So the manager at Silver State Relief has been rude and dismissive. This is 1 of 2 email streams. Also pics are messed up, they keep dis-/re-appearing. Now there are doubles? There was conflicting information about the discounts. Apparently these are only available to medical users. However the top answer to that question here on Yelp doesn't mention that. Another yelp reviewer noted that he was confused by this information and yet they DID NOT FIX this. So I asked them to fix it which they have. So that's good. Then I emailed them about a problem with the fakebook link as I was trying to get to that because at some point on their website they were directing people to look there for plague updates. Because the plague has made things difficult for EVERYONE and email is now the only way to get hold of them reliably and on their time schedule. Every interaction with this woman starts out with her being dismissive at best shading over into actual rudeness. So here we go. ME: Fakebook link is not usable as it takes me to a page demanding a login. I don't have a Fakebook account and am curious as to why it seems SSR has set their fakebook page up NOT to be public. MEGAN: Our Facebook is not private. If you don't have a login, Facebook won't let you view the page or some of its contents. (Note that this is true ONLY if the page owner has set it up that way, at least for the Welcome page - or if there is something wrong) ME: You fail to understand what I am saying. The link provided takes me to a login page. NO OTHER business that forces me to use a fakebook page instead of a REAL website does this. (Honestly I should have attached screenshots at this juncture, but apparently, as we shall see, that would have availed me naught because when I DID send them, she apparently didn't look at them because when she called me back - and it superduper freaks me out that they knew who I was because I don't use my real name ANYWHERE online but apparently she thought it appropriate to track me down by guess and by golly ANYWAY - she claimed not to have seen any pictures. Maybe she got it from blackbird, still bad.) MEGAN: We are not trying to force you to use anything. We have supplied a link provided by Facebook to use for our website. ONE EMAIL from her that said something like "We're not sure what's going wrong, can you send us some screen shots?" or just "we are looking in to this" and I'd have been satisfied. And given my dislike of fakebook, I would probably never have known whether they actually fixed it or not because I never go to a fakebook page if there is any other choice. So she calls me, tells me I was bombarding them with emails. Frankly I didn't expect this issue with fakebook to be solved soon, nor for the manager herself to be the one solving it, but apparently SSR doesn't HAVE a tech person, they just have Megan. And while I have some sympathy for a non-techy person who has to deal with a weird tech issue, I have NONE for a manager who can't be arsed to even ADMIT said weird tech glitch exists, let alone apologize for it, but rather keeps denying that there is anything wrong. I DIRECTLY asked for an apology, which she ignored, and only grudgingly admitted to looking in to this problem that doesn't exist. Or claimed so anyway. A simple response indicating action was being taken (or asking for more info) was all that was appropriate or necessary. read more

Look no further than SS Relief for awesome deals & awesome bud!! They almost always have pre rolls for less than 10$ each. The THC content is still there as well. For example, I recently purchased an 8$ sativa pre roll that contained 26% THC! This dispensary is my favorite. Service is always marvelous. The budtenders have extended knowledge on the different strains available & they are committed to helping you find the exact strain that you need. Most of the time, I already know what I'm looking for. It is nice though, to get recommendations on the bud tenders favorite strains & be informed on how they will make you feel. Or what they'll help you with. I suffer from anxiety & insomnia. So, I always make sure to get a strain that won't have adverse effects that make my anxiety worse. I really like the staff! They're gonna lose customers fast if they continue to allow outside customers to come in unprepared, need to stare and talk about the menu for a good 5-10 minutes, then oh wait, the customer needs to run over to the ATM in the back of the store to get cash. That is such an inconvenience to customers who have cash ready, have their order in mind and do not need to look at the menu. The menu should be encouraged last, if anything. The line should always be moving, and it is at a standstill often. read more

I use to love this dispo the most and get everyone to come here, I've spent nearly $30k here, it blows my mind the only thing I get the never have sales for. They use to have so many good concentrate sales. The best we get now is buy 2 get 1 on AMA and the 1 is either a cart or syringe. How are you going to have a sale and claim you're out of the promo but then people I know from the inside tell me how much you really have. It's starting to piss me off. read more

