As always the food was delicious and we ate everything in sight, not to mention we also got chicken fried rice...

My family and I come here pretty often for takeout. We live in the area and it's very convenient. We love their egg drop soup! Their wonton soup isn't my favorite but their prices are pretty fair. We finally decided to dine in for the first time for dinner on a Saturday. Our server was very nice! He was attentive and friendly. He also offered some suggestions since we didn't know what to order. We loved the honey walnut shrimp, the steam sole fish, the duck, and of course our egg drop soup. It was a very yummy dinner. The only thing I found odd was that the duck came with a side of "pancakes" to wrap it in but it literally was just a side of tortillas lol Ambiance was average, it was calm. Parking is no issue since it shares a lot with other shops.

My husband & I recently started to come here because of recommendations from The Next Door App. I'm so glad that we did! My husband always gets the vegetable Egg Foo Young & I've had the Imperial Shrimp dish and the Yang Chow fried rice. The BBQ pork is so flavorful it's addicting. The shrimp were large, fresh & plentiful. The vegetables were fresh & cooked to perfection. Their portions are quite large - enough for a second meal to take home (unless you're super hungry). The dishes are very flavorful and nicely presented. The service is excellent. Everyone is so nice and they make sure you are happy. Nice ambiance. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Lovely little sit down Chinese restaurant nestled in a shopping plaza at the corner of Devonshire / Mason, on the corner next to Rite Aid. Was there for a family event - about 25 of us - and we were seated in the back. We took two big tables and one small table. We ordered ample food - hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, fried rice, chop suey, shrimp etc - and it as delicious. The service was great and the employees super nice. Recommend for anyone looking for some food Chinese food in the area.

Really good food. The orange chicken is the best. I haven't had orange chicken like this before. You also get a huge serving.

Americanized Chinese food served in HUGE portions!…read more Szechuwan Garden is located in the same shopping plaza as Lowes, with plenty of parking available. I came for lunch with my family and it wasn't too crowded Sunday at 12:30 pm when we came, though slowly a couple more groups trickled in while we were there. They offer lunch/dinner specials that are great if you don't want to share. For $12-13 at lunch, you can get your choice of entree + rice + egg roll + soup/salad. Portions are very generous too! One person got the Szechuwan chicken lunch special for $12 and wasn't able to finish the chicken. The rest of us shared a couple dishes off the regular menu: #102 Combination seafood ($23) #620 Fish with black bean sauce ($18) #804 Szechuwan shredded pork ($15) 3 bowls of rice ($1.75 each) Of the three dishes, we liked the seafood and fish the best. They were more savory than sweet, though they were still quite sweet. I didn't like the shredded pork at all as it was much sweeter than the other two. Portions for everything were generous and we took the remaining 1/3 of the food home for lunch the next day.

Truly forgettable Americanized Chinese food in Canoga Park is the most succinct way to describe…read morethis place. Oh well, we had to kill an hour or so in the area, so we decided to try it. We had another Chinese food choice and afterwards, we wished we had chosen the other place. This restaurant is a dumpy little joint located in a truly gross strip mall. That being said, there were plenty of people eating there, and people getting take out. So, for the area, I guess this is considered one of the better places if you don't feel like driving far. They had a new item - NY style egg rolls. As a New Yorker ex-pat, I take these very seriously and look for them all the time. Unfortunately, these were chicken. You know things are going wrong at a Chinese restaurant when the egg rolls and pot stickers are chicken instead of pork. Clearly catering to people who are not Chinese food aficionados. The egg rolls were edible but in no way good. The pot stickers were meh and the size of gyoza rather than potstickers. We got the chicken with garlic sauce and the kung pao shrimp and begged them to make them extra, extra, extra spicy. As in all non-Asian areas of town, the waitresses' eyes went wide as if we didn't know what we were asking for, but she said okay. Sure enough, both dishes came and were not only not at all spicy but completely bland. I mean super, duper bland. It has nothing to do with my rating or my meal, but watching a family at the table next to us trying to eat mu shu pork and not knowing how to eat a simple age old dish like that was somewhat frightening or amusing or both. I don't know. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion and I was captivated. Anyway, bottom line is I actually like Americanized Chinese food and even crave it sometimes to mix it up from the standard SGV authentic stuff. This just is not a good place and reminded me of all the horrible Chinese restaurants I tried throughout LA when I first moved here from NYC back in 1994. Can't recommend. Don't go.

I ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup, and the portion was generous enough for two people to share comfortably. The hot pot itself reminded me of Taiwan, bringing back memories with its authentic flavors and comforting taste. While I wasn't a huge fan of the takoyaki, everything else more than made up for it. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal and unwind. A big bonus is the unlimited soup, which adds even more value to the dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

How can a business with great and unique food and good workers get 1 star and If I could give it 0…read morei would? Here is how: I have been coming to this place since it soft opened late 2023. Over the years, the place has a good customer base for good reason. The issue is that they are ALWAYS understaffed. Don't let the hiring sign on their door fool you. Owership intentionally understaffs even when they have people hired to cut cost. They are so understaffed that customers wait over an hour on average to be seated during typical dining hours on WEEKENDS with half the restaurant seating capacity available and unused. Then ordering, the staff is so busy that they do not take in restaurant orders and ask the people seated in the restaurant to place online orders for pickup which also forces you 5o pay gratuity upfront unless you carey cash which most people no logner do then take their receipt to the cashier. Then you have the issue of this rule being selectively enforced. The staff seems to pick and choose who is forced into placing an order online vs who is not. Today we arrived at the restaurant around 6:20pm. Despite half empty, we were seated around 7:45. 10 minutes later of not being aknowledged, i wave a familaor face and he tells me that it would likely be faster if we place the order online. The order was placed by 7:57. it should order compelte by 8:28 but by 8:38 our food had not arrived. i get frustrated and ask what seemed to be staff that was already frustrated where the food is and before i even get to the part that it shows online our food was already served, he tells me: Dude, we are really busy. it will come out when its ready. a few minutes later the food came out and i asked the person bringing the food who us the manager. he said he was and i told him the situation. he took full accountability and even offered a refund saying he recognized we were regulars. i said i recognized him too and said I will not accept a refund. It is not fair to make food for people and not get paid but I told him that that someone whether it was him, the manager before he took over the shift, or ownership is accountable. This type of experience and standard of service is horrible for a business. He kept apologizing snd isnisted on a refund to his credit. I refused but thanked him for the courtesy. I made sure that above all, respect for customers should be prioritized when other service variables fall short. its the one thing that can mitigate this type of feedback and the one person that tipped this in the wrong direction leading to this review was the last straw that broke the camels back. But to be clear this is not a one incident occurence. This is the third and likely final time I come to Tasty Pot.

Parking lot is small and spots are tight. They have a one way in and one way out but also more parking in the back. We managed to get parking up front and ordered immediately as soon as we walked in. The lady told us about 10 minutes but I swear it finished in 5! Really great customer service, the young lady was very sweet and it was a smooth process to order take out. The place was a little empty probably because we got there shortly after they had just opened. Maybe like one person dining in and 2 others ordering take out as well. The vibes in here take me back to my childhood with the carpet floor and booth seating. It was also very dark inside. My family and I would go to the A&W down the street for every Sunday dim sum and also for family parties and that's what it reminded me of. We took our food home to enjoy and loved everything! Great quality and my mom said they are also owned by A&W but not sure if that's true or not. It did have the same quality so maybe!
