I visited Silo Falls with friends June 26, 2025. Our server was Erick. His service was excellent. He was personable, kind, professional, considerate and even took pictures of us for our scrapbooks. My friend's birthday was being celebrated. The food was tasty and the dining area was comfortable and relaxing. Had brunch here and really enjoyed the food. We had the phill wrapped sausage and the chicken and waffles. Both were very good. I personally loved the chicken and waffles. The waffle was solid and the chicken was boneless and really juicy, with a nice, tasty breading. It also came with an awesome spicy gravy that I used on both the chicken and waffle. Olney has some great special occasion restaurants and Silo Falls might be the best in regards to atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful as is the classic estate-home vibe on the inside. It's no wonder that every time I go, there is some formal event happening like weddings, receptions, or prom/homecoming pics. We were also there to celebrate (wedding anniversary). We ordered the filet and the crab stuffed chicken. I started my meal with the tomato soup, which was tasty, but admittedly not as good as the tomato soup from other restaurants in Olney. My wife ordered the filet and she said it was perfect. She loved everything she ordered. I ordered the crab stuffed chicken which was excellent. The crab was very fresh and was mixed with a creamy sauce that went well with the crab and chicken together. The dish came with pasta in a dry tomato sauce which I was not a fan of and wished I had substituted for a salad or another side. I don't feel it complimented the chicken well. The two cocktails I ordered however were delicious. Our server was AMAZING! She brought out wine samples for my wife to try just because she thought my wife may like something other than what she was recommending. The server's suggestion was spot on, and confirmed we lucked out with a talented server who we trusted with every recommendation from there forward. She was attentive and polite. We felt very well taken care of. We ended the meal with the seasonal dessert of toffee pumpkin cake and it was an excellent palette cleanser. We love this place. We visited for Mothers Day, and had an amazing experience!! The buffet was wonderful and so were all of the staff. The drinks were amazing also!! We were able to sit outside on the patio and wow the view was amazing! Definitely recommend dining here. We even stayed and got a drink from the bar after and we went and sat by the lake. Do not get the Mahi. It was the smallest piece of fish that I have ever been served at any restaurant. It may have been 2 ounces. (I regularly weigh food portions so I this is a rough estimate). The fish was over cooked. Luckily it had enough butter on it to give it some flavor. Our waitress was good and very nice. I mentioned the size of the fish and she did ask if I wanted anything else but I didn't want to pay for anything else. I told her I would go eat the rest of my meal somewhere else. She did give me $5 off the check. Luckily I also had my kids with me and I got 1 chicken tender from them. We come here very often. Usually the food is good and I don't have any complaints. My kids love the food and it is family friendly. Normally I get a filet with chimichuri and a vegetable and am very satisfied. The menu looked different today and I saw the Mahi so I took a chance. We like to wander sometimes for our date night meals. This one was a great choice (yes it was my wife's idea). The crab tower was perfect! The food is all sourced and prepared in house. The presentation of the food was amazing. My wife pronounced the Mahi perfect. my NY Strip was MR, really loved the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The desserts were beyond words. Covid-5 star!! This was the first outdoor eating I've ventured to and this place has Covid adjustments to the tee. The setting is beautiful and they had like 50+ tables to choose from. Some are intimate - e.g., one large table under a gazebo but all had ample space. We had a table 20' from any other. You place your order at an outdoor bar. Staff is masked and friendly. You pick up your order back at the bar. They take your phone number to text you when it's ready. We had a burger and fries and an omelette (ham, cheese, spinach, tomato). The real strength of Silo Falls is it atmosphere and overall vibe. It is a beautiful restaurant in a restored manor house. Lovely interior spaces and outdoor dining areas that are a perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful evening. The food we have tried over two visits has been generally pretty good with a couple dishes that need some more care. My friend said the lobster ravioli was excellent. My wife reports that her beet salad had the perfect ratio of chunky beets to leafy greens. On both visits, I had a caesar salad. The first time I ordered the full salad topped with salmon as my meal. Very good. Salmon was cooked just right. Salad was well dress and delicious. The second time I order the small caesar before my meal. Firstly, I was surprised that anchovies were a $1 add on. Aren't anchovies a fundamental part of a caesar salad? The romaine lettuce looked a bit old. It was getting brown around the edges as if it had been cut a couple days earlier or maybe came from a bag about to expire. Hmmm? I ordered mussels for my main. They were in a lemony and wine sauce with finely chopped onion, garlic, and basil. Excellent flavor and a generous portion that served well as a dinner entree. The mussels may have been a touch overcooked as some of them had more of a crumbly than a juicy texture. Service was good but a bit "wacky." Our waiter was very nice but he seemed like maybe he was new. He made a recommendation and when we asked for detail about the dishes flavor, he oddly acknowledged that he had not actually tasted it. Weird... We also had to remind him of a few things during service like we needed silverware and bread is supposed to come with the plate of mussels (soaking up the broth is the best part!). One of the hostesses went out of her way to make our evening perfect. When my wife made the reservation, she requested patio seating. At first, the hostess told us it does not show that on her end. My wife politely showed her the confirmation email that indicate the request. The hostess asked us to wait a moment while she goes out to double check. She came back and was able to seat us outside. Food is great but service at the bar is awful. I keep trying to give them business, but when you sit at the bar, you're ignored unless you're friends with the bar staff. Took me 10 minutes to order a glass of wine and then the woman never came back to check on me. Had to order food through two different bar tenders because neither really stopped to see if I wanted anything else. Guess I need to be with a group to get noticed. Not sure I'll be coming back. I'd love to rate my experience but after reserving a ticket for the Oktoberfest online, we were seated at a table and ignored for 25 minutes. No one came to take our orders. Decorations are nice, but the music selected is crap and too loud. Service is average for the region. Bartenders are not exactly mixologists. My club held a brunch at Silo Falls on 9/17/2024. We had close to eighty people in attendance. The service at Silo was exceptional, much kudos to the weight staff and the cooks. Food was supposed to be served at noon, and it was right on time. We had a social period 30 minutes before eating and the servers went around the room offering drinks. They continued to provide drinks throughout the function. The food was delicious and well received by the attendees. The ambiance was great. The restaurant was clean. Parking was not a problem, especially with the number of attendees. Our club has many activities, which include a meal. This is the first one where there were no complaints. The Manor at Silo Falls. The waitress was fantastic at serving my large crowd of seven adults and four young children. The restaurant was beautiful. The Manor at Silo Falls was virtually empty for a weekend lunch hour. The waitresses' efforts at professionally accommodating the obvious restaurant mismanagement was impressive. The Reuben was a delicious substitution for the Beef Bourgeon that was presented on the Special Menu; our waitress reported the kitchen didn't have it after all. The kitchen was also out of chocolate syrup for the chocolate milk we ordered for the kids, but the lemonade was delicious. The glass of water with a floating fruit fly was quickly and graciously replaced. The knife and fork utensils wrapped in clean cloth napkins for all eleven of us could have also included spoon as well. Our waitress quickly provided spoons each time she was asked for one. The food was expensive but tasty. This was my first visit and will definitely be my last visit to The Manor at Silo Falls. Live and learn. read more

