Well... definitely not my favorite boba place. Extremely limited dairy alternatives (if at all). When asking, the girl at the front could not provide any detail other than "our teas are premade with non-dairy creamer", so long story short, you can't customize your drink. She couldn't tell us what the creamer base was made out of if it wasn't dairy, just really bizarre. Got a smoothie and it separated quicker than I would have liked. Generally avoid, there's other boba places around to try. read more

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm addicted to boba. I've been to this one SO MANY TIMES, at least once a week lol.... This boba shop is super close to our place...so it's just super convenient. My fave is no sugar jasmine milk tea with their golden boba. I love boba place that also sells food. So far, I had Hawaiian noodles, dumplings, shumai, beignets but my fave would be the Korean hot dog!! It's crispy on the outside but chewy and cheesy inside. ...I highly recommend! read more

My review is based on the honey milk tea. It's unique they only coat the sides of the cup with honey (see picture) while the milk tea is unsweetened. Therefore, I had to wait a while for the honey to sink the bottom of the cup before I could stir it in. I probably wouldn't get it again because I don't like waiting 30+ minutes for the honey to sink so I can mix the drink. I do think the inside is really aesthetic with the lights and flowers! It would be a nice place to study or work! read more

It was my first time visiting this location and I was genuinely looking forward to trying something new. I asked the cashier, Lee (working at 5 PM), for some recommendations, and she mentioned a few drinks -- one being their banana cream matcha latte. I requested the matcha latte without the banana cream, thinking I'd be getting a standard matcha latte. When I received my drink just a couple of minutes later, I was surprised by how off it tasted. It was overwhelmingly milk -- to the point where it had zero matcha flavor. It seemed like maybe a tiny speck of matcha was added just to tint the color. I even stirred it thoroughly for a few minutes thinking it just wasn't mixed well, but the flavor never changed. I politely let Lee know the drink only tasted like milk and asked if this was how they typically make their matcha lattes. Her response was blunt and dismissive: "Yes, that's our matcha latte." The tone was unnecessarily rude and made me feel like I was being difficult for simply pointing out a very valid concern. She later offered to remake it, but at that point I had lost confidence in both the product and the service. Unfortunately, I walked out and ended up tossing the drink. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing on all fronts -- poor product quality and unprofessional customer service. Note to future customers: If you're expecting a real matcha latte with actual matcha flavor, I would steer clear of their matcha offerings. read more

I love crème brûlée anything and their brown sugar crème brûlée milk tea did not disappoint. It tastes just like it! I did ask for sweet but it might be a little too sweet with the syrup sitting on the bottom (but that was my fault). Besides my mistake, the taro one was also really good, it didn't taste powdery like other places make it. read more

Decided to try this place after target, since it was on the same plaza. I got the jasmine milk tea and I did not like it at all. I got it since it's my usual drink at all the boba store and it's a basic milk tea based drink. The drink is very milky which was ok but not my preference. The worst part is the taste of the tea. It has a different funky after taste and doesn't seem like a jasmine green tea. This is my first time not finishing a drink even though it's not good. almost $7 drink down the drain. Also my friend got Hokkaido milk tea and she did not finish it either. She only drank maybe 1/4 and tossed it. I don't recommend their milk tea at all. When I saw people go there they get their smoothie/slush drinks. read more

Thai tea lover here. On a hunt to try them all. Before ordering, I always ask if I can order it no sweet and if they use half and half. I don't like it pre sweet and I don't like powdered creamer. They had what I was looking for. And it was really good! Service here is A1. Good vibes. Cool decor and plenty to choose from. Macrons, finger foods and Korean corn dogs. Definitely coming back. Expensive though. My Thai tea was $6.50. I used a coupon from checking in with yelp. That helped. Keep up the good work. See you guys soon. read more

Cute & clean is how I would describe this new boba place. Situated in a plaza which is anchored by a Northgate Market and a Target, this Asian eatery is a surprise. On the eclectic menu is bulgogi gyoza, fries w/ various dipping sauces, and macarons (lots of other options). I had the classic milk tea with boba. If you like your boba soft & chewy, then you'll like this place. Unfortunately, I prefer mine harder. The milk tea itself was good but not memorable. read more

