Set in an old Victorian house, this restaurant is great. From the decor to the staff to the great food selection. We have eaten here a few times and was always welcomed with open arms. Food is always fresh and tasty. Never had a bad experience here. We did happen to experience a friendly ghost who thought it was funny turning off and on the lights. (Read about it on there website). I have had dinner at Silvio's Italian Villa before, and their food is by-far one of the best places to eat in the Warwick area. I went tonight with a friend, where we split the Pollo Ripieno and the Salmon Toscano. My chicken was flavorful and came with a delicious side of pesto risotto and vegetables. The vegetables were fresh tasting and had a nice crunch to them, which does not always happen at some places. The Salmon was just as good, and came with white beans and spinach. The service at Silvio's is homey and friendly, and our waitress was very accommodating and funny. The decor inside Silvio's is classy and is different than most places in Warwick, and that is what I love most about it. Each seating area seems to offer something different, and they also have outside seating which is perfect in the warmer weather. Not to mention, they have live music and different events to see. We enjoyed the service and the atmosphere in the 1700's mansion turned restaurant. We were hoping to catch a glimpse of one of their famed spirits as local lore has it that the place is haunted by various entities but alas, there were probably too many patrons there for an appearance. In hindsight, it's probably best as it would have been a shame to spill any of my Villa martini (yum!) due to being frightened by a ghost, lol. I had the tonno nero and it was fantastic but would have preferred the dish to come out hotter as it was a little lukewarm. My husband and I went out for dinner last minute and it was great they were able to get us in so quick. Unfortunately, our server was terrible. We put our whole order in at once and the food and drinks came out fast. However, we were forgotten about when it came to getting another drink, she didn't check on us with our app, dinner, drinks, or even deliver us our own check. We called to make a reservation for 16 they accommodated us immediately on a Sat night. I've been meaning to come here, I've heard good reviews about the food is delicious so I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did, I didn't expect to be put in a private room I felt like I was home and the kids were at a separate table in their own separate room adjoining us, but we couldn't see them but if they wanted to come in the room to bother us that's OK too I guess. There portions were decent I loved there appetizers & salads were perfect. Specials were delish. Our bill came to 900$ which I didn't expect to spend 250$ for the four of us 2 adults 2 kids (they did have a kids menu) I thought it just was a bit pricey, I usually spend about $100-$160 probably will just come back with just adults, I will definitely be back. Went for a girl's weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed this new find. The apps were all delicious; Mozzarella in carozzo, pita with fig jam, fried calamari. I had the twin lobster tails with basil risotto. Amazing!! Dessert was apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back. read more

The walk through the Georgian style building on the way to the outdoor dining patio was worthy. Fun to enjoy the ambiance and muse on all who preceded us here. The dining patio was comfortable, specious, and pandemic appropriate. The service was satisfactory, and the meal itself was likewise satisfactory. I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka ($25) with chopped lobster. It was tasty and satisfying. The portion was merely sufficient. My friend ordered the 12 oz. Sirloin Steak ($34). He asked that it be prepared medium well, but was presented medium rare. Nevertheless he reported it tender and juicy. One disappointment.... for the meal price a house salad should have been offered. Ala Cartre salads were pricey. $10 for a basic Caesar salad was a tad unreasonable from my perspective. How does an establishment such as this one try to pass off salmon as chicken...TWICE!!! We visited on Saturday night, a party of 7 for which I made reservations, but unnecessary as the place was empty at 6:30. Our waitress was very sweet, polite and prompt, but there must have been something going on in the kitchen. After writing my last review from June, we again visited in September with friends and enjoyed a delicious dinner - all four of us, from soup to desserts it was very good, so we returned this Saturday to celebrate a birthday. The special was chicken in a brown sauce with mushrooms, asparagus and pasta (linguine or fettuccine) and both myself and my husband ordered it but what we got was salmon in pink sauce with wilted broccoli - how does that happen??? Well, apparently even though it was only 6:30 they had already run out of the chicken pasta special and, without telling us, replaced it with salmon. I ate mine because I figured I would try something I wouldn't normally order, and it was tasteful, but again, this type of dish isn't something I would normally have eaten. My husband returned his and chose no meal. The kitchen, however, did attempt to make amends by serving him a dish of --- chicken with mushrooms in a brown sauce --- albeit as everyone else was done eating. Also, an order of tuna was served cold when it was ordered well done and when asked for it to be warmed, returned as everyone else was done eating. And what was the compensation offered for this $600 meal?? the price of one meal was reduced (we think because the bill was illegible) AND leftovers of meal that was asked to be wrapped were never brought out. read more