I just want to say my wife and i stopped by the other night for a drink bartender was very pleasant but we had two years 2 drinks and the bill was 35 dollar co.e on we had expresso martinis which were made with Bailey's this is ridiculous we really like this place and live close but 2 drinks. Sorry but if you want more people to stop by for a drink and maybe some food you got to do something, the star is not for the service or the food we have had some really nice meals there but a mixed drink at almost 20 dollars a piece read more

The setting is really nice. This is a great place to come to drink and hang out outside especially during the summer. Its more on the fancy side, especially since it's often a wedding venue. I wish they had some mosquito candles around the dining areas, as I was eaten alive while having my dinner on the patio. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended if you want a chance of patio seating and definitely for live music nights. The balsamic dressing on the salad is really good, we loved the salads. The shrimp came with the shells On so you need to peel them before you eat them! The service was fast and our waitress was attentive. The drinks were are delicious. Of course with the higher end setting, the prices are a little more expensive. It's definitely a place I would come back to again. You can order for take out/ pick up. read more

Lovely location, nice server, menu not that great. $12 for a wilted, rusty cut-up romaine salad with store bought Parmesan and $13 more to add salmon. So for $25, I would have expected FRESH romaine, FRESH shaved Parmesan, Caesar dressing that hadn't been applied likely a day in advance. (The salmon was good and fresh, though.) The white tablecloths put that sad and overpriced salad to shame. Gotta give it to the waiter, though, for pointing out that the Chardonnay glass full of bubbly he brought me wasn't bubbly at all. He did replace it with a fresh glass but only after saying putting it in a proper bubbly flute would give me less wine (ignorant consumer that I am for pointing out the wrong glass.) All the prices were quite high--especially for a lunchtime. Would not go there again. read more

I love coming to this place. Especially on Thursdays - Happy Hour prices all night. My favorite drink is the Mango Sangria! I was in the mood for a burger and they didn't disappoint. It was juicy and flavorful and they cooked the fries just right. They have plenty of outdoor seating and live music (in front). I have been there twice with my husband. The first time was an unpleasant experience on Valentine's Day. Service was not attentive and we and another table complained: wait was exceedingly long to place our order, receive our drinks, appetizers and meal. The manager apologized, provided gift cards for us to have a meal there in the future. In contrast, our second experience was excellent. When we presented the gift cards, the waiter knew if was from Valentine's Day because they were short if staff and many patrons complained. The good thing is that the manager responded appropriately and tried to rectify the problem and not lose us as patrons. I recommend the Silo Falls and accept our first experience as an anomaly. We tried this place out last week. The place was practically empty. Service was terrible we waited for 10 minutes to be greeted. Our drinks took an additional 15 minutes and were delivered after our appetizers. Which were cold. Server told us they didn't actually have the daily special even though they posted it on their Instagram. Main courses were cold and more than likely microwaved. We skipped dessert because they didn't have any dessert menus and the server was unclear what they offered. Will never go back here. read more