This is my favorite dispensary in town! I've been a patient here consistently since 2016, a medical patient through and through. (Also a past employee with nothing but positives to say.) This review is only regarding a medical patient's experience and what it is that earns its place as a top notch place for getting your medicine. I have been a medical patient in three states over the course of seven years. I firmly believe in our rights as medical patients, and that is exactly what drove me to write the following: I am writing this review now because there is a possibility of the medical side completely disappearing, which is shocking and disheartening to me. After all, only 2 years ago they built the huge, separate addition for recreational customers. Why consider this horrible idea? I am against it completely. Please hear me, SSR mgmt, as I am sure I am not alone in this feeling. Many employees I have spoken with there also feel the same. The first thing that drew me to it was the layout and general flow. There is an ease and comfort being greeted by the familiar entryway, the waiting area, and the medical check-in area. This is where recreational customers can pass through to use the restroom or the handy coin machine on the way to their own recreational check-in and waiting room. Over there, it's more spacious, and can get quite busy, but the staff does a badass job of keeping things flowing efficiently. Due to the distinctly unique addition built specifically for privacy and separateness, this means SSR is one of a kind, giving the medical patients their own space to consider their medical choices in a quiet, calm atmosphere. The budtenders know what products can help any and all ailments you have. But it takes a discussion, it takes a lack of crowd, a lack of hustle and bustle, to chat with your budtender and really consider what you need. This separate space is KEY in the medical marijuana business. Updating- they proceeded with the transformation a couple days ago, but things are (not surprisingly!) running quite smoothly despite the weird new flow of the place. read more

I'm currently 67 as of this writing. If you had told me 15 years ago that we would have legal medical marijuana and dispensaries right in my zip code, I'd have laughed you out of the room. But here we are. And imagine how thrilled I was to find a shop not more than a mile or two from my house. Unfortunately, after a few years of buying from them we discovered how much more we were paying for the product. This is where Silver State Relief enters the picture. After comparing product/prices with other local shops (and THAT'S a lot of shops to navigate now) I decided to roll the dice on SSR. It's been nothing but a GREAT decision ever since. Without a doubt this has to be the best bud dispensary in the area! This is a very well set up shop, with product that compares very favorably to any other shop's best offerings, however the two best selling points (besides the medicine) are the consistently great people that work there and the amazing prices. I don't want to make it sound like the wife and I are running around with constant IV drip lines plugged in delivering THC into our veins 24/7/365 but, let's admit it, it's a "challenging" world we live in these days and we do go through a bit of medicine to cope. But when we discovered that we could get as good or better product at Silver State than we got at our local bud tenders, and pay LESS THAN HALF for the same amounts?......Well, I may be stoned but I'm NOT a stoned FOOL! I'll GLADLY drive three times the distance to shop at SSR. I can honestly say that they hire the friendliest bud tenders, all very knowledgeable about the various chemical components of the products they sell. And everybody communicates very well. Ordered from Silver State due them being the only dispensary open during the pandemic shutdown. They had a $100 minimum which sucked but made sense. I made my order and was advised it would be delivered the following day. I ordered $80 worth of shatter and it was all melted when it was delivered . I emailed the company and they said "Sorry we can offer you a 5% discount for next time!" What about the $80 worth of product I cannot use? I didn't even need a refund I wanted them replaced. So I went to Silver State Relief for my first time today. It's not where I usually go. I went because on their website it had what I wanted. It also showed a 15% discount for disabled veterans over 55 years old. So I went and got money, can't believe they only take cash. Checked in .... Blah, blah, blah After I entered I got into line to purchase my product. Wait, wait, wait. So finally, I got to meet my salesperson. Told him what I wanted and asked about the discount. He told me I didn't get one, "only" the medical patients get this. Didn't respond when I asked why it was on they're website if they didn't honor it except for "medical" patients. I have been coming to Silver State since the day that it opened, generally have never had a problem. Always great prices friendly staff, and far from short on variety. Tonight however, was a little bit of a different experience at least once I got home. I had the unpleasant luck of getting home and realizing that not only the 1/4 that I purchased of Durban Poison was not in my bag, but that I had also allowed my daughter at the grocery store after we finished at Silver State to use the receipt for her gum she spit out. not sure what to do here. I came in and spent quite a bit of money tonight, multiple cartridges, four packs of gummy's, and the quarter of flower. Also, I tried to reach out to the phone number on Google and it takes me to some weird thing that wants me to enter my phone number so I cannot call anyone, I can't give them my receipt and I'm missing some thing. If there is anything anyone can do or any direction I can be directed in, how I might resolve this. I would greatly appreciate it. I came today at about 4:30. This has never happened before and money is tight as it is so I definitely couldn't afford to pay for something that I didn't get.... I know they were busy and the person who worked with me was wonderful and friendly, but clearly they were not paying attention and I guess I was banking on the fact that I thought they were. This is probably my favorite dispensary in the Reno/Sparks Area. I have almost been to every dispensary in town and the layout, customer service, prices, and quality of product is what makes this place the best. They layout is great because 9/10 times you are not waiting in a waiting room. Once you check-in with your ID, you are able to check-out the different strains, the menu, options for edibles and more in the sales floor room. I don't feel as rushed compared to other dispensaries. I also love the fact that I can see and smell the different types of strains. They even have coffee beans to clear your nose! I have never had bad customer service and every questioned I have had, the staff has been knowledgeable about their products. The products themselves are great especially considering their great prices. I will continue to make Silver State Relief my go-to dispensary! read more