Very disappointed. Came here for an early dinner on Saturday. Was asked if I had reservations and when I replied "no. Do we need one?" the manager came back with some sarcastic remark. (I can take my business elsewhere if serving us without reservations when the restaurant is empty js a problem). Drink orders came quick then it was downhill from there. 2 different wait staff were going back in forth in front of us at our table, apparently they weren't sure who was supposed to be handling our table. Took over 45 minutes to take our food order. After the food came, we NEVER saw anyone again. No one came to see how the food was, no one came over to offer refills or another drink. Nothing. Finally after an hour of finishing our meals and just sitting there, we had to walk back inside and look for someone to pay. That was another 20 minutes. Then to add insult to injury there was a $5 fee of some sort added to our bill. We won't be back.... read more

This is one place you go for the rare ambiance paired with meals that are cooked authentically. First you pull up to this historic estate and the view is amazing. The hostess walked us to our table and you look around and see the nostalgia around you. Our table had a window view of the beautiful outdoor terrace. Our waiter Joesph, super friendly, explained everything about how all the meat and dairy is locally grown and how the bread and fresh mozzarella is made in house. I gotta say for living in the city you only think good Italian food exists in Brooklyn, Staten Island & manhattan. You will be blown away when you eat here! read more

Recent visit, party of 11. Food was awful and incredibly over-priced. I had some type of chicken "special". Basically sauteed chicken and veggies for $25. Wife sent her veal oscar back and didn't bother to order anything else. Not sure how they did it but the veal was tough and tasted like flour and pepper. Sister in-law ordered lobster dish, 3 pieces of lobster on a bed of pasta with heavy cheese sauce. Generally, no one liked their meal except the kids. Their chicken nuggets were OK I guess. The service was below satisfactory. We waited over an our for our entrees. My grandkids received their food when we had our appetizer. The grandkids had their food wrapped to go. Last weekend Silvio's Italian Villa catered my wedding at a nearby summer camp in Warwick, NY. I can say that the experience was easy, fun, and tasty for everyone involved! Our work with Pina - the contact we had there - was wonderful She was in consistent communication with us about our needs. She made suggestions that worked out extremely well in the end and helped cater to my wife's gluten-free needs. The food was plentiful, tasty, and varied. We had fish, pastas, salads, risotto balls, and more. The serving staff was very nice and interpersonal and helped our guests get what they needed very easily. They all helped work with us and the Jewish traditions to balance what we needed food-wise and where we needed it. Their prices were very reasonable and ended up being much cheaper than we could have gotten through a caterer from Brooklyn or New York (of course). Well executed and reasonably priced traditional Southern Italian cuisine served with a smile in a beautiful traditional American setting. You will also find a nice selection of wines and specialty cocktails. Try the home made tiramisu for desert which was excellent. Very good food somewhat spoiled by deceptive pricing. We've gone several times and always enjoyed it. I especially like the Tonno Nero, outdoors on the patio on a summer night. We arrived tonight and noticed a sign saying "Throwback Thursday. Buy 1 dinner, get 2nd half off." Great! The four of us took our seats, heard the specials (including $3 side salad) and ordered. I even asked the server whether there were any restrictions on the 1/2-off special and she said "no". We loved the food and had a great evening. But when we got the bill I noticed the entrees were $19, $24, $24, and $37. The $19 was crossed out and reduced to $9.50. The salad was $6 and my 2 G&Ts had been changed to Tanqueray & tonic. When I questioned the charges I was told there is only ONE half price dinner per table. I did get $3 off on the salad and didn't bother challenging the G&T. Never asked how we enjoyed the meal. Second course served with appetizer dishes still on the table and had to insist they be removed first. I could go on. In and out for Friday night dinner in an hour. How about timing between courses. Then