I wanted to update my review. The owner contacted me. A very nice man. he explained that the irrigation person wasn't doing his job, which included making customer appointments and he has been fired. The owner was very caring and conscientious, which i appreciated. I contacted this company on August 27th to fix my irrigation system. I was told that it would be about 10-14 days to have someone come out and fix my irrigation system. I was told the price was $65 per hour, time and material per employee and a $130 service fee which included travel time and the first hour of work. I told them that i needed to be there and i needed an appointment but I wanted to the work done. I was told on August 27th that someone would call me shortly to set up an appointment. I waited and waited, nothing. On September 3rd, a week later, I wrote a message asking when someone would call to set up an appointment and no one has returned my message. Someone probably in office needs to answer customers messages. On September 9th, I wrote them not to bother. read more

Simple Lawns completed a detailed overhaul of my landscaping recently and I am thrilled with the result. From start to finish, David, Eddie, and their entire crew were exactly what you'd want in a team. They designed within my budget and delivered on their promise of getting it all done on time. They were even able to begin the project two weeks earlier than anticipated, ending a couple of days early. Even when things weren't perfect, as was the case when a few plants died shortly after planting, they were replaced immediately. Within three weeks, my house doubled in square footage. The outside is truly part of our home now. That has a huge impact, given the amount of time we spend at home these days. What used to be overgrown and crowded shrubs turned into different vignettes designed to complement the home they surround. Simple Lawns took my ridiculous wish list (as I believe in asking for the moon and seeing how close you can get) and helped me actualize the concept. Our project included design, lighting, irrigation, shrub removal, planting, tree relocation, and maintenance, among other things. It was an investment, and well worth the cost. I am confident if we DIYed this thing, the result would've been OK and we would've spent less money. But the result we got from Simple Lawns has undoubtedly added significant value to our property, making the investment well worth it. When I first had them out to the house to give us a price I made it clear to Vitaly that weeds were my irritant and we have a very nice yard so I wanted the weeds cared for properly and taken care of weekly. He assured me that I would have virtually no weeds while they cared for my yard. I signed a year contract with him and at first they did a great job. Then a few months later I noticed they were not doing as great a job. I said something to the lead worker and it got better that week. The weeds were not cared for properly after the first few months. I constantly had weeds in my yard. I even pointed them out to the lead guy and told him they needed to get taken care of properly. He pulled a few weeds while I was there watching but quit as soon as I left as all the other weeds were still there when I got home. Included in the contract was the start up and shut down of our irrigation system. When I asked about that the lead guy told me there was another crew that did that. Well it was never done and we had to do it ourselves. The final straw was when we got a letter with our statement at the 10 month mark stating that they were going to be raising our monthly cost $50 starting the next month...you know the month we were already in and had had a service already done in. Now I understand rising costs but to tell me a week AFTER the raise in rate took effect is bad business, not to mention I had a contract that had me at a locked in price for 2 more months. I brought that to his attention and he did honor the contract as he legally had to do. Also a $600 price jump per year is a bit steep. I gave him a months notice that we would not be continuing yard service with them and from that point forward the service was horrific which I pretty much expected based on their performance up to that point. The week after they were done my 3 kids and I spent about 4 hours fixing the yard back up, that shows how wonderful the service they performed was. They did not even show up the last week to do the service. I deducted that amount from the final payment and now they are asking for that money even though they did not do the work. I would steer clear of them for maintenance. They might do a good job with design and installation but they are horrible at maintaining a yard and raise prices without notice. *** In reply to Vitaly's response. We declined the clean up because we had already cared for our yard properly and I told him that. The photos I posted were taken immediately after your crew left my yard and the same day I spoke with one of the guys about pulling the weeds properly before they left. I spoke with your crew multiple times about the service. I called and left a message with you that was not returned the same day I took those photos and I took them to show you what was left after they left. You did not care about us until I wrote this review and then you did borderline harassed me trying to get me to remove it. I stand by my review. read more

Three quotes for our irrigation project were sought and we are very happy with our selection of Simple Lawns. Their quality of work and customer service including communication was excellent throughout the project. Irrigation installation was requested for several levels of our sloped lot. A few changes were added as the project proceeded, and the costs were very fair. Each day began promptly with the necessary tools to install numerous zones and spray heads unique to the particular areas. Great attention was given to details and they made suggestions to improve our task at hand. Our end result for this irrigation project is much more than we anticipated, and we are extremely pleased. I am actually not a customer. I am a neighbor of a customer who had extensive landscaping done by Simple Lawns. In the process, they inadvertently covered our home in a thick layer of dust while their guys were cleaning up with a big blower while a bit of wind was blowing our way. Our home is very large, and we recently had the entire place pressure washed. I was a bit annoyed and contacted the owner Vitaliy. He said he'd clean it up, but I've heard many promises like that before and had my doubts. I was pleasantly surprised when a week or so later his guys showed up with a pressure washer and washed the entire place down. We have been using the services of Simple Lawns for about 9 months. They have done maintenance on the yards at 2 of our properties.
