Silver Diner of Ashburn has been good to me and my family. The food is consistent, yummy, and always fresh. We like coming here because they have a nice, roofed-in outdoor seating area. Lots of seats to accommodate large parties as well as small ones. The breakfast options are creative with interesting twists on classics like apple pie stuffed French toast and breakfast tacos. We often order the lumberjack because you get eggs, pancakes, potatoes and a breakfast meat; it's filling and tasty. This last outing, I tried the Philly cheesesteak, it has a good amount of meat, sautéed onions, and white melty cheese. It was surprisingly good, although I was skeptical about a chain restaurant executing a good cheesesteak sub. They have a full bar, pick your poison and enjoy a brunch cocktail. My wife likes the tequila sunrise and they don't skimp on the tequila. This location is kid-friendly and have a nice kids menu with lots of options. read more

Surprise, surprise. It's not your older silver diner. Menu is redone to a more modern type. Meatless and healthy options. Drinks available too. I had the plant based tacos and really loved them. I think the picture sold me. Did not miss the meat at all. Staff was excellent. Prices may be a touch expensive for a diner. Great selections. Note: Yelp map incorrect. read more

It's been quite some time since I've eaten at a Silver Diner. The menu has drastically changed and from what I could see, there are a lot of healthier options and locally sourced ingredients. Definitely a step up from what I remember about Silver Diner from before. I ordered an Acai Banana milkshake, corn and crab chowder, and a Philly steak omelette. All of the things I ordered were very tasty and fresh. Our server I believe named Ricardo was very attentive and friendly. Definitely a great hire for the store. The Silver Diner is finally open in Ashburn and we tried it out this past Sunday for dinner. Great location next to CVS and lots of parking. Not in One Loudoun but had more customers than most of those at One Loudoun. Both a large outdoor with shades (separate check-in) and inside. Most customers wearing masks. Quick check-in inside and Julia F was efficient and friendly helped by staff and managers. We had the lemony hummus (great) and summer cod which was good with nice sides. Definite return. read more

Finally gave it a try, it was good! Got a yogurt parfait and bagel, and husband got double chicken pickle sandwich. Food was great! Our server was wonderful, she was so sweet and caring. My kids love this place, and I can always find something I like on the large menu. Food is pretty good quality, and the service has always been top notch. The bar/bartender is great too for a drink later in the evenings with dinner after hitting the gym or whatever. My go-to is the bison huevos rancheros. read more

I've been to several different Silver Diner locations in the area. The food is what I would refer to as elevated diner food, and it's consistently good and fresh tasting. They have a pretty good kids menu, and my daughter loves their pancakes. I often go with the chicken and waffles- the pepper syrup and white gravy give it a southern flair. One exception thing about our most recent visit to the Ashburn location was the service. Our server was simply excellent- friendly, fast, attentive. I wish I had gotten her name to include on here, but it really makes a difference. read more

My fiancé and I took her mother and her father out for her birthday. It was a nice way to finish the morning after some activities around the area. There were a lot of people waiting in line before me but after I put my name down the wait ended up being only five minutes. One thing I love about silver diner is that they have so many different types of options. I decided to go with a breakfast option and have the Lumberjack breakfast with an English muffin. This meal was not only filling but also revitalizing. We all enjoyed our meal. One thing that was special is the entire staff from Silver diner sang happy birthday to my soon to be mother-in-law. I heard from neighbors that service was slow here. BUT the Yelp reviews were pretty good. We came for breakfast early Sat morning. We grabbed some counter seats(there's only about 6-7 seats). Service was quick. Menu was huge including an all day breakfast option. We both ordered omelets. They allowed substitutions on the side dishes. Food was quick to be delivered. I would have preferred my omelet to be much warmer but it was ok. The potatoes and toast that accompanied my meal were all tasty. The location has a very cute outdoor patio. Most people were outside. Like any Silver Diner the menu is way better than an ihop option. Parking is massive. They are right next door to the CVS across from One Loudoun. read more

