Beware of constant bills from them. My insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield paid the allowed amount and they have continued to send bills to get money out of me. It has been over a year since my mammogram and they are still sending bills. Even after I spoke with the accounting department and had a 3 way call with my insurance company. They are now sending bills for a different amount. I had a basic mammogram which my insurance covers. They have a horrible billing/accounting department that can't seem to get their records straight. Makes me wonder how accurate their procedures really are. Don't go here!!!! What a complete mess and hassle they are...wasting my time. On, May 1st, I had the worst experience ever going in to this medical imaging office. My appointment was set up yesterday by phone, and they could not complete my appointment until I called back with my insurance info. Finally at 4 :00 pm I called back with my insurance information and my appointment was today at 7:30 am at this location in Mesa. As soon as I walked in, with my 9 year old daugther, who needed an abdominal ultrasound, had fever and in pain - the girls at the front desk told me I was in the wrong location, and sent me to the one in Gilbert. My husband and I desperate to get there on time with my daughter left to the location indicated, and as soon we got there, they sent us back to the 1425 S greenfield - because that is the place we had the appointment. Our appointment was at 7:30 am, we had an email confirmation, but the imcompetent at the front desk could not find appointment, not insurance information. Finally they took my daughter in at 8:05. Treated my 9 year old poorly and with not compassion at all. And never sent the results today to my pediatric doctor. I will not recommend this place to anybody and try to avoid it at all cost... poor customer services, imcompetent and not very friendly employers there... Sorry, run away from this place. read more

Yesterday went online to schedule mammo. Scheduled for 9/20 at 8:15 am and when done the message displayed stated someone from Simon Med would call to confirm. This afternoon I still had not had a call from anyone so I called : 480-324-8033 and was unfortunate enough to speak to ANGELICA. This girl has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. She told me the reason it "canceled" was because they did not have an appt available for that day and time.hmmmmmm so why didn't they call me? I asked here at this time if this call is recorded to which she replied, "ummm yes", I said good. I said the confirmation that I received did not say it was canceled so she exhales very loudly and says "oh, I looked at the wrong box, we do have an appointment for that day and time" and I said I would take it. She then asked me if my information was the same. "Yes", I said. "Who is your dr. ordering, I say " Dr. Hoag"., she says "ok" then she says is my number blah blah blah and I said "yes but you did not repeat the area code which is out of state" so she laughs under her breath and muttered something that I took as derogatory. At this point I have NO CONFIDENCE IN THIS GIRLS ABILITY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME. I ask her if all the numbers listed online go to one call center and she says she doesn't know, and puts me on hold.....for 12 minutes! UNACCEPTABLE - I believe she was hoping that I would hang up. When all was said and done and she confirmed my appt I asked her for her supervisors name. She said "my supervisor??" I said yes, she hesitates quite a awhile and softly says, "maria" - i asked for Maria's last name and she refused to provide it so I asked for Maria's supervisor which after a time she told me, Mariah.........This girl took 20 minutes to process my appointment, with an attitude. I am so tired of employees of Simon Med acting like they are doing me a favor!!! Just look at the reviews on this page, apparently a lot of other people are not happy either. ANGELICA was rude, curt, unapologetic, immature, and definitely not detailed. I HOPE ASSURED IMAGING OPENS AN OFFICE IN THIS AREA BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME AND WOULD BE PACKED WITH APPTS. RUN FAR FROM SIMON MED - ANGELICA IS A REFLECTION OF JUST HOW MUCH THEY DON'T CARE. In her defense she probably only makes $12 bucks an hour which is hardly living wages but it's still her job to be nice!! read more

They were nice enough at the office, but when I received my bill is where they suck. I received one notice for my portion due of $27.05. I proceeded to mail out the bill 2 days later. First notice I received was dated 6/30/2011 which I received on 7/5/11. Then on 7/9/11 I receive a "Final Notice" bill that says the charges are seriously past due and the will refer me to collections if not paid within 7 days! Total BS! They are busting my balls for bill of $27.05 saying I'm past due when I only received 1 bill then a 2nd bill a week later. Pull your head out! read more

Had an ultrasound at the bay wood location and it was terrible, we were rushed through like we were at a fast food joint and my wife couldn't even see her baby and the screen, The tech was like a drone and doesn't realize that pregnancy is an exciting time and seeing your unborn child is part of the experience. We will never be back to Simon med, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! read more

Today I waited for 50 minutes for my appointment. No one would explain why they scheduled me for 8:30 and still had not been called back for a lab appointment at 9:20. I left. Wasted time, wasted gas, unhelpful staff!!! read more

This is the absolute worst case of medical service for the patient--the billing is the worst. The time I entered the office area was nothing more than chaos with one gentleman on the phone to a manager complaining of the chaos, lack of service and organization. It looked like a scene out of a movie--I looked for Bill Murray to come around the corner in a white smock. When my name was finally called--the nurse told me that the machine was set up for another patient--however I was lucky that the patient was having the same procedure done and that I wouldn't have to reschedule. I'm still being double billed for the same procedure--I alerted my provider and attorney. read more

