This unassuming Thai restaurant nestled into wicker park might be easy to pass by but I'd recommend giving it a try. Especially if you want a nice patio, fantastic service, and a meal that won't make you feel so bloated you can't enjoy the rest of your day/evening. The drinks are good. We ordered takeout. Service was on time and organized they spaced out each takeout order so it was ready for when you got there. We got the following Pepper Steak: this came with a side of white rice. The pepper cake with sautéed onions, pepper, corn, and carrots. I would have been better if it was a little more spicier. Glass noodles: these were thin noodles with carrots, onions and green beans. This was okay. I ordered this before and it was better I think this was just missing some spice. I've eaten at many different places throughout Chicago and Silli Kori has to be some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten before. I often find myself ordering Thai just because I love the cuisine and over the last 6 years I've tried many of the Thai restaurants in the city. Sure, there are Thai restaurants that are marginally better than Silli Kori, but none that beat it in terms of value. The prices are very fair and reasonable and the food is still amazing. The items I ordered were made to be spicy (and I can handle my spice) and they still were tasty. I highly recommend the pad see ew and the son in law eggs. I loved the ambiance as well, they offer indoor and outdoor seating and play some nice music. The service was also really good! The food came out quickly and the staff was nice. Wanted to give another Thai in the area a try (tried Thai Lagoon last time) and Silli Kori impressed me! The Panang Curry Entree Chicken & Brown Rice plus Cucumber Salad side was a perfect meal for two people. The brown rice is fantastic -- I used leftover for an egg & rice breakfast and it was delicious. The panang was the perfect medium spice level as I like HOT and my partner prefers mild. We really enjoyed our dinner here! The Crispy Curry Rice Salad can be done with chicken or tofu, and I got chicken. The flavor was delicious, and plentiful with cilantro, which I was happy about, and maybe too much red onion but that is easy to push aside per bite. And it is truly crispy, which pairs perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps. The Son in Law dish was something I haven't seen on a Thai menu before and was unique. The fried eggs were tasty, and the meat combination with the basil and sweet jasmine rice was perfect. Silli Korri was by far one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. We ordered the Thai tea, pad se eew, and green curry. It's nice how they can make vegetarian substitutions for many of the dishes there. We went there at night, and they served both their lunch and dinner menus to us. I loved how our food had good spice and flavor. Service took a bit longer than we expected, but it might have also been the case that the restaurant was short on staff that night. The tea was refreshing and sweet. The wall paintings and decorations gave the restaurant a very relaxing ambiance. I could definitely see myself coming back here. We just ordered delivery from Silli Kori, and it was SO GOOD. Delivery took 50 minutes, as quoted. The delivery service we used was Caviar. Silli Kori even called after the delivery was complete to make sure the transaction went well. Very considerate and helpful. Ordered from Silli Kori for delivery and had a good first experience. The lady taking my order otp was patient and cooperative. We ended up ordering a lot of food; many times end up doing that with new places so we can try the different items. All of the food was pretty good. I'd say, I think the spice level was low for me on all of the items. I think in talking to her we went with medium spice, which I found to be quite mild. I did want the eggplant spicy, but it didn't seem like they applied any heat. That is probably my biggest issue with the food. Tom Kha soup, pad kee mao, red curry, basil eggplant, and basil fried rice. I'd say all of them were pretty good. To me, this review is kind of on hold until I try their food properly spiced. On top of that, the service was incredible. We ordered vegetable gyoza and thought there was meat in it so we opened up a few of the gyoza. Our waiter politely explained to us that there was no meat and the texture that we felt was actually mushroom. She then had all of the gyoza remade for us after we ripped a few apart! Wow this is one of those spots that makes me so happy to live in Chicago and to live, in general. A few bites of the food and we had the biggest smile on our faces. The food here is a little bit fusion but still has very authentic Thai flavors. We gotten son's eggs and the curry one. Prices are reasonable considering how much food you get. We were looking for a late lunch place on a Friday afternoon for Thai food. We were in the neighborhood shopping and walked over to Silli Kori. Lunch is served until 3:30 and is very reasonable. It includes an appetizer and entree. The menu states one complimentary appetizer, so we ordered an additional appetizer, however with the lunch entree 3 potstickers were included. The potstickers were very good. We also ordered the corn fritters and they were the star of the meal. We never had corn fritters in a Thai restaurant and they were lightly fried, crispy and not not at all heavy. These were so unique and so good. The sauce was sweet and spicy ! I had the Chicken Broccoli and my daughter had Pad Thai. Both portions were generous for a lunch entree. The Chicken Broccoli came with a side of rice. The sauce was a sweet, soy base. The lunch specials were definitely a great deal. THeir lunch menu is very limited, so I would recommend lunch if you want more options. There were very few guests in the restaurant , so service was very good! THe ambiance is minimalistic with small tables with flowers and candles. Big fan of Silli Kori. T and I go there before we stop at Juko Nail salon and enjoy it every time. I can't comment on evening or night service, but at lunch, when it's slow, everybody is kind and attentive. We have both really enjoyed everything we have ordered. T loves and craves the crab Rangoon and spring rolls, and the Panang curry and son in-law egg ( rice bowl) were both excellent. Rice bowl I would order any time without question. This place was recommended by a friend and my first time here is really great! Everything was incredible, tasty, and extremely reasonably priced with great portion sizes. I got their Thai iced tea and the five spice pork shoulder. It was so incredibly flavorful, fair, and well-cooked. Everything about it was delicious! Can't complain. Came here for lunch and got the lunch special which is an appetizer with entree- always a sweet deal. Tried the garden salad and cucumber salad- the garden salad has more in it than you think (it's good) and the cucumber salad is basically a baby version of the garden salad (just get the garden salad if you're between the two because you'll get more out of the garden salad). The massaman curry was decent- I found the meat a little dry but the curry was okay for what it was. I enjoyed the son in law eggs- the sauce was flavorful and it was a good ratio of rice to meat. Could have used a little more vegetables though. I think for the lunch special the prices are good and would come back here again to try more. read more

This is our go-to restaurant at work. My son loved this place as well when I brought him over last week. Pad Se Ewe is my favorite. My son likes it too. I have tried their pad Thai and it's not bad. Since they have a lunch special, I always order the cucumber salad and eat it together with my pad Se ewe. Their crab Rangoon is good too. SPECIAL DELIVERY We never order delivery but with the Polar Vortex hitting Chicago we decided to have our food delivered. It was quite painful and funny to actually get our food. Our delivery guy couldn't figure out how to ring our bell or even open our door after we buzzed him in. He actually called us on the phone and it was a task considering the driver was speaking broken English. I thought we might not even get our food even though it was sitting right outside our front door. We finally got the delivery guy in the building and we received our food. We ordered the crispy rolls with ground chicken and vermicelli. The dish was beautifully presented. They actually sliced the rolls and then topped it with cilantro and carrots. They were really good but the rolls could have used a dipping sauce. I'm not sure if the rolls actually came with a sauce but we definitely didn't get a sauce on the side. We also ordered two orders of Kee Mow Noodles with chicken, wide noodle, tomatoes, vegetables, carrots, onions, basil, bean sprouts and a sweet soy sauce. One was mild and the other was very spicy. The dishes were good. I was a little unhappy that my noodles were stuck together. I'm not sure if this was a causality of delivery but I didn't like it. The dish was also a little too sweet. I would like to actually dine at this location and have the dishes fresh. I will say that the delivery was fast and actually arrived earlier then promised. We haven't ordered delivery in years and it was nice to not go out in the cold to get food. I was also let down they didn't send chop sticks.
