It was a very long time since we had dined here. We arrived with another couple, and selected Shrimp Cocktail and Lump Crab Cake as suitable starters. The Shrimp Cocktail featured meaty shrimps and was very good, and the Crab Cake was outstanding. A crock of French Onion Soup was very tasty, and a Silverado Dinner Salad with Artichokes, Hearts of Palm, and Champagne Vinaigrette Dressing good. A complimentary Bread Basket included desirable Raisin Bread and Pretzel Bread. For me, Surf and Turf with medium rare filet graced with both Bearnaise Sauce and Port Wine Demi-Glace, and accompanied by a well-cooked Baked Potato with butter and chives, along with Sauteed Mushrooms and Onions, was a fine entree for me, and Diane was pleased with two Lobster Tails and a Baked Potato that was loaded with bacon and cheese. We indulged in desserts, with Diane ordering Chocolate Molten Cake A la Mode, and me opting for a Key Lime Tart A la Mode. Both desserts were exemplary. Service by Glenn was excellent. Sunday my family went to the Silverado steakhouse for Mother's Day. I personally had never heard of this place but my Godmother comes here often. They had a Mother's Day special. $65 for a 3 course meal. This also included a bottle of wine for every 2 people. The service was great. The refills on drinks and wine were never asked for. The place is dimly lit giving the ambiance of a traditional steakhouse. I will say this restaurant is probably more so geared toward the older crowd. Now for the food. I can only base my review on the limited Mother's Day menu however, it still was pretty good. I was nervous because when you look at photos, it doesn't really give much. I started my first course with the shrimp tempura. They were fairly large. Large enough to be fancy and cut with the knife lol. The sweet and sour dip was the star of the show. For the second course I ordered the French onion braised short ribs of beef. To be honest, I wasn't really a fan. The flavor just wasn't there for me. The dish could have benefited from a little sodium and some spice. Even hot sauce didn't save it for me. For the last course I ordered the banana foster turnover, which came with a scoop of ice cream. Honestly it was the best thing on the limited menu. I was very surprised. This is the second time I have visited the Silverado Steak House with my buds, located at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89183 (located inside South Point Hotel and Casino). I can't say anything negative about it. This is a high end restaurant with all the trimmings. The moment you walk in your greeted by a professionally dressed Matradee. You are taken to a comfortable booth (or table) that has a linen tablecloth and napkins. The restaurant was very clean and well designed for customer comfort. We were then greeted by our waiter, Jose, who had a very professional appearance. He started us out with a bread basket that contained pretzel bread, raisin loaf, and other rolls. The real butter was served as round molded pats with designs on it (really fancy). The silverware was also very nice, as was the restaurant's decor. We started with an appetizer of fancy scallops in an orange sauce-really good! My buds had filet mignon which was the best he ever had. The 12oz prime rib I had was incredible and had been cooked to perfection. The salads with house made dressing and string beans were phenomenal! Dessert, we had creme brūlée and a key lime tart-absolute yum! Visiting Silverado Steak House is an experience. Jose and staff worked as a team so we were always attended to. Every time we come to Silverado Steak House, we always say, "why don't we come here more often?" It is a professional restaurant with excellent food and service. Whenever we go to a show at the South Point Hotel, we eat at the Silverado. It's nice, as one of the first things asked of you is whether you are going to a show. The menu changes a little from time to time, which we really like. On this trip, my wife had the salmon. It was a large piece of salmon cooked perfectly accompanied by a half of lemon. Her mashed potatoes were quite tasty. I had the Three Filets. The meat was very good as were the sauces on the filets. I had a very nice loaded dinner salad that also had artichokes in it, and was larger than I anticipated. My baked potato was about as large as they come. It was dressed out nicely! Silverado Steak House exceeded my expectations. We had reservations for Saturday night on Superbowl weekend. We made the reservation the night before for two, which was very easy! That morning, we modified and added more people just as asily as the initial reservation!!!! This was definitely a big plus!!! We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday, and they definitely made it feel special. The restaurant is steps away from the self parking structure entrance in an enclosed setting, so you won't have to worry about tasting a cigarette..or worse....when eating your food, unlike a few of their other offerings. If you're a guest at the hotel, make sure you look through your coupon book, as they have an offer of a complimentary bottle of the "wine of the month" with the purchase of two entrees, and you may be able to use multiple, but make sure you let your server know when ordering. Christian and Matt were our servers that evening, and they made our meal wonderful. They thoroughly explained the menu, the evening's specials, and even made sure with us to see if we wanted to cancel our initial beverage order after we