I can't believe I hadn't made a review on this yet. I've been several times and haven't had a single complaint yet. It's on par with every other Thai place I've gone to, which I usually judge based upon their Pad Thai, a staple for any Thai place. It's a nice hole in the wall, nothing very fancy. The woman who works there is really sweet, calls everyone "honey". They usually have the TV on in the corner. Some people may be bothered by it, but I don't mind. On a past visit with Cathy for dinner, we were the only patrons, and one of the relatives, perhaps a daughter or niece, was watching Tom and Jerry. They were going to change the channel for us, but we were like "No, really, that's fine." and were able to catch some laughs while we were watching some classic Tom and Jerry episodes during dinner. Today, I tried the Spicy Chicken with Mint. If you enjoy spicy food, I definitely suggest trying this. It's not insanely spicy, but it's one of those slowly growing burns. And in this dish, the spiciness does not replace flavor. It was very flavorful, and the remaining sauce was poured over my rice so I could enjoy every bit of it. read more

Dinner here - usually a good sign when there are lots of folks at a restaurant, and there was not an empty seat in the house during dinner hour Friday night. We had a simple selection - a vegetable soup which we asked to be served totally vegetarian (sans the chicken which normally comes with it) - tasty broth. Also had the Vegetarian Pad Thai - both of these dished filled up the two of us who stopped in for dinner. Decent enough. The size of the clientele seemed a bit much for the amount of floor staff on hand who were dealing with serving customers, both seated as well as several who were coming in for pick up orders. Not a stand out place that will end up on a foodies top spot list, but for local Thai food, this is an ok option if you find yourself around the middle part of Simi Valley. read more

Four stars for the food; another for the service. I have never been the biggest fan of Thai food, but I am now. My girlfriend got the Pad Thai Noodles w/ Chicken and it was sweet and delicious. For myself, I had the Pineapple Fried Rice and it was the best fried rice I've had anywhere. Mixed with curry powder, it gave the dish a very unique and interesting flavor. I finished every bite -- which was A LOT. As everyone else has said on here, the owner is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. Sometimes the best restaurants are the hole-in-the-wall restaurants like this one. The staff is very friendly and quick service. We had delicious food served hot and I enjoyed everything we ate tonight. Definitely get the curry, egg rolls and mango salad. We ordered everything medium heat and it was a perfect amount of spice. Ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and beef.....SO good! The sweet sauce is just as it should be. To me that is what makes this dish authentic. If the sauce is not sweet it's not right! Food: I've tried 4 different thai restaurants in Simi. This place of the 4 has the best curry flavor and sauce(not to watery/thin). I've always ordered both yellow and green curry and both have too much sauce. Need to add more ingredients like meat and veges to get at least 2 proper servings. Inside: Very small but fairly clean. Restrooms definitely need work. Service: Very friendly staff. Dine-in can be a wait even if there are only 2 tables. We happened to be in the area and wanted Thai food. We were turned away from a different place at 7:45pm on a Friday. We Yelped and found this place. What a pleasant surprise! The spicy noodles and red curry were excellent and the prices more affordable than our usual place near home. The owner/waitress, Bea, is the nicest lady I've ever met. She calls everyone "hunee" and "mommy" or "daddy" and truly wants to make you happy. Yes the place is small and is "no frills" so to speak but the food is very good and service even better. I've been to this restaurant around three times with my family and the experience was always good. The restaurant is a hole-in-a-wall type, very small but the aura was accommodating, wall decors doesn't look cheap and are actually a nice touch to the dining area. Staff is very nice, the waitress checks on you often and she takes flexible orders should you want a customized dish. At first, I tried their Rad Na 'cause that's what I always get in another Thai restaurant. Theirs was soupy, portions of beef and broccoli were balanced but the sauce was a bit salty. However, you can forego all that with their excellent flat noodles. I haven't had this kind of slippery, slightly thick noodles anywhere else. You'd normally be able to eat this kind at a fancy Chinese restaurant instead with an order of Ho Fan. For other usual dishes we eat there, Dad orders Tom Ka Khai, excellent soup but I just personally can't eat coconut dishes, and custom Red and Yellow Panang Curry, mild with generous amount of ingredients and custom-added green peas, which he always is pleased with. Mom orders either Pad Thai or Pad See Yew (Yu/U), both flavorful and served piping hot. Then my sister orders Pineapple Fried rice, rich blend of ingredients, the pineapple bringing all of it together with a pinch of sweet and sour - it's one of my favorite dishes so far. Lately, I've also discovered a hidden gem in their menu. It's called Kai Khua, a flat rice noodle laden with bean sprouts, spring onions, chicken and egg in a pan-fried style. This is completely noodle bliss. Very reminiscent of the chinese Ho Fan, only better with their rice noodle. I'd definitely suggest this one. The price range of Simi Thai is generally $8-12, not very expensive and very affordable for quality dishes. If I may add, give the Thai Iced Tea a go. For $3 a glass with easy ice, it's definitely worth the buy. Service: 4 stars (Slow sometimes with 10-20 minute wait but food is always served hot, staff is genuinely nice) Food: 5 stars (Chef makes great dishes, able to accept custom orders, authentic Thai food) Price: 4 stars (Affordable price for great food) Overall: 4.5 (Definitely worth the long wait and buy) Will I go here again? Ordered take out and it was ready by the time I got there (about 10 minutes) The Pad Thai could have had a little more spice, but I'm sure that can be fixed upon request. Other than the spice factor, the dish was delicious. The Thai tea is refreshing and satisfying. The owner is so sweet and amiable. She wrapped up the food very nicely to ensure no spills. To be honest I've been living in Simi Valley for less than two months, but I've already forgotten how many times my husband and I have come here to eat, we both love it! Tonight we had the fresh salad rolls with with peanut sauce, they were great, however they'd be even better with shrimp instead of tofu. I ordered the Masaman curry, which is a brown curry with potato, peanut and coconut milk, and one of my favorites, but because it has peanut in it it's also more oily. My husband ordered pad Thai and fried rice, which he would recommend to order it during their lunch hour because it comes with wontons and rice. read more

