Well HOT DAMN!!!! There is FINALLY a legit ramen joint in the area... thank you, Silverlake Ramen, for bringing your noody goodness to Temecula! I have searched high and low across the valley for San Diego/Orange County-esque ramen and am glad to say it has arrived at long last. I went in to try it out for the first time because everyone knows I'm not an LA person, nor do I like driving there, lol. I know I'm probably missing out on a lot of good grub out there, but this is one less thing to worry about. I was still skeptical as I walked in, thinking it would be similar to other places around here. I was so happy to be mistaken!! I ordered the Classic Tonkotsu Combo, which came with a choice of an appetizer. I picked the Pork Bun. It came out first, and it was such a thing of beauty! The Tonkotsu Ramen came shortly after, and this is where I got excited. Although the broth wasn't piping hot like I'm used to, it was there on every level. It wasn't lacking any flavor, and the creaminess was lip-smacking delish! I do wish it came with a whole Seasoned Boiled Egg, but it only came with half and one piece of pork. Most places give at least 2. The pork was well seasoned, and it was tender, so props for that! The noods seemed a bit stiff at first. I'm not sure if they are made in-house daily, but I let it sit a while in the broth to "cook" a bit more. As you can see, I left nothing behind. The meal was filling and worth the $20. Sophia provided exceptional customer service with a smile from beginning to end. The restaurant is clean and spacious, good for groups, family, or a solo meal. I would have loved to give that 5th star, but the half egg, one piece of pork and broth that wasn't steaming hot, held it back. It's all good, though. This is by far the best ramen in the IE if you ask me. Find it at the Promenade in Temecula between Luna Grill and Lululemon. FYI, I read from other reviews that they do give a military discount with valid I.D., but I didn't do it this time since I ordered a combo, which was already discounted. Came in around 645. Busy but not crowded but not empty. In the beautiful in between. Emily was the server. She was really attentive and friendly. I knew coming so late there was a chance they could be out of the Naurto merch. But she checked and thankfully they had exactly what my kiddos were wanting. Can't believe I came all the way to Temecula to get ramen when I have access to couple dozen near home. There are at least three Silverlake Ramen locations within 10 mile radius of where I live. Given its somewhat fast expansion I never really wanted to give it a try but this seemed like the best option while traveling with little kids. My family and I ordered the Classic, Garlic Truffle, and Blaze ramen. Last one was my favorite because I like spicy ramen, but the Classic (tonkotsu broth) was nearly as good. Garlic Truffle was my least favorite even though it was the most expensive one. I think it's because it uses a combination of pork and vegetable broth, where as the other two are pure pork broth. Protein choices are pork, chicken, or tofu on all ramen. Definitely seems like a popular spot because it got packed about 15 minutes after it opened. This is my second time ordering Silverlake Ramen...just this month. Yes, it's THAT good. I have not been in person, both times I tried their delivery. This is a 10/10 service. The ramen comes with the broth in a separate container so nothing gets soggy. The ramen is so so good, definitely in the top of my list. I got the Blaze ramen with chicken and medium spice. My husband, which is very picky, gets the pork bowl with pickled cucumbers. This is also one of his favorite dishes. For appetizers we have tried the grilled gyozas and crispy chicken karaage. The menu simply offers what you would expect from a good ramen spot. There are a few options for broth, toppings, and proteins (you can add extras too). The broth I tried was creamy, well spiced and balanced. Very testy! There are a few options for starters such as buns or chicken karaage. It's a very small restaurant. Very busy, but we were seated fairly quick. 15 minutes wait for 2. Service was good. Love that it's right next to the mall so I can just cross the street & go shopping if for any reason they ever have a long wait. Food was great. Except for the popular truffle ramen. I thought the broth was mild and kind of bland. It doesn't have a deep enough flavor like some of my favorite ramen shops in LA or SD. I did however LOVE the tsukemen dipping ramen broth. It's flavorful & rich just as it should be, and coats the noodles perfectly. The chashu pork is so tender & perfect too. I do wish that they cooked the noodles less so it can have some chew to it. I expected to order at a counter because of the casual atmosphere but was pleasantly surprised to have a server take our order at the table. We ordered several different items in order to get a good idea of the menu. The Gyoza was a huge hit! We loved them. The Bao Buns are amazing. Very flavorful and perfectly cooked proteins. The Ramen was good but it was our least favorite dish. We ordered the Tomkatsu ramen. My favorite entree was the chicken bowl with ALL the add-ons. Total flavor bomb! Such good chicken. This place missed the mark by a mile for us, maybe it's because it was hyped up so much on Facebook that we had such high expectations. 