First the bud tenders lie about their in house weed. It is not good and it's all really dark almost black. Second never buy the Silverstate brand flower. They will tell you it's good and it is not at all. I spent $300 yesterday and came out with some trash. Keep in mind their bags they use are not see through so cannot see the flower before you buy it.. you have to trust the lying buddtenders. All in all this dispensary has done nothing but give me Mexican dirt weed every time. Don't go to this dispensary if you are looking for quality flower. Just super disappointing read more

I am high risk for COVID so I place an order for curbside. Today there was one open parking spot for curbside pickup open and the rest were filled with empty cars. Silver state needs to enforce the rules for curbside parking but they don't seem to care about at risk clientele. I've spent thousands of dollars here and drive approximately 30 minutes each way only because of the curbside offered and the polite staff but I am seriously thinking about changing to somewhere closer and to a company who actually cares. read more

I am completely blown away by my experience with Eric, the very knowledgeable & informative employee. I came in with 2 of my friends and we all wanted different things. Eric answered all our questions, gave us informative suggestions, and overall really knew his products. My boyfriend has chronic back pain so he wanted a heavy CBD based flower. Eric went through the list, offered suggestions, and ultimately sold him on 2 different products. I picked out a cartridge for my pen and some edibles, while my friend got a 1/2 oz of shake. Eric picked out the best can with the most nuggets for me. I'd read very positive reviews, but my experience was not so great. The primary weakness of this establishment is that that menu cannot be searched and filtered. Even at the store, you have to stare at page after page of products. And some of the salespeople don't really know what's what. They seemed particularly unfamiliar and less than helpful with CBD products. So, unless you are coming with a specific list of what you're after, it can be a very frustrating experience. This is 2018: get a website that can be filtered and drilled down into. I used to shop at silver state until one time I had a highly uneducated bud tender. I always look up options before coming in, just because it's my style. So when I come in looking for something that was just on WeedMaps minutes before leaving, I do expect it to be in stock. Obviously this isn't always the case. However, when this particular budtender notified me they were out of what I was looking for--another budtender (who was in the middle of it with another customer entirely) assured me and "my" budtender the product was in fact in stock. I had to get another employee's assistance just for this item. She just couldn't find it! I know people go here for low prices, but if you are a connoisseur I highly urge you to go to places that train their bud staff extensively. The pandemic has displayed numerous issues concerning the management behind dispensaries. The customer service is very unpolished. The issues range from completely inaccurate delivery times and estimations, poor handling of product, aggressive responses to customer complaints, lack of communication and unreachable management teams, and general disorganization. Both Blackbirdgo and dispensaries need to significantly improve their systems because it's clear, based off customer response and experience, that there is clearly improvements to be made. read more

Below, I will copy paste my review from Leafly. This place is a never visit. The other complaints about the ridiculous, power tripping manager are totally correct. That guy is the worst. I.. honestly wrote a really, really long review for this place a second ago, and Leafly totally lost it when I left clicked the background. I'll keep it quick. This place has SUCKED ever since they merged the medical and recreational sides. They have lost at least 90% of their staff from when I used to visit. I've been coming to this dispensary for 2 years, and I used to spend (well) over $100 weekly there. It used to be delightful, but the new staff is mostly awful, and the manager has always been a massive jag. The kind of dude to not even print out your medical recommendation if you've had it printed out before. The weed sucks. Hood Oil and their house flower used to be SO MUCH BETTER. I'm amazed at how awful everything there is now. COVID has only cheapened the awful experience. The lines are massive. They removed the medical line. Worst of all, they will not give you terpene information on anything you purchase. They WILL throw you out for asking, I have been. They told me to CALL AHEAD and make the girl in intake find the terpenes for me, which took 10+ minutes every time and was totally ridiculous. Do NOT visit. In fact, please visit Sierra Wellness instead if you're looking for another budget place that wants to give you a good deal. I'm getting 3 grams of MPX cured resin there for $25 each. I got a $60 half ounce of Hippie Crippler flower the other day that was great. Two free prerolls for curbside pickup at night as well. Great curbside that switched items out for me when they ran out of stuff. They'll call you if they need help too. The more I think of Sierra Well, the less I worry about how far SSR has fallen.
