The food looked delicious and I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't on par with how good the food looked. The onion rings and fish and chips were bland and lacking in flavor. Some of the sides, such as coleslaw and picked vegetables, were just average but they paired well with the oily fried food. There were condiments (ketchup + something original) but the food itself should also have flavor. However, the food's texture was really nice. The crispiness, the crunch... just amazing. If only the food didn't completely rely on the condiments for taste. Food was somewhat pricey, but the owners were really kind and easy to talk to. Overall, I would still be willing to go back and try their food again. My friend had a better experience with the lobster roll. Parking is not the most accessible. read more

Same owners as Bolete and Mister Lee's Noodles which already makes it really promising. Located on the left as soon as you enter the Easton Public Market right across from Mister Lee's. Minimal counter seating along with addition seating within the market. My friends and I each got a couple things from around the market to share. Had a bowl of the Lobster Bisque from here and it was definitely a winner. Since the lady heard we were sharing she threw in an extra piece of bread. Just that extra touch- nice and attention to detail! The bisque was packed with flavor and great smooth consistency. I just wish there were also a few additional chunks on top. Would definitely revisit if I'm in the market area. I'm really interested in their Lobster Roll but at $22 I'd want to see what it looks like first haha read more

A taste of New England seafood!! This is what I have been waiting for!! Raw oysters freshly shucked!! Fried clams and shrimp, side of fires and onion rings. Cole slaw with pickled cabbage and pickles that were sooooo good and a radish. Sauce sauce sauces remoulade spicy delicious tartar mmmm cocktail and minuet sauce. Place was clean staff was attentive and they cooked it right there in front of me. The young woman behind the counter who was cooking was so nice. Love Silvershell, takeout food is amazing. Lobster Rolls, Vegan Crab cakes, Shrimp Platter, Stuffie everything is so worth it. Ordered online and picked up dinner for the family, everyone loved their choices. The Stuffie was almost a meal on its own. Lobster roll was worth every penny. Fries were not good. Old oil, too thinly sliced. I tossed them, because they sucked. Shrimp were wee, small as can be for a $24 plate. Unseasoned. SALT?! Staff? AWESOME! Great, friendly, nice folks. Pickles? If you like sweet ones, they're good. Random radish half. Julienned beets and way small slaw, underwhelming. Mom disliked the fish n' chips. Improperly heated oil, so the fish was greasy and unpleasant. Fries? Sucked, like mine. Hush puppies? Amazing! Goodness, I wanna eat them by the pound!! Probably won't go back. read more

Ventured back to the EPM last night to try Silvershell. We were a bit concerned after reading the Google reviews but rest assured this place is great! Yes... a bit pricey but the seafood quality was top notch. I had the fried shrimp platter (comes with an ample serving of crisp fries, the perfect cole claw, and cocktail & tartar sauces that had something unique about them. The breading on the shrimp was super light which made the large portion easy to eat all of. My husband and our friend had the fish & chips, both loved them! My other friend had the fried scallops - very light, perfectly done. We also shared an order of hush puppies - at $4 for a serving of 9 they were a great deal is a bit too salty. We really WANT to like it. The concept is fantastic! We've had some pretty good items but for the most part not impressed. We ordered 'lobster bisque' yesterday and it was awful. We threw it out. It seemed like spicy tomato soup. Very spicy. Not a creamy base with a touch of Sherry. Absolutely no lobster. Zero. These are tough times for restaurants but they could do better. read more

As recent transplants to the area, we were pleased to find a seafood place a the Easton Public Market. Imagine our surprise then that it sparkles! Silvershell offers only top quality seafood including three varieties of New England oysters, beautiful Little Neck clams, three species of wild salmon, and Alaskan Halibut. For lunch, we had super fresh Halibut ceviche and an overflowing lobster roll. Both exceeded expectations. The friendly Owner Lee, attentive Chef Steve and a helpful crew sealed the deal. I end up getting the shrimp platter they give you like 20 plus fried shrimp they were seasoned very nice and the fry they used was nice as well it was cooked right not to dine just right the fries were a good compliment there was a red like beet looking thing and a slaw as well but ima picky eater so I didn't touch it. They had their own cocktail sauce it was nice usually I like it spicier but my mom always says I should try new things and expand my pallet it was 25 dollars well spent I didn't even finish it all thats How you know it's a lot of good because im greedy ill be taking the rest for lunch tonight and I'll definitely be back!! read more

Gave them another shot. Tried the lox for the second time. Just as greasy & chewy as the first. This time accompanied by a strong campfire aroma that is still lingering on me/my clothes/the kitchen (I don't know I've changed & washed my hands multiple times, but I can still smell it). Also tried the lobster bisque which was very creamy & smooth as it didn't contain a single piece of lobster meat. What it did have was an over abundance of sourness that masked any possible lobster flavor. The soup did come with 2 very delicious slices of toasted baguette that oozed butter with every bite. While delicious, they are not enough to warrant a third try. Very disappointing. read more

After watching my food be prepared, disappointment for a more expensive lunch only begins to describe. I was served "crab chowder" - which was the equivalent of milky water with a few bits in it - no crab? In addition, I watched the guy behind the counter wipe his somewhat sweaty face with his bare hand than proceeded to batter my calamari in front of me, no gloves and no hand washing. I would have taken it up with the girl at the counter who took my order, short brown hair - but her attitude was so nasty it didn't seem worthwhile to fight with her. I was not only disappointed, but I threw the calamari away. Sucks that this open kitchen concept can't follow health code IN FRONT OF PATRONS. Never going back. read more

We finally made our way to the Easton Public Market to get some takeout from Silvershell. In short, it was worth the 30 minute drive. When I called with a few questions about the menu, they were extremely friendly and helpful. Once we made our decisions, we phoned again and placed our order for pickup. We tried the crab fries, clam chowder, fried clams, shrimp, lobster rolls, and stuffies (yes, real stuffies!!!). Although we had read all the rave reviews, we were still a little skeptical. As a family with New England roots, we were spoiled with fresh and delicious seafood and were uncertain if a place in PA would remind us of home. To our delight, it was all amazing. I could go on in detail about every item (because yes, I commandeered a bite of everyone's meal) but truly, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection and the portions were generous. The fried items were crisp and not greasy at all, the lobster was tender... I did say I could go on. As we have been pretty cautious pandemic-wise, we opted for curbside pickup at Easton Public Market. It was super convenient. We look forward to our next meal here!!! read more

I have been waiting for years for a restaurant to finally serve authentic whole belly fried clams. This is the place. Located inside the Easton Public Market. Their fried foods like clams, oysters, shrimp are not heavy but light and delicious. They sell Lobster rolls both cold and hot. When ever we go there the staff is friendly and fast. Our new friend behind the counter is named Steve. He makes it a very informative dinning experience. All the food looks and tastes fresh. It's a shame they don't stay open a little later than 7pm. My only criticism is that since I am used to Massachusetts fried clams (they give you a lot for your money) isn't that way here. But I'm so happy to have fried clams and their delish onion rings that I will continue eating there even if I wish they gave you more clams for the money. If you've never had a whole belly clam then you've been eating rubber band strips from everyone else. Gotta give this place a try to see what a real fried clam tastes like. And their " stuffies". (A big baked clam) is very tasty. Go people!!!! read more
