They helped me deal with my claustrophobia & slowly walked me through the whole process. I scheduled my work appoints and a babysitter for the children around these appointment times. I paid a sitter only for me to not get my MRI at the scheduled appt time! i would give zero if i could. for my mammogram i sat in the parking lot trying to check in on the phone/internet as they said i should do. it never worked and when i finally walked in and went to my exam the rad tech told me that often does not work. my doctor sent me for an mri and ultrasound here. i scheduled it by phone after having trouble with chat online. i gave all my insurance information and got an appointment for both procedures. i called the day of my exam because i had confusion related to there being two offices on greenfield and i wanted to go to the right one. the person told me my mri was canceled and needed to be rescheduled as they were waiting for insurance authorization. they had not contacted me about it. she said i can still come in for the ultrasound as it did not need authorization. however, she did not see me in their schedule anywhere for the ultrasound. it was rescheduled for today. when i went in today, i was told they are not contracted with my insurance. this is totally unacceptable! they had all my insurance information when my appointment was scheduled. never going to simon med again! read more

I saw other reviews that stated this place was a cattle call. They are spot on. With an over crowded waiting room, it felt like the DMV, except at the DMV there is a place to sit. And as another reviewer pointed out. what's with the weird hutch in the entry way anyway? Though I made an appointment, it was lost and I was told that I would be treated as a walk in. However, the Dr. I had the appointment, had me on his list. The girls at the desk were rude and not professional all the way from their attitudes to dress. Well, I survived the appointment only to be left with billing issues. If they would like to be paid, perhaps they should have entered in a correct address. STAY AWAY! I would never use SimonMed again. I booked an MRI for last Sunday. They told me to arrive 30 minutes prior to my appointment time. When I arrived the waiting room was empty, but I still had not been called, even 30 minutes after my appointment time. Finally, after 45 minutes of waiting in a nearly empty waiting room, I was called. The man spoke very little English and when he brought me to the room, it was filthy. He made me lie down on a pillows and blankets that were sitting on the FLOOR. When I questioned him about the filth, he covered them with paper. The headphones he gave me weren't clean either. I left feeling disgusted. I have a newborn baby at home, and I don't want to bring home germs. I really question whether or not my MRI was done correctly because he really didn't seem to know what he was doing. I would never go back to this location, especially not on a Sunday. read more

Front office staff was friendly and efficient. The nurse or tech who took me back and set me up in the machine was nice, but not at all helpful in preparing me for the experience. This would have helped: "The machine is going to make a lot of weird, loud noises. The best thing you can do is relax, close your eyes, and make sure your earplugs are in firmly." Just a little tip like that. Also helpful would be some attempt to make me comfortable with pillows, blanket, etc - I had to ask. The whole thing felt rushed. Luckily I'm not claustrophobic or anxious or it could have been a nightmare. So much depends on a little chat from the tech explaining what's coming up. read more

I have taken my roomate to the Greenfield location for two MRIs... this is the SLOWEST medical imaging office ever. They tell you to come a half hour early for your appointment and then you still have to wait HOURS! SO SLOW! Don't go here if you're in a hurry.... urgency is not this office's strength! read more

unbelievable! I went here for an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound ordered by my oby/gyno to confirm a PCOS diagnosis as my husband and I had been trying for over a year to get pregnant with no luck. When I arrived I did the paperwork and sat in the over-crowded waiting room to be called back. My husband was meeting me there as well. I got called back before he got there. I asked the lady at the front to send my husband back once he arrived. Well the front desk called back to the room I was in and the technician answered the phone and her response was something like "yea,. yea, she wants her husband here, I don't UNDERSTAND why" and then hung up the phone. It took pretty much all I had to keep myself from screaming at this woman. I wish I could have calmed myself enough to get her name. How effing rude! She had NOOOOOO clue what I had been through medically not to mention the trying to conceive part of my medical history. How dare you say you "don't understand why" I'm pretty sure it's none of your damn business and if someone ANYONE comes into your establishment requiring spousal emotional support don't question them! I'll NEVER use this facility again. Thankfully we've moved on to an RE who actually performs all my testing in his office and with his own hands. read more

Then they messed up my mammogram and want me to come back, pay them again, and have it repeated. Could be because they rushed through it? Even I could tell the position did not seem right and I was hardly in the machine at all but the tech said it was fine. My doctors office even commented when that it looked like the mammogram was just poor quality. The whole staff was very friendly & made the experience comfortable for someone with anxiety & cloister phobia. It took exactly the amount of time they originally told me & because they got me in early, I had more time after the procedure to get things done in town. After having my appoint at 1425 S. Greenfield cancelled twice, because the bone density machine was "down", I was re-assigned to the office on 63rd St. in Mesa. After sitting in the lobby for an hour..yes, an hour, I was told: 1. They did not have the equipment necessary to do my mammography (diagnostic ultrasound) and 2. I would have to wait another hour for a bone density test because one of the techs was leaving early. I was irritated. I left and said I would go elsewhere. My doctor wrote the order on Simon Med letterhead, but I will go elsewhere. Simon Med makes big $$$ off of the patients and insurance company and needs to remember that we are paying customers. I was referred for an MRI of my shoulder which was injured. My initial appointment was canceled by them, because they did not get pre-certification from my insurance co. They said they would call me as soon as they got the ok from insurance which was Aetna. That was July 21st. Now it is Aug. 1st and NO CALL. I checked with Aetna and it was approved on July 21st. I guess they are just too busy to handle everyone. I will not go there. I am a physician. read more