presented the coupon. They both checked up on us frequently and our sodas and waters were never empty for long. Foodwise, amazing taste! I was expecting just average food, but almost everything blew me away! We started off with the Lobster Bisque and Caesar Salad. The salad is tossed fresh tableside, so get your cameras ready if you love recording. The lobster bisque is made with cognac, but you don't taste it, and the flavor is just right, not overly salty. We followed with a cut of 18oz prime rib paired with a baked potato, the pan seared free range chicken paired with mashed potatoes, carrots and sauteed mushrooms and a side of asparagus. The prime rib was cooked just right, but there were a lot of fat chunks all around. The chicken was just about perfect, and the vegetables complemented the chicken perfectly, but the chicken jus was a tad bit on the salty side. Asparagus, just perfect. No resistance when cutting in, and the sauce was definitely a pleasant surprise! The red of the month was Daou, hailing from Paso Robles, CA. I'm not big on wine, as it tends to turn my stomach inside out, but the flavor was very smooth, not bitter, and I felt great after polishing two glasses!!!! We finished off our meal with their Creme Brulee. Not the most mindblowing dessert, but still pretty good. I was expecting late night diner quality food, but you definitely get your money's worth and then some when dining here. We waited only a few minutes after checkin to be seated, and though a few of our party were running a bit behind schedule, we were able to be seated at our table, rater than be made to wait at the front or in the casino. While there may be many culinary offerings nearby, or a short drive away, this is definitely worth checking out if you don't want to drive, and want good food at a decent price. read more

Friends were staying at the Silverado and we decided to give the steakhouse a try. We made reservations and while it was pretty busy I'm sure a walk-in could have gotten a table. That being said better to have it and not need it. We were seated right away and immediately attended too. We got some water started and bread and shortly after we got our main drink orders taken. Everything came out in a timely manner once ordered. The servers were very attentive the entire time. The drinks were very good and the bread was very good. Once our meal came out everything was cooked to order and very tasty. Last night was the first time we ate here. The dining room ambience was nicely decorated with western themed murals mixed in with a little fine dining table settings. The wait was only 30mins for walk in, so it wasn't too bad. We ordered a rib eye steak and prime rib steak. Both were Cajun style and we also ordered the lobster bisque and French onion soup. The two soups were delicious and the Cajun style meats were okay. I think we prefer the Cajun style prime rib at primarily prime more. The dry rub Cajun seasoning was just a bit too smoky or something for my taste. The drive was filled with stories (some new, some retold like they were part of a greatest hits album). By the time we pulled up, the glow of SouthPoint felt inviting. A little quieter than the Strip, Inside, the Silverado Steakhouse had that classic feel--dark wood, soft lighting, the low murmur of conversation. Cath started with a Bloody Mary while I went with a Chardonnay. A complimentary bread basket hit the table (raisin and nut, pretzel, and sourdough rolls). The sourdough easily stealing the show. We both had the Silverado Salad, tossed tableside, which made a great start to the meal. When our entrées arrived, they were exactly what we'd been hoping for. Perfectly cooked, and well worth the wait. But truthfully, the food could've been anything; the real highlight was the chance to sit, relax, and catch up. Cath chose the filet mignon topped with Maytag blue cheese, and I went for the double-cut pork chop with bourbon demi, sweet pepper, and apple relish. My wife and I went to the Silverado Steakhouse inside the South Point Hotel & Casino. We began by ordering a bottle of their wine of the month. We went with the Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon, and for just $20, it was a hit. Then, the "dreaded bread basket." I say dreaded because if you're not careful, you can devour the entire thing. They have a great raisin and nut bread that is so delicious, and they also have sourdough rolls,and monkey bread. For our entree, we decided to split the Bone-In Ribeye. With this, you get a nice Silverado Salad, tossed tableside. With the steak, you also have your choice of a Baked Potato, Mashed Potatoes, or Vegetables (tonight it was green beans). Since we are watching our carbs, we went with the green beans. Now for the main event: the ribeye was a tender, juicy, and flavorful piece of meat. Each bite left a smile on my face. Our server, Lito, was great. Very attentive, but not too overwhelming, and his assistant was always quick to refill our waters. Now the best part: all of this was $60 (not including the $20 wine. In most nice steakhouses, your steak alone would be that much. And the best part chapter two: from now until December 24, you can pay with your South Point players card for just 50% of the cost, meaning everything INCLUDES THE WINE was only $40 worth of points. I would encourage you to fall in line at 11:45pm because it gets to the point where the line is long. This place is easy to locate. It's inside South Point. I had the opportunity to enjoy the Lamb