It's probably the most delicious, quick delivery in Simi Valley. The location itself is in the back of a parking lot and difficult to find, but it's worth it. Delivery seems to be about 20-30 minutes plus however far away you are with stellar consistency, and the food is always fresh. The food itself is delicious. I am a particular fan of the Panang curry, the spicy noodles, the chow mein, and the crab-cheese wontons, but I've had almost everything on the menu and nothing disappoints. I could go on, but why? Really good, not to say it didn't pay off a few days later. Would go again on the account of the toilet experience. Didn't read much of the reviews, but the general rating is pretty accurate. Very good if you know what you looking for. But if your new to the Thai menu, then you may want think for a while. 1 thing I may add, which refers to my last sentence is that there's a ton of things on the menu. If I remember there was about 80-90-100-ish items. Not to say that having a big menu is bad, just its kind of stressful once you've had a good meal but you realize that there was so much more and probably better things on the menu than what you bought. Highlights about the food/restaurant here: so tasty, food remains hot and feels like we are at the restaurant and tastes like it literally walked out of the kitchen and jumped into our house, and kind service. Hey "honey"! Simi Thai Cuisine is by far one of the best thai food places in Ventura county. Bea, the woman who owns the restaurant is an absolute sweetheart and will remember you after your very first visit. The tofu pad thai is super delicious. And don't forget sticky rice with mangoes and coconut milk for desert. Plus, the best part is that this place is pretty inexpensive. Even with the incredible, cheap food, the restaurant is hardly ever crowded. Finding it can be a challenge though. It's kind of in the back of a deserted strip mall. I have been a few times since and am now on the bandwagon. Price, quantity and flavor all good since we've been getting different dishes. Perhaps it's because I have been eating in the restaurant instead of to-go or because I just don't get curry anymore. I have enjoyed every meal since. Not only is this my favorite Thai place in town but it's the best Thai food I've ever had. It's small inside and a little hidden away but it's a gem. The service is always outstanding. Sometimes they get very busy and it takes a little bit to get your food but it is worth the wait. I don't mind waiting as I'm happy when they get a lot of business. We always get the crab wantons as an appetizer and the mango sticky rice is highly recommended for dessert! Everything we've had on the menu has been great but we don't typically go off our usuals which is the green curry (the best green curry ever!) and any of the pan-friend noodle dishes. We decided to try this place 1. because they deliver (and it was way too hot) and 2. because we're getting tired of the other thai place we had been ordering from. I was a little worried about the delivery time per other reviews but hey I was feeling really lazy! :) After a very painful 10 minutes trying to get the lady on the phone to understand that my street name is Fig not Sig, or Siger or Sit (spelled it, described the fruit etc.) we ordered our food. The good news is we ordered around 5:15, thinking that if they were late it wouldn't that big of a deal, however they came about 20 minutes later! hahahaha The gentleman that came to the door was very nice and our food was piping hot. I ordered the beef salad and Tom Kha Chicken soup. The beef salad wasn't as flavorful as I've had from other Thai places but it wasn't bad, and the coconut soup was delicious. My husband and son ordered the mongolian beef and orange chicken and they really liked both. We also got the shrimp suits, which was a waste. They tasted like fried wonton, nothing special!