10 stars on service alone, everyone is really friendly and helpful, I did like the fact that I got a refill on my iced matcha tea which was yum! The place is a lot smaller than the pictures posted depicts, plus no proper waiting area for people coming in, so they are all jammed at the front door watching you eat. Prices are pricey, $5 for a small ramekin of edamame that most other restaurants give complimentary. My friend ordered a water with lemon and was brought a water with no lemon because they didn't have any, yet we all got slices of lemon with our gyoza which was really weird. In my entire life I've never had a gyoza made with an egg roll wrapper let alone eat it with lemon. To each their own, this was probably the highlight of the meal anyway. We ordered two classics and a veggie ramen, food came out relatively quick even though it was a packed house, but sadly the ramen was barely luke warm. The mayu (black garlic oil) was delicious, but everything else was bland and the noodles were nothing spectacular either. Basically we all concluded that this was something that could be easily made at home at the fraction of the cost. Also anything that you order on the side to add to your ramen comes in separate dishes, I ordered garlic mushrooms and that came to me cold as well. The reason for such a low rating is at the time we got our bill (pushing $90 for 3 combo ramens and one edamame and 3 drinks) I asked if they have military discount, which they do! The girl said she would apply the discount and bring me back a new bill. She did not, instead she came back with their electronic payment device and all of a sudden with my "discount" my total went UP $3 so I had to question it on principle. Apparently when applying the discount, it took off the "combo discount" and that took them about 10+ minutes to figure out and we just sat at the table awkwardly. She brought out some hot sauce and we made it through. The check comes and we got hit with a surcharge for the hot sauce. I went to Silverlake Ramen on Monday and had an amazing experience. My server, Raquel, was incredible! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations. I ended up ordering one of her suggestions, the Shoyu on Fire with chicken, and it did not disappoint. She explained that it has a chicken stock base, which made the flavor even more comforting and rich. I also ordered the combo with fried gyoza, and Raquel recommended squeezing lemon on them to enhance the flavor. I tried them both before and after adding the lemon, and wow!! Such a game changer! Newly opened Silverlake Ramen chain is located in the open air part of The Promenade. Lots of parking the garage. I came in on a Thursday night and they were not full. I was stuck in traffic and had already gotten a text that my food was ready. By the time I picked up my food it had been sitting out a good 30 minutes. It was sitting by the door in a rack like most restaurants. I was worried that it would be cold so as soon as I got it, I ate it in my car after taking pictures of course! The soup was still warm, yeah! The noodles were separated and at first they were hard. The key is to let it seep in the soup a little longer. I really liked the garlic truffle Ramen! It was so good! Finally!!!! An authentic ramen bistro in Temecula! I've eaten ramen all over Japan and will unabashedly admit this place is legit! Even their egg is perfectly done every single time. I'm not fond of the thicker noodles. The tonkatsu ramen is my go to. Some of the other noodles come with the thicker noodle. No need to mess with a good thing. Daniel was so attentive and kind as soon as we came in and were seated and was also kind enough to go over the menu with us since we hadn't been there before. We ordered the gyoza and chicken karaage, 2 "blaze" (a spicy tonkatsu broth) ramen with pork chasu- extra spicy. Keep in mind, they do not serve any alcohol if that's what you wanted. Upon arrival at 4pm our info was taken for seating and we were told 15 minute wait time and will be notified via text. We waited outside the restaurant, and saw other groups being seated without their info being taken. A table finally had cleared up, but no one was checking the queue and I have not received a text. My family was the only group around. I mentioned it to the server and she tells us she just needs to wipe it. She wipes it and she doesn't come to us at all. We waited even longer, we weren't seated until 4:57pm, we didn't even get the text message for the table being ready. Our 15 minute wait time had turned into 50 mins instead. We finally get sat and 10 mins had passed, and still no service, not even any water. Had to catch the attention of the waiter ourselves. Food was okay. Temecula doesn't really have a spot for ramen, and it sucks that this place did not live up to its hype. The most unfortunate part was WE FOUND A HAIR in my son's food! There was no telling from when it was given to us until he had eaten some of the rice. I mentioned it to the waiter and he just said "ooo sorry about that" and disappears.
