I love a good rice noodle and they do it so well. It very thin and soaks up the sauce very well. I got the guay tiew lohd tom yum and it was so flavorful. Protein is marinated pork and fried shrimp as topping. You can taste the fish sauce, and tanginess from tom yum. Good textures with pork, pork roll, bean sprouts, and peanuts. Overall good food. Would come back to try their other dishes!

The savory fillings also blended super well with the wrapping and were absolutely delicious. Khao Soi was good too but I wasn't impressed- the noodles were not cooked too well and kinda stuck together, but it wasn't major. However seating was a bit confusing as you had to find an empty table and the server would bring you the food. When it was busy the line and wait got messy and it's possible to get your food without having a table so I don't recommend coming here when it's super busy There were around 8 tables and some bar seatings. You can see staff making the food over the counter and the ventilation was done well even with all the stir fry and cooking.

I even ordered crispy garlic chicken at my typical local Thai restaurant to try to re-live the magic and all it did was make me miss Fern Thai even more. I live in Tacoma and cannot wait to get back into that area and eat there again. The atmosphere and decor was enchanting, the service was so wonderful and friendly. I really have to get back there.

I started with the crab rangoon, and it was a great appetizer. It had the perfect crunch on the outside, was creamy on the inside, and came with a delicious sweet and sour dipping sauce. For our entrées, we ordered the pad see ew and the pork belly with green beans. Both dishes were packed with flavor. The pad see ew had thick, chewy noodles with a great balance of vegetables and meat, making it both filling and satisfying. The standout, though, was the pork belly with green beans. It was absolutely incredible. We ordered it at spice level 3, and it definitely brought the heat. I was sweating by the end of the meal! The pork belly was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the green beans. If you're in the Capitol Hill area and craving some seriously delicious Thai food, definitely check this place out!

Server was patient as we were figuring out what to order. Wings were fish saucy, sweet, tangy from the tamarind, and surprisingly spicy! Not too bad but it will leave your tongue burning for a bit. Phad See Eiw was good as always. Chicken was flavorful and soft. Noodles were cooked perfectly, soft but not soggy in the sauce. Highlight was the battered chicken. I would come back here just for this. No notes for red curry. But the chicken, crispy AND juicy. I thought it would get soggy from the curry but it was STILL CRISPY after some time. SO good as leftovers! Just airfry the chicken again and it's as good as it was at the restaurant. Overall, cute thai spot for a group of friends or a date!

From the outside, we noticed the restaurant takes up a good amount of space in the building. Once we arrived, there were several people waiting to be seated. We added our name and number to the list. It was about a 10-to-12-minute wait for our party of 2. Throughout the restaurant, the lighting is dim and suited for night life. Once we were seated, we were given the menus. We ordered the Grilled Calamari, Uncle Odds Flank Red Curry Wild Betel Leave with Sticky Rice, Battered Chicken Red Curry, and Durian Tiramisu. The food came out at a respectable amount of time. The Grilled Calamari was an enticing appetizer off the menu based off how big it was. However, we were a bit disappointed once it arrived at the table. It was much smaller. It was still good regardless. Once our main entrees arrived, we were also a bit surprised by the lack of vegetables there were in the curry. Even though the menu states exactly what was in each of the curry dishes, we were still just shocked and questioning why that was. We both enjoyed the curries anyways. I wouldn't order the Battered Chicken Red Curry again only because the batter of the chicken was getting soaked the longer it sat in the curry and became a bit mushy. The texture was throwing me off. It was very filling as there were lots of chicken compared to the other curry we had which was a much smaller portion of protein. Lastly, the Durian Tiramisu was amazing! Definitely the star of the show for us. If you don't like durian, it won't be for you. For the durian lovers, this is a must have!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
