If you are a wrap person this is your spot. I have become obsessed with this place. I first had their Caesar wrap and really liked it. Then I tried the El Paso wrap with some extra toppings I like and it's my go to now. Always order it with Mediterranean ranch and spicy chipotle dressing. Those two are the best. I wanted to sit inside and eat but it was sooo cold I could hardly stand waiting for my food. Now let's talk about the atmosphere. The employees were polite and efficient. But that's it. Absolutely nobody smiled or looked like they enjoyed their jobs. The environment was more unwelcoming than anything. I had forgotten I recently seen a post from a former employee who complained about the working conditions and said no one should support them. Legit healthy option! After noticing an upwards trend on the scale for the past couple weeks, I wanted to eat something veggie-heavy and filling. Simply Salad caught my eye as we were driving by and Hubby made a u-turn so we could have lunch here. There is a Build Your Own option but I saw a signature item that interested me called Earthy, Nutty, Crunchy. It comes with Simply Salad mix, tofu, beets, edamame, and artichoke hearts. It also comes with sunflower seeds and croutons but I swapped those out for red bell peppers and pickled onions. The allergen menu clearly marked their vegan dressings so I got this with tahini. This was a very big portion of salad and I appreciate that they chopped this too. My first time at Simply Salad. I was excited to try the wrap. My issue was with the customer service. Placed my order in store. Ended up waiting more than 15 mins. Apparently ordering online is preferred as they were doing online orders first instead. Another customer ordered after me so both of us standing with no acknowledgment whatsoever. I even made a comment to that customer "I guess if you order in person we can just f---- off and wait". That customer got her food before me. Finally I asked if my order was coming up anytime soon. The reply was "it's coming up now" she proceeded to bag it up, put it on the counter with no sorry for the wait, thank you or anything. I snidely said thank you, grabbed the bag and threw the paper menu I had taken in the trash can knowing I'll never go back. The wrap itself was fine a little dry though. I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in along time and so when I went to order I had no idea what I wanted.. thanks to the cashier for being so patient with me! I ended up getting the build your own salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I ordered mine with romaine lettuce, garbanzo beans, apples, black olives, crispy onions, red onions, croutons, grilled chicken and cheddar cheese. It was really good and I'd love to go back just to switch it up and try other ingredients. The total cost was $17.19 which is definitely a splurge( for me) for a salad! This place is my go-to every other Thursday and for good reason. The restaurant is always clean, the music is on point, and the staff is super welcoming and helpful with great recommendations. Today, I stepped outside my usual scheduled visit, and I'm so glad I did. Even though I've ordered from this location often, I had never signed up for their rewards program. Today Cindy encouraged me to sign up right there before paying, and it was quick and easy. I signed up, earned some rewards instantly, and got to use them toward my order today - total win! I am writing this review as I am chomping on my Chinatown salad. I had purchased my salad to go. I kindly explained to the cashier that I was going to take it to go and that I didn't want the sauce mixed into the salad. She understood and separated the salad dressing as well as the wonton crisps that accompanied the salad. I visit this place sometimes as I am trying to be delibrate about ingesting a balanced diet with greens. If you are dining in, this place is pretty small. There aren't too many seats, but I would imagine that lots of people actually take their salads to go. I love the water and ice vending area. You could literally fill a nice water bottle with their vending machine.
