Ham & Egg sandwich on a croissant, mmmm
    Mary-Anne C.

Definite bang for your buck here! Although this place may appear to be just a "donut" shop...it's actually a bit more than that! First of all the donuts here are giiiiiiiinormous! (The next time I stop in I'm going to take a picture and post it). The woman behind the counter swears to me that they have their own baker and I told her he must be a pretty dam good baker because the french donuts are to die for!!!! So let me back up a decade ago-actually a decade and a half....the owners of this store used to own the coffee shop at Miramar and Ocean and as a young kid I used to go there after church and have my toasted bagel with cream cheese and a thai iced tea. A couple years after they sold the shop and I believe it is called Lucky something?? Well here I am many moons later and they now own Silver Cafe! Well back to the review.... 1. Ham and Egg sandwich on a croissant is sooooo good! There is a definite homemade touch to it which makes it a keeper! 2. Egg rolls are good too--ground chicken I believe! I would give this place 4 stars just for the food that I have tried but because this place also sells lotto, cigarettes, candy, ice cream, yogurt, cup-o-noodles, sodas, a variety of drinks and even pain medication for those afternoon headaches--its kinda like a one stop quik-e-mart without the liquor! There are definitely some regulars that come here and the owners are very nice. So nice that they keep this place open 7 days a week! Amazing!! Oh and they always have fresh coffee. Ah yes, always a plus!!

There was a dozen donuts before I got home . There are amazing !

Totally dissappointed in their breakfast, omelette was soggy. Toast not toasted and the hashbrowns were not good.

Mission street runs by the waterfront of the Embarcadero to the border to county line of San Mateo in Daly City. Every block on Mission street can change from global business giants to mom and pop stores. Mission street at night is different from Mission street in the day time. In the morning there is a hidden gem right off Mission street where the coffee is rich and it's on Richland street. On a Mission street stroll I needed something to perk me up. Making a turn on Richland street I ran into Cafeto Coffee shop. Inside you can get breakfast sandwiches like the chicken pesto panini and also the ham and cheese flakey croissants like some in SF. Don Juan de la matcha was going to get the matcha but wanted to try the ice white mocha instead. It was refreshing and tasty. This is a good hidden spot to grab some good expresso. Walk on Mission street and turn on Richland street and make a pit "stop"where you can get roasted coffee drip and get that caffeine "drop" with coffee art on "top" at the "Cafeto Coffee Shop" The coffee and expresso packs a punch like late boxing legend "Rocky Marciano"whether it's the "Mocha Mexicano", or the "Expresso Cubano" or the "Americano"

If you need a cake for a special occasion or coffee / pastries for a cozy morning you can't go wrong here. For Mother's Day I preordered their Celebration Vanilla Buttercream Cake with Black Lockett Floral. I've ordered bday and holiday cakes before so I had high expectations, but this cake was gorgeous! A show stopper fit for the amazing moms in our lives. The devils food base was moist and rich and paired perfectly with the salted vanilla buttercream. My family compared it to an upscale Oreo hehe... It also made my mom feel so special which is all you can ask for. 10/10! If you're preordering there is no special express line, and the shop can be busy, so keep that in mind if you're in a rush. I usually end up grabbing more pastries and a coffee while in line so it's win-win for me. The shop also has a small selection of cute merch, cards, sprinkles and other assorted gift items handy for picking up on your way to a party. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries, especially when I'm looking for a crowd pleasing cake. Highly recommend repeat visits as their menu is constantly rotating with the seasons. Can't wait for my next visit!

Both were good, the danish I believe is seasonal so they change out the fruit and I got plum which was pretty sour but the rest of the danish was good. Loved the mushroom focaccia Detroit style pizza slice - it is sourdough, which we didn't realize so would've preferred regular focaccia but was moist and I loved the crispy cheese and mushrooms! Curious to see what new items they add to the menu and how their pies are next time!