The ambiance is beautiful but gets very loud in the room with the fireplace.i have come to this restaurant 3 times and the food has gotten progressively worse. We were a large (14) party lunch serving at 1:30 pm. The food was not hot, some ordered a Rueben sandwich that was served cold and not grilled. My fish and chips were overcooked, the vegetable side came out when I was almost finished eating. Our party was the last to leave. The server had too many people to wait on and couldn't keep up--so no refilling of beverages. This is my last visit here, prices too high for inconsistent quality and service. read more

Would give this a zero if it was allowable. Went for dinner at 5pm for our anniversary. Hostess had the personality of dead fish. She asked "how many" and we told her 2. Rolled her eyes and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. There were several tables available but she said they were "taken". We said okay and brushed it off. She then sat us at a a high top table against a random wall on the backside of the restaurant. There was so much foot traffic, due to a wedding at the venue, that we continually were brushed up against by people walking by. We asked to be moved and she said they don't have any other tables, again this is at 5pm on a Saturday with several open tables. Friends of mine walked in and were seated at the tables that were "taken." Asked my friends if they had a reservation and he said "no, we just came up for a quick bite." Grumpy hostess. Horrible pacing of courses. Soups arrive before wine. Entrees arrive about a minute and half after the appetizer. Server didn't come by until we were finished with entrees. Mahi was overcooked and dry. First bite of NY strip was full of gristle. Green beans very crunchy and undercooked. Had to ask to have dirty dishes removed from table when dessert arrived. Bill arrived with 15% tax which is not the proper amount in Maryland. We questioned it and manager adjusted. Scamming customers adds insult to injury. Avoid!! Full stop! read more

Beware of ticketed events. We purchased two tickets to the Billy Joel tribute band and were surprised by the venue layout which not only violated fire code but did not allow for all people to be in the room the band played in. Seated tables remained in the room while the band played and if you did not take it upon yourself to move chairs from upstairs down to fill the spaces in the room, you could not be in the room for the event, since every space was covered by tables or chairs with no standing room. We paid $50 to sit on a couch upstairs from the band with no view. This set up was not mentioned when we were seated upstairs for our 6 PM dinner reservation. Service was decent but the server often got drinks and entrees confused for our party of 8. I ordered the rare tuna sandwich which was overcooked with a soggy, disintegrated bun on the bottom. The grapefruit crush purchased at the downstairs bar had little more than a splash of vodka. I would consider this a one off if I hadn't had the same experience, along with other patrons, with that bar for an event back in June. I would not return here for a ticketed event and would caution others to confirm the venue arrangement before purchasing tickets. read more

We have gone to this resturant numerous times and have liked the food and service. The last 3 times we went the service was not only bad ( had to wait at the bar for over 15 minutes) to be noticed. In all 3 occasions there was only one bartender.. the others were talking to friends outside of bar . After ordering the food they FORGOT to call us ( we left our phone number) .. last night they not only forget to call us but thought it was funny that it took us 45 minutes to inquire.. when I told them I was waiting at the bar to inquire about the food as I could not get anyone's attention , they were annoyed !! I was excited to try a new place for Valentine's day dinner. The menu seemed interesting and the prices seemed reasonable. The service was okay... I want to give them some grace because it was valentine's day. We had two different servers come over to us who actually weren't assigned to our table, and the actual assigned waiter who finally came over never introduced himself or was personable, just asked "okay i'll take your entree order now" but we hadn't even ordered appetizers yet (he should have upsold that) (luckily one of the first incorrect servers had taken our drink order). But the real reason i wanted to leave a review was because I ordered the shrimp and bacon penne that was listed on the menu to include broccoli, brussels sprouts and parsnip cream. When my entree came, there were mushrooms all over the dish. Mushrooms are a pretty divisive ingredient--many people (myself included) do not like them. I was fine to pick them out, but had i known the dish had mushrooms, i would have asked for it without. Mushrooms should DEFINTELY be listed on a menu. Other than the mushrooms, the dish was pretty good. My partner's meal was well plated. read more

Beautiful grounds and the interior of the restaurant very upscale farm house. We came for Sunday brunch. 5 of us in our group. We sat in the room where the brunch is served - like a large banquet room. There are other seating too. Server was very friendly and mostly attentive. Buffet had several stations for Roast, Omelettes , Waffles , Eggs Benedict. All were very good. A side buffet with sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, shrimp & grits. Upper bar had salad, fruit, desert etc. Jazz players were playing and it was the perfect level so we could have a conversation and still hear the music. This place outside is really beautiful and great places to sit with a fire pit a distance away from building. Food was nothing over the top but good quality and restocked quickly. As we stayed through the early afternoon, they were quite busy, my recommendation is to get there before noon as the deserts were dwindling and not replaced with more. My Bloody Mary was good and we took the Unlimited option with Mimosas & Bloody Mary's I want to go back for Happy Hour and Dinner as I didn't taste entrees or other offerings. read more