I had an appointment with a different Dr. who asked me to make an appointment here within the week. It turns out that the day after was my only day off work and the receptionist for SimonMed was very helpful at getting me scheduled for a time that worked for me! Once I got to my appointment, I had a short wait time even though the waiting room was packed. When I originally booked my appointment, the receptionist said my insurance would cover it but that didn't end up being the case. My day took a big down turn. Then my technician lacked any sort of emotion, was completely straight-faced even though I'm a young college student who would've appreciated a little more compassion for this kind of thing. She left me confused about what my next steps were. It seemed as if she was trying to make the appointment fast and talk to me as little as possible. I was in and out of that place in a snap, which may be good in some cases, but made me feel like just another cog in the machine. 2.5 stars, but I'll round up in the hopes I actually get my results tomorrow read more

I was not able to get the MRIs that I needed due to not having my entire deductible ($500) to give them at the time of the appt. Every time I called, I was given different information on what they needed to be able to take me. First they said they can verify FSA, then they said I can get something from my HR verifying FSA. Then they said nope, you need the card. (3 different people, 3 different calls) If they can't communicate with each other on what is needed, do I really trust them to communicate with me and my doctor after the MRI? Wasted 3 weeks talking to this group. I should have picked another imaging center from the beginning. read more

I'm really surprised by the low scores as I had such a great experience. I went to the office on Greenfield twice - first for a mammogram and the second for additional mammogram shots and a breast ultrasound. This was my first time having such a tests. I never waited long, the staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was thoroughly explained to me. read more

If I could give ZERO stars if I could! There were only two good things about my experience yesterday. The ladies at the front desk were kind & patient & the imaging quality (according to my surgeon) are far above any other imaging facilities. The fact that they run behind should be addressed & changed/handled immediately. Obviously their current operating procedures DO NOT work. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 with a check-in time 15 minutes prior (why? When you have to sit & wait THREE HOURS)? What's the point of getting there on time to check in when all you do is sit & wait? When I asked how much longer I'd be there (multiple times I was told several different things), they said my appointment was actually at 5:00. That's funny because I have a saved voicemail that specifically says 4:30! Well....wait & wait some more. I've been to the Dobson Simon Med multiple times & this is a "company issue" not just an individual facility, issue. (And the Dobson gals are completely RUDE & non-apologetic whatsoever). I've probably wasted 15-20 hours in the last year for (4) visits for X-rays & MRI's WAITING on imaging to be done. I'd much rather spend my time doing something else but since I'm someone who has chronic pain & just want to be healed, I've had no choice but to wait to get the scans done. How about I propose a solution? You know when scheduling the scans what they are & the length of time they will take. How about if a patient runs 15 minutes late (which of course would push everyone else who has appointments after them), then you reschedule their imaging? Yes, life happens & accidents happen, but whatever happened to treating people with decency & respecting their time? Sitting on those seats that are like sitting on concrete for 3 hours isn't ideal for someone who is need of low back fusion surgery. It's a shame there is NOTHING done to resolve the wait times. Multiple people left in the waiting room the 3 hours I was there yet it didn't speed up getting my scan done any sooner. And shall I go on about the horrible billing services also? They charged me up front with PPO insurance, $400.00 for an MRI & set of X-rays. (My fault for not checking what my coverage included, which was a $30.00 co-pay PERIOD for imaging). They claim they have to bill through Blue Shield Blue Cross of Arizona (which is false), but my policy is through BSBC of Illinois. After receiving the EOB, I noticed I only owed $30.00. I contacted Simon Med billing & after 4 months, many different representatives & supervisors, I received the reimbursement! If after this last MRI & if surgery fixes it, I hope to NEVER step foot in another Simon Med! Avoid this place at all costs, if at all possible, unless you have hours of your life to waste! read more

This is a horrible place. I had an appointment at 2PM with a check in time of 1:30PM. I arrived at my scheduled check in time and completed the required paperwork. I then sat in the waiting room until 2:30PM, now we're 30 minutes past the appointment time. I went to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be and the extremely rude office girls proceeded to say that they didn't know. One of the girls said to call the MRI person and the other girl replies while rolling her eyes that she doesn't know her extension. They managed to find the extension and of course they didn't answer. I was then advised that there was still another person ahead of me and it would be at least another hour!!!!! What the heck is the point of making an appointment???????? I then said forget it and I was asked if I wanted to reschedule. I advised that I absolutely do not want to reschedule and will take my business elsewhere! I suggest that everyone does this. This place does not care about their patients. It is extremely painful for me to sit long periods of time and they could have cared less. They did not care about the time that I wasted either. read more