they added a 3.99% Covid charge to the bill . I'm not sure for what. I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here this past Friday evening. Due to that my experience will probably be much different than most peoples. The outside of Silvio's is rather cute as it looks like it could have been an old farm homestead. There is a stone wall in front of the restaurant and the building is a big white place that looks like it could have been a farm house. Whenever we stepped inside the staff was ready for our party and we had a large room full of tables along with a bar on one side of the room. This rehearsal dinner ended up being a buffet and so all of the food was set up on one side of the room and we were allowed to go over and help ourselves. The first set of food to come out was the appetizers and it consisted of some fried calamari, cheese sticks and stuffed mushrooms. As soon as the lids to the serving vessels were opened many people in the room swarmed over to them. I eventually ended up trying all three items and I thought that both the cheese sticks and stuffed mushrooms were both really good but that they calamari was a bit overcooked and thus rubbery. The next set of food to come out was the entrees which consisted of a salad, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, roast beef, red skinned potatoes and some carrots and beans. What was nice was that the staff learned from the swarming of the appetizers and announced that they would release us to the buffet on a table by table basis which ended up working out much smoother. All of this food ended up tasting decently with my favorite being the roast beef. In the end I think that I ended up enjoying the appetizers more than the entrees. Last but not least was dessert which consisted of cannolis and coffee. The cannolis were the perfect size and rather good and I easily polished mine off without filling myself up too much. The bottom line for me is that I would probably head back here again in the future. While I wasn't amazed by the food that we had it wasn't bad and I do realize it was from a buffet and so that makes it a little more difficult. What I did enjoy was the ambiance of the place, both inside and out, and I felt like the staff did a really nice job for such a large group. read more

But family running it. Food was fresh. Taste was ok. Bread and tapenade was excellent would have liked more of it. Dishes- I had chicken with a lemon sauce it was good. Partner had a veal dish with marscapone. Not very good too much mascarpone for his taste overwhelmed the veal. Wouldn't recommend that dish so much. My family and I recently had planned a large luncheon following a very sad event in our lives. We need a place to hold are large amount of guests. You can not go wrong with the outdoor patio. The patio was private and able to hold our large family comfortably. The service and professionalism from start to finish was outstanding. Very disappointed in my 2nd visit after such a wonderful experience about a month ago. Arrived for a 5:30pm reservation for outside patio. With as many as 8 empty tables, we asked to be seated in a shadier location. The hostess(pleasant) said she would need to check and came back to say we could sit at the original table or sit inside. We decided to stay outside but made it clear I was dissatisfied since the outside area was mostly empty (and remained fairly empty throughout). Upon hearing this from our server(pleasant), the manager came out to say we could move. I politely and most importantly, quietly told her we would stay where we were as she had already made her decision when we arrived. She began to speak loudly, with the few diners there, overhearing her. I politely asked her to please keep her voice down as she was becoming a distraction to her patrons. She realized her error and immediately walked off. What's most disappointing is at no point the rest of the evening did she a) come back over to say I hope you enjoyed your dinner or b) I'd like to offer coffee etc... Not dissatisfied with the meal, the server or hostess but the Mgr/owner needs a lesson on customer service. Perhaps the 4% Covid charge can pay for a seminar. read more

We had a difficult experience here. It took 50 minutes for a simple pasta and seafood dish to come out and that was all we ordered besides drinks. The pasta dish had very little meat sauce on it and the seafood dish was bland. The vegetables which they forgot to bring out were cold in the center.