I came to Simple Boba for the first time this Saturday and unfortunately was disappointed in the lack of quality/taste and expensive pricing in their drink menu. To be frank, I was tempted to walk out when I saw the pricing of the menu and how topping additions were even more expensive. If you are a huge fan of a simple and yet smooth milk tea or brown sugar milk tea like myself, please don't expect the first sip of their Brown Sugar milk tea to be compared to Ding Tea, Tiger Sugar or Half N Half Boba. I would compare the brown sugar milk tea similar to a regular milk tea, except that it still lacked cream/milk and quality of flavor. Each drink being $7.25 is wild to me!! I am thankful we at least received a $4.77 discounted with the Yelp discount. Comparing it again to Ding Tea or Tiger Sugar boba, the size of the drink and quality should not be this high and expensive. I understand prices might be extremely high here due to their rent space or inflation but I've never had a boba anywhere in OC/LA this pricey. I am giving three stars ultimately because the cashier greeted us when we walked in and was friendly and sincere during the payment process. Overall, the shop is clean and welcome to their customers, however I will not be returning due to how expensive and lack of quality the drinks are. If they can make some improvements, I would be happy to try again in the future. read more

I don't even play about this place, it's been the best thing to come to this shopping center, food is fresh, drinks are tasty, staff has always been super sweet kind and helpful. I bought this AMAZING Banana matcha today and let me tell you it's one of the best banana matcha drinks I've had in awhile. It's sweet with just the right amount of banana and matcha making it well balanced. The service was quick and efficient by I think Kaylinh and Lam. I went here on my way home and grabbed a honey milk tea and some popcorn chicken. 1. Honey Milk Tea: The honey milk tea made me mad because the honey was too hard that the flavor didnt mix. I would swallow chunks of honey whole. When eventually the honey and drink mixed, it had a good flavor but the execution of the drink was confusing. 2. Popcorn chicken: I grabbed popcorn chicken and it was PRICY!! I still decided to get and when asking the lady about the spice level she said it wasnt spicy at all. I grabbed spicy and she was LYING. One of my favorite food places honestly. Prices are high, but definitely worth it. My favorite items are the bulgogi gyoza with spicy mayo dip, the brown sugar boba milk tea, the raspberry refresher, the hot cheeto mozzarella corn dog, and so many more!! The whole menu is great to be honest. Also, their macaroons and beignets are so good!! The service is good, they are nice people but it's nothing above and beyond - which is completely cool with me. The setting too, is so beautiful really. One of the prettiest places to eat at. The first time I went here I was in awe looking at all their pretty decor. First time trying this place and it definitely is more than it looks. Both drinks we ordered (ice vanilla latte and blueberry tea) were very good, service was great (girl who took our order was very friendly), the three food/snack items we ordered were both very good and for the price, more than reasonable amidst the inflation prices you'll find at other similar boba places. The squid legs were fried just right and the garlics wings were moist and flavorful. The churros were also pretty good too. Will definitely go back to try other menu items. read more

New boba milk tea place at the Anaheim Square. It's kinda hard to find. It's right next to the Golden Corral on the East side (the side closer to Target). We went there with my nieces & nephews and they all had fun. It is a bit pricier than other boba places so I haven't come back here as much for that reason, but it is very delicious. I got a Yelp discount for a first-time check-in. So if they're still doing that, it's definitely worth it if you want to give this place a try. My baseline for trying a new milk tea place is to try their Vietnamese Iced coffee, so that's what I got and I really loved it! Strong but balanced flavor. read more

Actual rating 3.5 Simple Boba is located in a convenient plaza with plenty of things to do. Parking lot is spacious. The shop itself is cute, a neat place to study at. There are multiple group tables and singular tables. The service is normal, not any stand out and not anything bad. This place has an expansive menu with multiple items, ranging from tea, smoothies, even mojitos. They also have multiple food choices and even bakery goods. I went simple today and got the mango green tea with lychee jelly + crystal boba (half sugar, less ice). I also got the onion ring. Mango green tea : I knew that because all my toppings the drink was going to be painfully sweet, thus, I adjusted. Guess what though? It is still painfully sweet. I went home to readjust and added my own tea to balance it out, but please take note of their sugar level when ordering. I also asked for less ice, but they still added a lot of ice. The drink itself was strong in mango flavor (more on the artificial side), unfortunately there wasn't a strong tea flavor. The drink included mango bits too, but the chunks are too big to go through the straw. Onion Ring: it's mediocre. Nothing too wow-ey, but what can I say onion is onion ring. They were generous with the amount of onion ring. Though, I wished the onion ring batter wasn't so thick as I barely could taste the onion portion. The price is average. You can't really say nothing about prices nowadays as everywhere price has inflated a lot. Total for my order was close to $14. read more

