Easy enough to park since they have a small parking lot. Inside was clean and there were plenty of tables. It was pretty quiet when I was there. The menu is what you'd expect from a Mediterranean place, nothing unusual. The guy working the counter was friendlyd. My only real complaint was the meat. It makes me really sad to pay so much for food and for it to not be that great. I ordered a chicken kabob wrap for 15$. It was out in about 10 minutes but man, it was the most mediocre kebab wrap I've had. It was just average. I've been coming here for several years and every time I come, the consistency in service and food is always exquisite. The cooks and the gentleman that run the place are always so professional and kind and informative. Not once have I ever walked into this establishment and seen it even a little bit dirty they are constantly cleaning and wiping down the tables. Parking can be a little bit tight at times, but it is worth it to come in and get good quality food in generous proportions in today's economy. You should be choosy about where you eat and where you spend your money and I would hands-down encourage everybody to try this place because the food is really that good. We wandered in here on a whim, knowing nothing about it, but I'm so glad we did! The prices are a little high for the portions, but the meat was so tender and flavorful. We got both the lamb and beef and the texture was on point. The tabbouleh is great, and the garlic fries are unusual but we liked them too! The food here is good. It's a little pricey for what it is but prices for everything seem to be higher these days. Our kids loved the pasta salad side. Not really a good first choice or second if you really had an alternative. I have not given Meze a second try since my first visit years ago, and I vowed not to review places with only a single visit. Unfortunately, a second chance meeting didn't really surpass the mediocre impressions from before. Underwhelmingly average, the kabobs are underseasoned, bland, and can be a bit mealy. Maybe it is turnover, or maybe their version is made as such. Just a stone's throw away across the LA River are far better choices. Sides and accompaniments are also okay, but there are details ignored like properly dressing a salad. Most disappointing was rice seemed undercooked and possibly a day old. If you are in great need of a Mediterranean meal then by all means, but Meze misses the mark on so many things just to deliver a subpar performance. read more

Living during these COVID-19 times, my roommate and I have eaten a lot of takeout pizza as we have systematically been trying all of the neighborhood pizza joints and wherever we might be which was the latter case this time with La Canada Imports. Having grown up in the area and very familiar with them although I haven't eaten here in years, since I was in the area I thought it was as good of a time than any to reacquaint myself with this neighborhood eatery. PURCHASE Garlic French Fries ($9.95): Mixed with cilantro, feta cheese crumbles, salt, and black pepper, this was a ginormous portion that lasted a couple days (the final day wasn't that great). Thankfully, the thin fries were nicely seasoned with a wonderful crunchy exterior and moist interior. The cilantro was a nice touch (I loved cilantro and nearly put it on everything!), while as much as I loved feta cheese it was more of a window dressing because the pieces were so small, and the amount of garlic was just slight enough. I usually go to Panini Grill but I decided to try this place out. I ordered the beef kabob plate. The rice was okay, didn't really have flavor. Additionally, the hummus and pita bread was good. But what threw me off was that I recieved half way (kinda raw) cooked beef kabobs. I would be careful with buying kabobs here and check to see if your item is throughly cooked. Another pitfall to Mediterranean restaurants is disappointing rice. Often undercooked, it ruins the entire experience. But they nailed it.