Scheduling called my insurance multiple times to assure me the price I was paying was accurate. They insisted I would pay no more. Well now the price was doubled after my MRI! So don't let the posts from Simon Med fool you. It takes no more time to do something right than to do it wrong. I did receive a call from someone at SimonMed who gave me an "expediated refund". It took only about 5 days. But considering it took over 4 months for that to happen I am still not particularly happy with these folks. I still can't figure out why a regular refund would take 4 to 6 weeks. read more

I just went in for my 20 week ultrasound. I went to check in (at the Greenfield/Guadalupe office where I called and scheduled my appointment) and they told me I was scheduled at the Mesa Fiesta location. I called there and they told me I am scheduled at Greenfield/Guadalupe, then when I told them they said I wasn't, they said I was scheduled at Mesa Greenfield. I finally make it there and the waiting room is so full some people had to stand. The ultrasound tech was completely mechanical and had no bedside manner. The screen is tiny and was pointed away so I couldn't see anything very well. When we asked about the gender she said "Looks like a girl" and wrote GENDER on the picture. We didn't receive a DVD of the ultrasound like we have with other places, so that's a huge bummer. It was a horrible ultrasound experience. :( read more

Other people were going back that were there for the same issue of a different color that came in after him. There were two ladies at the front desk. One was just talking looked like she was on break. Turns out that is the tech that did his test. We as a family have gone to Simon Med for years...I have gone for my mammos. But no more. Arrived with orders for an Xray yesterday, and checked in at front desk. After checking in, receptionist informed me there was a 45-60 Min wait, and I was free to leave and return within an hour. Apparently, while I was away, my name was called. After checking back in at front desk, 15 mins later a X-Ray Tech name Michelle came out and called my name. I asked if she called my name, and she ignored me, called two other names, and escorted that person to the back. Finally, my name was called and the same Tech Michelle escorted me to XRay area. Upon entering the XRay room, Michelle was rude, and I literally told her that she ignored me earlier- her response was she didn't understand me. Tech Michelle instructed me to remove my bra(in the XRay Room), and proceeded to take X-Rays of my chest. At the end of the X-Ray, Tech Michelle instructed me to get dressed in a X-Ray Room. I have completed Mammograms, and know that policy is a patient is given a private dressing room-I am still recovering from the lack of respect, no ounce of dignity was given, and I felt like a piece of meat. If I had an opportunity to give Zero Stars, I would. The only recourse is that Simon Med Corporate, agreed to look into matter. I will absolutely NEVER go back to this location. read more

Second here for tests. They tell you to be on time. I was fifteen minutes early and have been waiting for an hour so far. Still haven't been seen. Does your business not realize that my time is important too. Would you like to pay me my hours wages for sitting here !!!!!! I do have a life and other obligations. If you tell me my appointment is at a certain time and I am an hour late in sure I would have to reschedule and pay for a missed appointment. My review concerns the Billing dept and not the tech who was AMAZING! I went to the Chandler location, and got a mammogram per my OBGYN request. Before I made the apt I asked them if they were taking my insurance, they said yes; the day of my appt, they also took a pic of my insurance card; 3 weeks later I get a bill of $595.00 saying that my insurance denied their claim; I log in my insurance system, I see absolutely no claim submitted by Simon Med. I call Simon med and asked them what happened, they said they did not have the correct information on file. I give them the info AGAIN, they finally submit the claim which gets paid in full by my insurance a week later. Seriously, how is this possible?! read more

After paying this facility $860 for MRI (deductible) in cash they billed insurance too late so they ended owing us $654.82 overpayment called on 9/27 to request refund was told that they would send out Friday fast forward three weeks called to inquire status and was told that this was applied to a credit card the day after we spoke on the phone wasn't me calling them they gave me money to someone else I paid cash now I have to wait an additional 30 days for them to complete their investigation and then consider giving me my cash back they wouldn't let us use the bathroom till we paid them and then they don't bill in time and gave my money to someone else this place stinks and I will never use them for any imaging ever. How do you get an appointment with them, I have been on the phone twenty minutes listening to them say how great they are, then hire someone to take your phone calls! Someone finally answered and then hung up on me. I am so unimpressed! Customer Service begins when I pick up the phone to call you! Too bad we can't make an appointment on line.. I will not be returning here ever again. I had an ultrasound done, something that is usually supposed to be the happiest moment for any pregnant woman. Well what I got out of it is "I see nothing but an empty sac" which I left hurting not knowing what is happening , still not knowing. I have to wait to see my doctor a week and half with just knowing the tech says all I have is an empty sac. read more