Went in at 1:15 for a 45 minute check in. I was supposed to drink a solution and let it work its way through my system, thus the 45 minute check in. The receptionist said the computer told her I would have to pay around $650 but she was going to call my insurance to verify. Shouldn't this have been done and communicated to me prior to my showing up? At 2:00 she called me back in and said it would indeed cost $650. I told her I was not able to pay that and left. Before I even got to my car I changed my mind and decided I would use my health savings account to pay. It had been less that 2 minutes when I returned. The receptionist now said that since it was 2:00 appointment time and I had not started the drink I would have to reschedule. By the way I had been fasting for this appointment and because they took so much time to do what should have been done before I ever got there they decided I would have to reschedule. Why is it so hard to get people with some remedial common sense and good manners. They should have figured out how to shuffle me in after I showed up on time and prepared. I took time off work, fasted, showed up on time, etc. maybe I was too nice as I generally do not want to cause a scene but you should not have to do that. I guess I will go to EVDI now and hope that they give a crap about their customers. Ridiculous! The one star was a mistake and remains because I can't figure out how to remove it. read more

I attempted to have an x-ray done at your Dobson Village I location on 10/1/16 as Simonmed.com continues to this facility as being open for x-rays on Saturday. However, upon arriving, the location was closed. To be sure, I walked over to your Dobson Village II at which time a SimonMed associate confirmed that Dobson Village I was no longer open on Saturdays and hadn't been for a number of months. The associate then referred me this Greenfield location which I promptly drove to after leaving Dobson Village. Upon check-in at Greenfield, I was advised that the wait time for an x-ray was two hours, at which point I stated that I wasn't willing to wait. I then asked to speak with a manager but was told managers don't work on weekends. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I have had many imaging studies done at various SimonMed locations over the last few years and used to be quite happy with the service. More recently however, I've grown quite disgusted with what SimonMed has evolved into as they simply don't care about their customers. My opinion is based not only on this recent experience but a prior one as well. In March, 2016, I visited this same Greenfield location for a CT scan. The tech called me in and advised me of the specific CT scan I was to have done. I advised the tech that something didn't sound correct, however they insisted they were right. I later found out that the tech did the incorrect CT scan and I was forced to return at a later date. I subsequently filed a complaint with SimonMed but getting them to follow-up with me was not easy. In the end, they offered me an insincere apology, forgave my co-insurance balance due of approximately $8 and they mailed me a $10 QT gas card. Despite what anyone at SimonMed says, they have one focus, which is to be the largest provider in the area. It's quite clear that the SimonMed patient experience is not at all a priority for management. A more accurate assessment might be that SimonMed views their patients as an inconvenience. As they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times, didn't happen, I ended up going to EVDI to get my x-ray done. read more

Lots to say, I have been going to SimonMed for many years, the service has gone so far down hill. First I had to pay over the phone my deductible/or have payment at the time of service, ok no problem. The day of my appointment, I was in the waiting room, no one but me, I still waited 15 minutes while 4 staff members chatted about personal things, yes, I could hear them. No one explained the process to me, the tech doing the ultra sound literally did not say anything to me except put the roll under your neck and were done. The place was less than clean, actually dirty. Now today I get a text telling me to log-in and pay my bill, a text? Really? I tried logging in, but I need an account number, I don't have an account number, never received an itemized invoice. So I called the billing number, guess what - it's automated and asked me for my account number. Finally I was able to reach a human and he said that I owed much more money that the original amount was an estimate!!!!!!!!! This is my 3rd poor experience at SimonMed, there won't be a 4th. I have had appointments at 3 locations for a total of 16 visits. read more

I'm only giving this one star because I didn't have the option to choose zero stars. I had a 7:30am appointment for an abdominal ultrasound. I checked in and was told that the visit would be $141, which surprised me because when I called to ask about cost, they said that it would be billed to my insurance. Ok, so I paid it and proceeded to wait for another 30 mins to be taken back. I can't imagine what the wait time is for later appointments!!! Fast forward 2 weeks and my doctor wants me to have a CT scan. So I call my insurance to find out what the out of pocket cost would be for the scan and low and behold the insurance has paid for my previous appointment in full!! When I called to get my refund I had to jump through tons of hoops to even talk to a live person, then they told me it would be six weeks before I could be refunded the money!!! They were so rude and defensive by the time I got a hold of them. Still haven't recieved my refund and I've spent hours waiting on hold every week to find out the status! Never again..... read more

Although I was a walk in. I was assured that I would not have to wait more than 25-30 minutes. (I have terrible hip pain that worsens with sitting for long periods) I am a person who always gives the benefit of the doubt,and after hearing a male tech ask if there was even a xray tech working that day I waited. After 2hours of sitting I went back up to the desk and I was told that there were still 2 people ahead of me. Funny how it takes 2 hours to xray 3 people. I asked for my $ back and it was like they had never heard of such a thing. Nice for front office staff to sit and tell me that they had a bunch of xrays that day and no on left in the waiting room that had come before me. Especially when I was told only 4 people ahead of me when I arrived and then still 2 people ahead of me. Why lie. Why not just tell a person experiencing such pain to come back when the xray tech was back from lunch!! If I could give negative stars I would as lying to my face when I heard what was being said by staff is just beyond unethical! read more

