This is a small, very casual Thai restaurant located across from Southwestern College and Bonita High School. My sister and I dined-in and we ordered coconut shrimp, pad see ewe, red curry with tofu, and iced tea with boba. Everything was yummy. I recommend this place. Though we normally take-out thai we decided to dine in because it was so cute, clean and had cozy booths. Our Server was curteous and our food arrived quickly. Great location across from Southwestern College and with lots of parking. Staff is friendly and attentive. Came here for lunch with my daughter and we ordered the Calypso Shrimp, which is fried coconut shrimp topped with a refreshing mango salsa, krao prao gai (minced chicken stir fried with garlic, chili sauce and fresh basil with fried egg on top) and crab pad thai (which was my favorite). Definitely returning!!! :) I ordered Drunken Noodles, Green Curry, Mango Sticky Rice, and a tamarind fish dish (not sure what the name was) -- all of them were DELICIOUS and really good portions! Sometimes when I visit thai places, I find that they skimp out on the proteins (i.e. chicken, pork, etc) but Simply Fresh doesn't do that. One thing I will note is that their spice levels are not for the weak! I'd probably recommend starting off with mild spice levels first, especially for their curry. Finally some good Thai food in Eastlake. I called and placed an ordered for pickup since it is cheaper than ordering pickup through the DoorDash app (by about $2 per item!!). They told me 20 minutes but I arrived there sooner than that and all my food was ready by time I got there. The food is much better than the previous establishments... I ordered summer rolls (vegetable), the eggplant dish with chicken, and a Tom yum soup. Everything was excellent and I want to especially point out the eggplant! It was cooked perfectly. Everything was packaged with care, including the soup I ordered so it would not spill in the car. Came here on a rainy night after the gym and this place hit the spot. We shared the pork belly, crab fried rice, and Khao Soi w/ beef. They serve up a generous portion of crispy pork belly accompanied by a delicious green dipping sauce (nam jim?) that was spicy, sweet and citrusy. The crab fried rice was fluffy with fresh chunks of crab. If Khao Soi had a body type, she would be THICC. This soup is a flavor bomb of goodness that hails from Northern Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. The noodles are bathed in a thick, rich, coconut curry broth. The protein is usually chicken or beef, and it's garnished with cilantro, scallions, sliced shallots, pickled mustard greens, fresh lime and topped with crispy egg noodles which gives the dish that crunchy, nutty factor. The ribeye here is so tender. The broth? Luscious. My only gripe is that the crispy egg noodles were either not made to order or bought already fried from the grocery store. This resulted in the topping being chewy rather than crunchy. I figured it was near closing time and maybe they didn't want to waste any food that was already prepared. Frying those egg noodles fresh to order is something to consider when topping this dish but I digress. Service was great, place was clean, and we left feeling full. First impressions are that the decorations are very subtle and hip. The pictures on the wall gave me minimalistic vibes. Ordered the usual when I go to a Thai place which is Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Pad Thai was good and the added cilantro was a nice touch to the dish. Feel like it needed a little more crumbled peanuts though, but that's probably just me. Four stars because we love their food, excellent customer service, and clean, pleasant dining area. Their crab pad thai was delicious, and the pineapple curry is definitely something to rave about. I love their food! Four, not five stars because the crispy noodles on the khao soi was not crispy, it looked fried, but it was chewy. I was a pleasant surprise though, that the khao soi was a huge serving, I only ate 1/3 and I had to take home the rest. Another unexpected thing about the Khao soi was that it came with 2, not 1 chicken drumstick, plus more chicken drumstick pieces in the soup! Not fried chicken, though - but I still loved it! So flavorful! The crispy pork belly was good, not great - good, because it was not crispy at all and it has that used oil after-taste. All in all, we love it here. Came based on the recommendation of a friend that travels frequently to Thailand. Ordered Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls. Sate chicken, Pad Thai Chicken, a salad, and naturally some Thai Iced Tea. The appetizers arrived promptly. The Spring Rolls were huge. Very flavorful. They were so big mine fell a part at the end. The Sate Chicken was also huge. We are used to small thin slices of chicken served in other places. These were huge. Next time we'll order one or the other, but not both. The Pad Thai Chicken was orders with a mild spicy level, and it was just right for my pallet. My wife found it too spicy for her. It was a nice serving size and was very tasty. Service was perfect. However, the pad see ew with beef was a disappointment. There was an unusual smoky after taste flavor so I wouldn't get this dish here again. Great little gem across Southwestern and Bonita Vista High. We have a regular Thai place we go to, but after this, it will change. Cute place with big booths and Thai theme everywhere you look. The food was amazing! Super fresh, like the name indicates, right down to the little pieces of mango in every dish. We ordered the calypso shrimp, mango chicken, pad Thai, larb, and mango sticky rice. Between the 4 of us, we gobbled up everything. Food wasn't heavy and the portions were just right.