Chops and Green Beans. While waiting for my meal, you receive a bread basket with three types of bread & butter. It took about 50 minutes for me to receive my meal. I was surprised with having a reservation, and I already had an idea of what I wanted to order. The food was delightful. The lamb was not too fatty and was cooked well. One of the highlights was the Kahlúa Cheesecake. That was lovely! The noise started to become loud with the crowd and the Women's Bowling Competition crowd coming to have a meal. I was surprised for an upscale restaurant to see people in street clothes. It was very good and tasted fresh. The cold seafood platter for one came with two cocktail shrimp, an oyster, and crab. There was a generous portion of crab. My bf mixed it in his salad. The French onion soup was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. For our main dish we ordered the 12 oz filet mignon. I stay at the South Point Hotel once a year for a work conference and I always try to work in a visit to the Silverado Steak House. This is a traditional steak house. Dark woods, coffered ceilings, sharp dressed employees, and exemplary service. We had a 5:00 reservation and I think they had just opened at 5:00 because I have never seen this place when it's not bustling. I'll keep this in mind when I'm back next year and making dinner reservations. We were served by Roxanne and Rey and they were an incredible team! The service was warm, solicitous, and efficient all at the same time. Both truly helped elevate our meal! We were seated and had menus, bread & butter, and waters in less than sixty seconds. Amazing service! The butters were presented in a cute flower shape and the bread basket had a few different types of bread. One was like a soft pretzel, one was a soft roll, and one was sweet & crunchy. The soft roll and the soft pretzel were our favorites. I chose the Argentinian skirt steak with chimichurri and mashed potatoes and my dining companion chose their 8 ounce filet mignon with mashed potatoes. The meals also included a salad that was prepared table side. That's always such a nice touch! My skirt steak was sooo tender & flavorful and the chimichurri was so fresh and added such a brightness to the beef. The mashed potatoes were very creamy and decadent. My dining companion reported that the filet was cooked medium rare to perfection and it was topped with a delicious melted butter. We ordered cocktails and those were brought so fast! If you're staying at the South Point, there is a coupon in the book in your room for Silverado Steak House for a free bottle of wine with purchase of entree. We asked if we could take it to go and so that's we did. The wine is Hahn Cabernet Sauvignon and it was good! The steakhouse gives you old school Vegas vibes with some Hollywood western (there's even a picture of John Wayne on the wall). You start with the bread basket - the pretzel bread was good but the walnut raisin bread was great. Next was the appetizer, I chose the lobster bisque with two little tacos (one had crab salad and the other stuffed with beef) - all great. I also tried the shrimp cocktail, which were giant shrimp that you dip in cocktail sauce or remoulade sauce - all yummy. Then, the salad cart arrived to deliver table side salad with champagne vinaigrette. The salad included some artichoke hearts and hearts of palm - nice touch. The ribeye arrived hot and a nice medium rare covered in grilled onions with green beans and a giant baked potato. This was tasty main course and a huge portion. If you went home hungry, then you have a bottomless pit for a stomach. Finally, the meal came with three options for dessert and I tried all three. As locals we try to support our restaurants. This week we ate at the Silverado Steak house in the Southpoint casino and it was a disaster. The prime rib entree $41 for 12 oz. was over cooked, tasteless and expensive. It included a salad (bland) and mashed potatoes (two small scoops). You could not substitute salad for soup as you can at the Primarily Prime Rib ($27.95 for 10 oz Prime Rib) which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Only good points were the included bread basked and $20 bottle of wine, which you can get at the other two restaurants also. The decor was nice but not as nice as the Primarily Prime Rib. Yes, I would have sent it back but my wife would not allowed because she is too kind. I hope this was just an off day but wll never to there again when there are so many other choices in Vegas. read more

This is a hidden treasure and a great off strip steakhouse! The interior is large and simple but has a very old world Las Vegas feeling. The server was truly excellent. Attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The shrimp cocktail starter was excellent with fresh shrimp and a tangy classic sauce. Unlike most steakhouses where everything is a la carte, at this restaurant entrees include a wonderful house salad mixed table-side as well as a choice of potato or vegetables. I had the pork chop entree which was thick yet tender and tasty and juicy. The baked potato was large and served with a choice of toppings. For dessert I had the "walk through the Black Forest" which featured a small Black Forest brownie and tasty cherry ice cream. We wanted to go the Prime Rib room upstairs, however the Primarily Prime Rib is closed on Monday night, so we had to go to the Silverado Steak house. So First of all, we were a party of 14 and they accommodated us on a moments notice. Several