Intake and Estimation. When you call one of the "big brand" plumbers, you speak to a dispatcher or a call center representative that refuses to give you details or an estimate. By contrast, Sarfraz was generous with his time on the phone, spending 30 minutes explaining the whole process clearly and offering a price quote. His pricing was very transparent and fair. Certain things would cost more if needed, but he was clear up-front about those potential add-ons, and they were reasonable. Work quality. Sarfraz was not in a rush - his priority was to do a good job. Our old water heater was jammed into a closet and twisted in order to reach the old gas valve, making the controls hard to reach. There was no bracing from the back. The water valves were old-fashioned and not easy to use or replace. Sarfraz brought everything up to "code" that I wished brought up to code. When he was done, he went the extra mile with cleanup, which some plumbers do very poorly. Price. All plumbers are somewhat expensive, but Sarfraz's pricing is much better and more transparent than the big brands. With him, there aren't twenty layers of managers and Google Ads to be paid for, and you know the quality of the person that will actually do the work. Customer Experience. Sarfraz is a genuinely friendly guy. He is personable and patient. He will teach you as many details about the job as you wish to hear. So I was quite surprised when Jae Pro messaged me with a quote based on my problem description. At first I thought it was a scam and I questioned how did he get my info as they were in Fremont and I'm all the way in the west side of the bay. Jae was very patient with me and explained how he found my business and provided his license info. They are new and he doesn't mind coming over free of charge on Saturday morning. I asked him to come over at 9am and he showed up 8:58am. It was a rare quality according to my husband because most contractors would just give you a 2-4 hours time slot and they show up late (as we experienced with another plumber for a second opinion.) Jae got to the problem quickly and came back with the quote that exactly matched what he provided over Yelp. Since he came all the way over, he was willing to wait for my second guy's opinion so I could have a balanced opinion. For over 2 weeks, I kept having clogs and leak from our toilet, I know, gross. I contacted Khan and he stopped by the next day to check out the issue and troubleshoot. Initially Khan diagnosed it was a misalignment from our main sewer pipe with City main pipe using his fancy technology. Khan actually showed me the issue as he was diagnosing for transparency. However, to be sure of the diagnosis and not to charge me for unnecessary service, Khan revisited with his colleague and they confirmed that it was the old sewer pipe rusting and retaining waste due to the rust, see attached photos of removed pipes.
