an extra star for the options! And what girl doesn't like options?! They have the large self-service stations, large enough to wash your RV or boat. It's $2 for 4 minutes of water. There's a vacuum station and shampoo station around the side of the building, and even a smaller indoor wash station for your pet! Yes, your PET! In this case I just needed a car wash for my brother's Jeep. After driving through a swarm of locusts, there were green wings and things all over his grill. But the antenna doesn't come off on this car (or maybe I just don't know how to take it off,) and I wanted a drive-thru carwash. Low and behold, Tropical Car Wash! It got the job done and washed about 95% of the grime off. The other 5% requires a deeper cleaning. But considering it doesn't have those brushes that can sometimes scratch your paint job, I'm leaving a happy camper. The drive-thru was $9 for all the fixings, including a wax seal top coat. This place is a good quick fix, but after a day in the country or off-roading, you might need a deeper clean. read more

A review on a car wash? Why not, I did a review of a gas station. Now that my truck has over 232,000 miles, I don't wash it as much as I did when I first bought it. But, my wife and I were going to a UYE Beer event and I wanted to have the truck look nice and shiny. I could have stayed home and spent a few hours hand washing and waxing but I didn't want to spend the time for a 101 reasons. Instead, I decided to spend a few bucks at the local car wash. It's fairly close by off of Parr and they have two bays for their automatic car wash, a few bays for their self service car wash and they even have a pet wash area. I can't comment on their other services as I have only used their automatic car wash. If you haven't been to one of these washes, it's neat! An arch wash arm passes over you numerous times, spraying pre-soak, high pressure wash, soap, wax and spot free rinse. Finally blowers in the arm do a fair job of drying your car/truck. All this is done while you're in the car!!! Remember when you were a kid and you thought how much fun it would be to go through the car wash while inside? Now you can! For the price, it's not bad. It does a fair to good job of getting bugs and dirt off. It doesn't compare well with any hand washes. There are 4 washes from the basic at $6.00 to the Super Wash at $9.00 (as of June 2017). The $6.00 wash is good for between washes to get the top layer of dirt off and keep the car shiny. The $9.00 wash is good to get dirt off from the under carriage and put a layer of wax after the dirt is gone. This car wash accepts credit cards, cash bills and coin. They are open 24 hours per day 7 days a week 365 days per year. With some excepts in the dead of winter. Yes, it may get too cold even for a car wash. --------------- Bottom Line Yes, I enjoy the car wash. I like sitting in the car while water and soap suds are flying everywhere. Great carwash. They have a touch less drive thru car wash or a wash it yourself option. I did the touch less one. They also have self-serve vacuums & even carpet shampooing!!! All the machines take card or cash which is great. (So you don't have to worry about running out of coins) And the best part about everything is that this place is open 24/7!!!! They miss area s on the car wheels, bumpers hard to get areas. I know it looks impressive 3to 4 people working on your car. Vacuuming wiping it down . This car wash does an excellent job . My first time there I took a rag to wipe off any excess water . After wiping bumpers wheels etc. I looked at the rag Wet but NO dirt. I thought it was cool how there was a selector for different types of soap and rinse just like the car wash. Only challenges were that the machine wouldn't take several of my dollars and the meter started running while I was wasting time trying to put more money in. Someone referred me here to get my dog washed, so I brought my labrador retrievers here for a bath. I was pleasantly surprised about this do it yourself pet wash. It worked wonderful! I will definitely be bringing them here again for future pampering. It's so nice because I don't have to bend over to bath them. They even have a blow dryer. Horrible experience. I paid $8, pull in, and pull forward as instructed. Then it tells me to back up, I do... in small increments. It says stop, I stop. Then it says to pull forward again, I do...again in small increments. Then it tells me to exit slowly! I paid $8 to do a dancing shuffle with my car without getting a drop of water or soap on it. Tropical Car Was is a great choice if you are needing a quick rinse and wash for any type of vehicle or trailer. It is located off of Parr Blvd in Northern Reno. The price is very affordable ($9) for the drive through car wash. Typically car washes that offer similar car wash services are not kept up very well. That is not the case with Tropical Car Wash. This wash is very clean and I have never had any issues with the wash itself. While you get your car washed you can also get your pet washed. Tropical Car Wash also has a pet wash! Have not tried the pet wash so I am not at liberty to provide a review on it. However, it looks like it is pretty nice and will get any size pet clean by looking at the size of the wash tubs. I really love the fact that this is a touchless car wash and has really great water pressure. They have many options to choose from and the wash cycle is really thorough. The only thing that is stopping me from rating this place higher is the fact that the blowers are quick, don't really give you a good dry and the whole time it's drying it's leaking water all over your car gain. This used to be my favorite car wash but just recently I went down there to use their automatic drive through car washs they have there and midwash the machine machine stopped washing my car. It lefts all the soap on it but never rinsed it or dried my car. I was in a hurry that's the only reason I didn't hand wash my car their but then that was the only choice I had. I left a message to the customer service number instructed to contact and they haven't got back to me since. It's been a week. They took my money and won't refund it.