ordered the filet mignon, several order the ribeye steaks, and a few of us had the salmon I have to tell you not a single person was disappointed with what they ordered and to top it all off the service was excellent in being in a big group. The meal begins with an assortment of bread, and while they're all great, the pretzels are my personal favorite. For my entrée, I ordered the bone-in ribeye, cooked medium, which was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. It comes with a tableside salad, which adds a nice touch of freshness, and a choice of an additional side--I went with a baked potato, which was a perfect complement to the steak. To finish off the meal, I had the cinnamon bread pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending. Be sure you make your RSVP! This iconic Las Vegas Steakhouse is not easy to just get into! It fills up for good reason. Beautiful classic dining room! Excellent service! And some of the Best Steaks you can find. I'm so not exaggerating! The meat literally melts in your mouth! The stuffed Portabellas were delish! My steak was Perfectly cooked to MR. The flavors were significantly better than anyone else! When I tell you melt in your mouth, I mean like soft Butter baby! Every bite was delightful! Our server was professional and personal! The Wine List was structured,in various price ranges and regions so anyone could find a Treasure to accompany their meal perfectly! Silverado steakhouse is located inside the South Point casino hotel. It is toward the northwest corner of the casino area. There is ample well lit parking, a parking deck and also valet available. Today I tried Silverado steakhouse for the first time. A friend was in town and he wanted to go out for steak. I wanted to stay close to home so I began my search on Yelp and decided to give Silverado a try. From the moment you enter the dimly lit Silverado Steak House, the smells of deliciously cooked meat waft through out the dining area. We were promptly seated for our reservation and were seated toward the back of the restaurant in a booth. The waiter came quickly and took drink orders and filled glasses with water for us. Menus were given and specials were announced. My friend and I both opted for the filet and scallop special this evening. A bread basket was placed on the table and the flavors were announced. The bread was delicious. Salads arrived at the table, crisp and fresh lettuce filled the plate with dressing that didn't overpower the dish. Then, the entree arrived. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium temperature and the scallops were cooked perfectly as well. The mashed potato's had great flavor as did the asparagus spears. Silverado steakhouse didn't disappoint and I would put it to the test with other high end venues like Hanks at green valley ranch and Oscars in the Plaza. I went to Silverado Steakhouse to celebrate a family member's birthday. It was my first time dining there. She had been there before and chose it. As soon as we were seated a security officer approached me and asked me about my service dog and gave him a tag. This is the first time I was given a tag outside of festivals. He wasn't rude but he wasn't especially nice either. The room has an old Vegas vibe to it. All the serving was done with gueridons. The service started out fantastic. They even had a birthday card for the guest of honor. What a nice touch. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the handling of my wheat allergy. We started with the Shrimp Cocktail and Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail. Both were very fresh and delicious. The entrees came with a house salad that is tossed table side in their house champagne vinaigrette that is delightful. The birthday girl wanted 1000 island dressing instead so they made a separate salad for her. Of course the most important part is the steaks. My Filet was super tender and came out at the perfect temperature. I unfortunately have to say that the Bearnaise sauce is the worst I've ever had. My husband's Prime Rib was very good. The other two both ordered the Bone-in Ribeye. They said they were fabulous. The service kind of fell off during the second half of the meal. They are great at getting the meals out but not clearing. We felt like there was a traffic jam of plates on the table. The desserts were yummy. We ordered the Creme Brûlée and the "A walk in the Black Forest" . The Black Forest was a brownie with black cherrie ice cream. It was to die for. The Crème Brûlée was ultra creamy and luscious. Overall a nice meal with great company. read more

A nice steakhouse tucked away in an older casino. I enjoyed their service and table side salad. The steaks was great, flavorful with strong charred made the steak wholesome. I have to say their appetizers were actually the star of the show for me. We ordered the crispy taco and the ribs, both were delicious. The filet mignon trio was alright, the idea is great, because I loved the variety of the sauce. However I think only 1 out of the 3 sauces was good for me. So I didn't really enjoy the dish. We also ordered bone in prime rib and that was lovely. A huge portion so if you didn't order sides, you can get tired of the taste quickly but that's the problem with steaks anywhere I think. The interior do the restaurant reminder me of a "romaine" restaurant in the 60's. Table booths rounding the perimeter of the restaurant, main light source are similar to candlelight to touch a bit of "classic". read more
