For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. My aunt looked at his order paper and saw that he had written down only the ramen, not the other three items. We decided to cancel the remaining items, pay for our ramen, and leave. It was a disappointing experience, especially since we were the first customers there. However, the ramen was delicious, the ambiance was nice, and the restaurant was clean. Next time, please confirm the complete order with the customer to make sure everything was written down correctly. I'm leaving three stars because of the delicious ramen and pleasant ambiance.

The smell came from a sewer line somewhere in the vicinity of the restaurant. Be that as it may, we left about five minutes into our wait. I knew that waiting any longer for a seat inside the restaurant would result in my wife and I eating our meal with the stench of sewage tainting every slurp and every bite. The problem is a city sewage problem, but Kitakata bears the burden. Please let me know the problem has been addressed by the city and I will return.
