I don't personally understand the hype about this shop. It seems to be a turn-and-burn vibe, not a lot of consultation, geared more toward heavy cannabis users who already know exactly what they want, and they want a whole ounce of it. I'm still in kind of an e xploratory phase, a gram each of a few different things, figuring out what works best. I asked for something sativa-hybrid in the 12-18% THC range, the budtender suggested BioJesus and 707 Headband, which I realized after I got home are both indica-hybrids with really high THC (over 26%) so I felt like I wasn't heard. Great layout. Great staff. Probably the most functional rec dispensary in town. Flower selection is nothing spectacular and the prices are the same. Only negative is be warned, you are on your own with edible purchases. They have been known to not keep the freshest stock on hand and if you get an old cookie that is actually petrified rock by the time you take a bite, you're out of luck and money. read more

All I can say is YAY for Silver State getting a winner on their management team. I have not been shopping at SS because I felt that there was absolutely no customer service. Well today that was changed by there Manager Meghan. I was sold a 75$ quarter of what could hardly be called micro buds. I brought the quarter back and she not only agreed with me but cut me a great deal for my trouble. So way to go SS, keep on promoting people like Meghan who know and remember customer service. Going to Silver State each week is something we look forward to doing. Great products and the nicest people, too. Until today. The girl working behind the glass on the medical side should be let go. She is rude, confrontational and just dying to argue with someone. If Silver State needs a guard then give this girl a uniform and badge. But only do so if you want your valuable customers treated like they are in prison. She has totally soured us on Silver State. And Ryan, the manager, really needs to be demoted to head millennial in charge, as he has no desire to do anything other than simply defend the bad behavior of HIS employee, in our opinion. He heard the entire beat-down and did nothing to stop the abusive behavior directed towards us. We were treated like old, pieces of garbage today by this woman. Oddly, most of the poor reviews here seem to be from older folks. Is their some sort of ageism going on here? Let's not hide our heads in the sand. Marijuana is newly legalized but let's not forget it is us babyboomers who have paved the way via civil disobedience to a bad law that has helped it get to where it is now. We realize these young people think they invented weed but trust me when I tell you that we were smoking even before you were born. If you will not treat us nicely for that reason, or just for the fact that we are paying customers, then at least show us respect for being twice your age. My wife and I are in our fifties. We are obviously not homeless or up to no good. We went into the bathroom together to pee as the other bathroom was locked. Within seconds, and in midstream, this nut starts pounding on the door and screaming that we must open the door immediately. My wife said, "Please let my husband finish urinating" but this person kept banging and yelling. I told my wife to open the door even though I was not done using the toilet. This maniac began to berate us and talk to us like we were prisoners. My wife apologized and said she did not know there was a rule. My wife apologized....immediately. We are sane and rational people. Yet this person was not going to be happy until she berated us more. It was humiliating and embarrassing. She started giving us a lesson in common sense. At that point, being twice her age, I made it clear I don't need her lesson in common sense. Most bathrooms in Reno don't limit the number of occupants. I asked here where the sign is. No answer. She told me a woman is not allowed in the "men's room." This millennial needs to learn the law before opening her big mouth. Silver State better be REAL careful before discriminating against my wife in that manner again. Silver State has no idea as to how my wife identifies. We will be back next week and my wife will use whatever bathroom she wants and we DARE this bully to embarrass us in front of others again. Another point about this genius' common sense comment. You can't limit the bathroom to one guest. What if one person needs assistance? What if one person is suffering from anxiety? It's none of your business. When we asked to speak to the manager the guy who stood there while this person berated us came over and he had no intention of doing anything else but defending this woman's behavior and giving us the most insincere apology imagined. Rude. His expression and demeanor said it all. His tone was sarcastic and he had no desire to improve the situation or to retain our business. We have been in customer service for decades and this manager, Ryan, has no diplomatic ability at all. We asked to speak to the real manager, Patrick, and he at least listened and gave us a sincere response. You are not the only weed store. If you keep treating people like this they will go elsewhere. You were hitting homeruns up until today. If Ryan is any kind of manager he would have come up directly and told the girl,"hey, these people apologized and said they didn't know about our unposted policy. There is no need to berate and argue with them." Instead, he managed nothing while this girl continued to pick a fight with us. We are still upset hours later. You don't pound on a door when two normal looking people are in there for no more than a minute. You wait outside and pull them aside afterwards. Instead, this girl yelled at us and we had to hear about all their problems with the bathroom. Like my wife said, "Well don't take it out on us." She still went on and on while the other customers were staring. I finally had to yell, "May I please finish peeing now?" The prison guard then gave me permission. You know what? Now that I write this I have decided that Silver State can suck it. We came to spend our money and were treated like trash. This woman is an animal and Ryan is ineffective. Sorry we don't fit the cool bill enough to be treated nice. Guess were too old for the hipsters. But know the law before you open your big mouth. Tell me how we identify regarding our orientation again and you will regret it, guaranteed. read more