I must say that of you've never been to a Silver Diner anywhere, you are missing out on an outstanding meal! It is definitely not your average diner though your first impression of the ambience is that it is. But the food is not diner food. Much of the menu uses organic ingredients. Their chicken is Bell and Evans, a true organic pasture raised variety that had the best flavor you've ever had! Now that being said, this review is about my most recent visit...breakfast. I ordered blueberry pancakes and sausage links. The pancakes were the best! Loads of blueberries! And the pancake batter had just a touch of sweetness and a hint of vanilla that really made them the best restaurant blueberry pancakes out there. My only complaint was that the sausages, while delicious, were a bit dry... like they had been reheated. I dont give out a lot of 5 star reviews but i do here and strongly recommend this restaurant. read more

My family and I are regular customers. We have been coming here since it opened. All of the servers there give exceptional service. John the general manager is a great manager. You will always see him walking around, making sure you have everything and nothing is missing. My family have had almost all the servers there but we enjoy getting service from Marco. He is always on top of his service and we never have to ask for things as he always brings it before we ask. Today was their grand opening and they were prepared. We were seated promptly. They had LOTS of servers and the service was excellent. My son had his usual, chicken tenders and chocolate chip pancakes. Yummy as at other locations. I had the pesto bison burger. Bison meat, pesto, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, greens, and tomatoes. (Hold the pickles.) I got edamame on the side instead of the fries. The burger was large (I could only eat half) and absolutely delicious. I have to admit that I was a bit taken aback when I got the check as I hadn't noticed the price of $17.99 on the menu! But I would order it again. Julia our server was pleasant and attentive and got everything exactly right - from no butter on my son's pancakes to an extra plate. She's a gem Two issues - one small and one large. We were a bit disappointed that there were no jukeboxes in the tables - we even brought quarters. :-) On a more serious note, there is an unmarked step right outside the door for apparently no reason. My son actually tripped on the way out - and I expect that it's just a matter of time before someone is seriously injured. I strongly recommend that they replace the step with a ramp or block it entirely with plants or a wall. read more

You cannot go wrong with this one! They've a vast menu and are open till 11:15 pm atleast so our go to for late night dinners. You'll never have a parking issue atleast in the McLean or Ashburn locations haven't been to other locations). Everyone will find something to order due to their endless list of dishes with dietary restrictions Gluten free Lower in cholesterol Vegan Vegetarian Just in case you don't find anything interesting on the menu, you can just go for a good ol' burger, fries and milkshake. read more

Adding another review because I had their fantastic chicken and waffles. Again. The waffles and chicken are perfectly cooked, but what really makes this the definitive chicken and waffles are the sauces. Obviously the syrup is there but they also provide gravy and a zesty zippy pepper relish. Initially I kept them apart, but at some point it's all just there and the result is a symphony of delicious flavor with the sweetness, creaminess and tang all dancing on your tongue. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

I recently visited Silver diner with my four daughters, and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We arrived and were excited to enjoy a nice meal together. Unfortunately, our anticipation quickly turned into frustration due to the abysmal lack of service we received. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated by the hostess, which initially gave us hope for a pleasant dining experience. However, that was the only prompt service we received. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we sat at our table for a staggering 30 minutes without any attention from the waitstaff. No one came to take our drink orders, no one acknowledged our presence, and we were left completely unattended. During this time, we noticed several servers walking past our table, seemingly oblivious to our existence. We tried to make eye contact and signal for assistance multiple times, but it was as if we were invisible. My daughters, who were looking forward to a nice meal out, grew increasingly restless and disappointed. Overall, the service we received at Silver Diner was unacceptable. It was clear that customer service is not a priority here. I understand that occasional mistakes happen, but the complete lack of attentiveness and professionalism was inexcusable. We left the restaurant and went to Ted's bulletin down the street. We were unacknowledged again, while leaving the restaurant disappointed. I hope the management at Silver diner takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure no other customers have to endure such a disappointing experience. As for us, we will certainly not be returning and will be advising our friends and family to avoid this place as well.