What a cute boba & tea plus food place! I got the iced strawberry green tea with lychee jelly and basil seeds (it also came with little strawberry chunks). It was so refreshing and delicious! I also got three beignets. They were really good but a little greasy. I am for sure coming back! read more

Ive been here about two times or so and I think they are pretty good. I think the only con I can give them is that they are pretty pricey with drinks and food (in particular, their popcorn chicken). I got the mango green tea with mango jelly on my last visit and I thought it was good. I like my drinks sweet so I would recommend lowering the sweetness level if that's not for you. I also got their crispy calamari legs and let me tell you that it is delicious with their simple sauce. The employees are super nice so that's always a plus. read more

The service was really good and i initially went in to use the bathroom but decided that since i was here to try the drink for the first time. I ordered the hokkaido milk tea since im very much into that kind of flavor but after trying it.... The flavor was definitely very different and not in a good way either. I dont like the after taste of the drink and it was a bit too milky for me which i dont like and i have that feeling i want to throw up. read more

My only complaint is that I wish the matcha flavor was a little stronger in both drinks. If you're someone who prefers a more bold, earthy matcha, these lean on the lighter side. That said, they were still enjoyable and easy to drink. The café itself has a cozy, relaxing atmosphere, and the drinks came out quickly. I'd definitely come back and would love to try more of their menu.

The kind of place you can actually settle into for a few hours. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which always sets the right tone. I'll be upfront, I'm no coffee connoisseur, but the latte was good and I'd happily order it again. Overall just a really good vibe. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

SO I looked up other recent yelp reviews, and I saw that someone posted a picture of their drink 17 hours ago and it was still pink. That makes me question what happened to our drinks.

Prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. They are crispy fried on the outside but fluffy and soft on the inside. We always get the Full thread for the four of us and we can't finish, which is rare, we bring it home and air fry any leftovers. With the churros we always buy their dipping sauces and all of them are great. Great churros, ice cream , drinks and drizzles. You can't go wrong! I recently visited this tea bar with my friends after school for the first time last Friday, and it instantly stood out to us as a unique spot in the area. In Anaheim, there aren't many boba places around, so we were excited to find one nearby. What really makes this place special is its wide range of drink and food options. We tried the popcorn milk tea, brown sugar crème brûlée,hokkaido milk tea, Takoyaki, Hawaiian noodles, and popcorn chicken. Everything was incredibly delicious, and we couldn't stop raving about how tasty it all was. The décor was cozy, and the music added a relaxing vibe, making it a perfect spot to hang out. The best part, though, was the exceptional customer service. The staff was friendly, patient, and offered great recommendations, which made the experience even better. HOWEVER, despite all these great things, there was one "MAJOR DOWNSIDE"--the place was EXTREMELY HOT. There was NO AIR CONDITIONING, and it made the entire experience a bit uncomfortable. Even though we wanted to stay longer to enjoy more food and drinks, the heat became UNBEARABLE (especially in this weather), and we had to leave earlier than we wanted. This one issue really detracted from what could have been a perfect experience. With the weather being SO HOT these days, having the AC on would make a HUGE difference. If they addressed this, it would definitely elevate the overall experience, making it much more enjoyable for everyone who visits. read more

And we go because, when we're in the area, it provides options for our kids, even if mid. My wife ordered a a banana coffee boba drink here and it was horrendous. The boba itself is among the top worse boba I've had, extremely soggy and gross. The drink itself was bitter and disgusting. I couldn't bring myself to swallow this stuff. I would not recommend this place.

Between the two, I prefer the milk tea with ice cream because of how creamy it is, I'd just adjust the sweetness to the lowest sweetness level possible. Service was decent; ordered at the kiosk so there wasnt much interaction to begin with. At the time my friends and I went, we were the only ones in the store, so it wasn't busy! Lots of seating in store!

I also added a 2nd scoop or crab which was an additional .95 cents that's an AFFORDABLE upcharge!