Very frustrating and bad experience. I won't be going back to Simon med for any future appointments and I'm a referral specialist. They will not be referred to for patients , friends or family. My Doctor said Simon med would call to make my appointment which they did and operator seemed very confused and said she needed to confirm with my doctor and she would call me back by end of day. 2 months went by and I called my doctor when doctor followed up they were told I was suppose to call Simon Med back. Remember I'm In This field and I take very good notes. So I called them back after going through 3 operators that had no idea how to make an appointment and they kept telling me the patient they needed a doctors order. I'm in this field doctors order is not the patients problem it's Simon meds. So I ask to speak to manager operator hung up on me. So called back and got manager she was very sorry and said doctors order had been there entire time. Appointment finally made. Day of appointment arrive 30 min early with only my license and insurance card. Intake said to me I have co pay of $113.00. I said please bill me. She said we cannot it must be paid upon visit or payment plan to be arranged. I ask why was I not called. I do not have any money or my purse with me. I had to call my husband to come and pay my co pay. Intake (She )said notes say they called but your phone number has changed. I ask what phone number do you have. Sure enough it was correct. I ask so why was I not notified of co pay. She said they must have dialed your number wrong. So I'm here with no way of paying and she's telling me Simon Med dialed my number wrong. Never once apologizing. I'm very disappointed and cannot imagine how they stay in business. As I read the reviews they are not good. Keep in mind where you decide to do business is your choice in the medical field. Doctors office will give you as a patient a choice. Think twice before using this company. read more

I had an appointment back in Feb., and although it turned out to be one of the worst experiences in a medical facility I have ever had, I chose not to write a review. However, since I now have an issue with the billing department, I feel it necessary to inform others on what to expect from this joint. First of all, I arrived 15 minutes BEFORE my appointment and before anyone else in the morning. After waiting for 45 minutes, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be before I would be seen. (At least six other patients had already been taken back). She said probably another 15 minutes. Another 45 minutes goes by and I have decided to reschedule. The receptionist says that someone would be right out to get me, telling me that an employee hadn't shown up for work was one of the reasons they were so far behind. Finally, after two hours I am taken back for my scan. The gal performing the procedure was very kind, but obviously distraught and flustered. Prior to having the procedure done, I made arrangements with the same receptionist, who had to go back and get approval from someone else, that I make monthly payments on my deductible. I made a payment that day, and made monthly payments thereafter. I missed one payment in June due to being out of town for a family emergency, but have sent in a payment for all the other months. SIMONMED has now turned me over to their collection department, and if you truly want to deal with rude and unprofessional people, trying talking to THEM! This entire experience with SIMONMED has been a nightmare, and I do not recommend wasting your time with them. read more

DOS 3-22-14 The technician doing my MRI was rude and did not explain what I could expect. The MRI took about 40 minutes and I was enclosed in a cylinder like machine and very uncomfortable. He put head phones on me and asked what kind of music I liked. I said classical or soft rock. What I got was hillbilly country. He said he programmed it for seniors. The MRI machine was dirty and worn. I later went back for a copy of the CD to take to my doctor. They only would give me a written report. My doctor asked for the actual CD image so I called medical records. The girl said she would put it in the mail tomorrow night. I asked it she could send it priority mail to get it to my doctor faster and she repeated, "it will go out in tomorrow night's mail." When I gave her the name of the hospital to send the CD which was Christ Hospital said, "how do you spell Christ?" I told her I was in extreme pain waiting for my doctor to get the CD. She obviously didn't care. When my doctor finally got the CD the image was so poor that he had me to have another MRI of the hip at a different imaging lab. I feel I had unnecessary delays in my treatment due to the unqualified and uncaring workers at Simon Med Imagine on Greenfield Road, Mesa. I would highly recommend anyone going to a different facility for their tests. read more

Went in for an MRI of my shoulder. The tech began asking some questions in a non formal way while setting up the MRI. When I got back the MRI results report, under the section of Clinical History, there was a inaccurate statement of "Rock Climber". I called them back and asked where did you get this info...they said I supplied the info verbally. I told them that statement is completely false and want it corrected...there is a big difference between "rock climber" and "hiker". They said they could not change the report at all!! I told them that they have a responsibility to record what i say accurately and not just state an assumption. They would not budge. How can they get away with putting down false or inaccurate information and then not correcting it when the patient points it out to them. Clinical History needs to come from the referring physician NOT from a causal conversation with the a technician while setting up the imaging procedure. Any misinformation on such a report travels to many agencies/employers including medical insurance providers and life insurances...yes you consented to that on the initial forms you filled out. From now on I will not say a word...if they need a clinical history, they can obtain it from my physician. And I will be filling a formal complaint with the Arizona Medical Board. read more