Sometime the weed is great and sometimes it's super dry and old. We've had seeds in several orders. The customer service needs some serious improvements especially the info on the website. This place used to be great. Not sure what happened the last few years. The prices are much more expensive than other places. Tonight wasn't a great experience. My fiancé stopped to get a pick up for me. He called to see if it was ready and they said they would be right out with it. 20 minutes later he called to see what was going on. This person told him all orders made at 6 pm were cancelled due to not being able to fulfill them. (Thanksgiving is tomorrow) ok, understandable. But what's not understandable is why did he call and state that he was in the parking lot and get told "we will bring it right out" only to call 20 minutes later to ask where the order was and told it was cancelled and he would have to come inside and now wait again? This is why we started going to The Dispensary. Unfortunately they were out of the only gummies I can have (can't have gluten) so we decided to give Silver State another shot. I have been a long time consumer at silver state relief.I was their the first day it opened and the owner saw I was wearing a army vet hat and told me I would be getting a vet discount of 5% on every purchase from now on.sometime later I got a Medical marijuana card which gave me another discount of 10% total discount of 15% on every purchase.Last month I took a ccw class and found out if I had a MMC I couldn't get a ccw license so I let my MMC card expire on 08/10/21 after five years and I was told by a so called manager at silver state today 08/11/21 that my MMC was expired so I don't get any vet discount anymore.Anywhere a vet goes and gets a discount it shouldn't be taken away because you cancel your MMC.Silver state relief you should be ashamed of your self for doing this when on the first day the owner gave it to us vets.What say you silver state relief do us vets get the 5% discount that the owner gave us the first day you opened or are you just trying to force vets to get a MMC from the state to keep them in a job ? ghostrideronthestorm89512@yahoo.com read more

This place is classy and professional. It's like a pharmacy with herbalists or as the might like to be called "Bud Tenders". I went in "just to look". But after speaking to the bud tender I found out that as a new customer, offer 10% off. So I decided to try the marijuana concentrates and the "KYND"" vaping pen. I chose to follow my bud tender's advice for my leg spasms and sleep problems. I'm a light smoker compared to most. He chose 2 strains for me to try. FYI: THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS OF ANY TYPE HERE BUT HAVE AN ATM for a $3 fee. Everything is wrapped-up in a white paper bag and they ask you not to consume in their parking lot area. Keep it classy, guys! I was hoping to buy some seeds but was told that state law does not allow it. No biologics, I think he said. So, I guess "clones" are not for sale, either. I recceny went there and bought the stuff and as it was freezing outside so I decided to wait for my cab at the seating area they had. This lady employee comes out and without even asking any questiions, just told me you can't sit here and you ccan go to the cafe next door if you wanna wait. My first experience purchasing legal marijuana. The process was great the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about laws and the different medication. The strains weren't as potent as I was expecting for the price. But it's a business and they have over head. So I understand. As a person that has many people in her family that benefit from cannabis for medicinal & recreational purposes, Silver State is our "go-to". Besides having the best prices in Northern Nevada, they also have the best layout. Medical & recreational patients are completely separate. This is great to ensure the medical patients get the attention that they need. The rec side has lots of fun t-shirts and hats. The flower and other products are displayed with information about each strain. The staff is always knowledgable and very friendly. The only thing that really is a bummer is that they only carry their house flower. They do their own cultivation so this makes sense. They also have a GREAT selection of their own flower, so it's not really a big deal. If you want non-SSR flower, they do have pre-rolls from other cultivators. It is a pretty crazy time we get to experience with cannabis legalization. SSR is truly rocking Northern Nevada. read more

So I call them and they tried to say it was Blackbirds web page and they weren't responsible for their content. I placed an order on dutchie I was going to arrive to silver state around 830 so I double checked my text, email,and the website to ensure it didn't limit the time of pickups outside of normal hours. I arrive and it allows me to check in and says someone will be right out. After a while of noticing no employees coming out I call. I am told they send their "runner" home at 8pm and that it states that on dutchie. I check again on the site, it still said pickup was available at that location. I call back and ask for a supervisor and spoke with Melissa, who was absolutely useless. She literally did nothing to try to calm the situation or make me feel valued as a customer. I explained there is no info on the site, text, or email that states curbside stops at 8pm, she continued to insist it probably did and I told her to please check the site after our call and I read her the text from dutchie. She offered nothing to make up for the 20 miles one way I drove to get to silver state nor anything to compensate for the lost time. She did not offer a solution, a way to improve this, or anything. I have tried some other dispensaries but I rely on Silver State's amazing selection as well as the upscale feel of the facility. If I could give your nighttime "manager" zero stars I would. To begin with, the budtender messed up and gave me two of the same thing rather than what I ordered. I am understanding that mistakes happen particularly with new employees. However, your nighttime "manager" made me wait in a LONNGGGGGGGG line a second time when she could have very easily switched the cartridge for what I ordered. Instead she decided to serve other customers instead of simply taking care of my easy fix so I could be on my way. Combined time, I spent well over an hour in your store just waiting in line. Afterwards your nighttime "manager" threatened to 86 me because I was noticeably irritated for having to wait in line a second time. I told her not to worry because I wasn't coming back and I'm not. Would you have been irritated by that? I have worked customer service jobs almost my whole life, and I never would have inconvenienced a client that way. Silver State is the only place I buy my stuff, and I come in there A LOT. I also tell people where I buy my stuff when they ask. I will NEVER visit Silver State ever again, nor refer anyone. I feel like management clearly takes the time out to only hire nice people, seriously, everyone there so friendly. The buds are top notch. Not sure if Nevada requires all the testing and information, but there's a ton there if you need it. I live in the Bay Area and their flower rivals what I see here and is priced well. I did have a bad experience with a blackout oil lite pen I bought there, it didn't work. However they replaced it, the new one stopped working after a day, either that or I smoked it all in one night, which is plausible.... Either way that's not their fault, they fixed the situation and were very nice about it. I have no need to go check out any of the other clinics in Nevada, Silver State is my home away from home. read more
