Wow, loved this little gem in Moab! Authentic Thai food with great service! They were able to cook safe food for my husband to eat, who has celiac and is very sensitive to any gluten or cross contamination. Eating out can be stressful but our waitress knew exactly what he could eat and what he couldn't eat. We came with a bigger party (table for 7) and our service was quick, attentive and friendly. Loved the spice jars when you walked in. Delicious eggplant, and loved the authentic Thai recipes that my family ordered. Would definitely go back when we come through Moab again! read more

There are two issues I want to address here: 1. Food--Sing Ha's food is fine. It's certainly not bad at all but it's not great Thai food. It's pretty standard fair and nothing too thrilling. Some dishes were bland (Drunken Noodles and Masaman) and others were good. Net net--a great break from road food and burgers. 2. Service--why the 1 star? Well, service was really good at the restaurant. The menu states that they automatically stick a gratuity on parties of 6 or more. There were 3 of us there for dinner. My wife and I work in the industry and they still put an auto-grat on our check. Not cool on a party of 3. We paid the amount they added to our check but added nothing else. They added 17%. I just got back and checked my credit card statement and the employees at Singha added another tip to my bill, this time in a different amount. These moves are not accidents, especially when they discretely put the tip on your bill in the first place (there's no indication other than a % sign). I'd be happy to give them 3 stars but this move is just BS. read more

In Honolulu we have lots of Thai restaurants, so there's a good deal of competition and we can distinguish a good Thai restaurant from a mediocre one. This one definitely falls into the latter category, with many of the key Thai ingredients and spices apparently missing and seemingly replaced with inferior substitutes. I might give this restaurant a second chance if the service were better. I can't figure out why the people who "served" us never smiled, and even worse seemed to have a look of "we don't care if you're here or not" on their faces. They seemed to be busier eating their own dinner (in plain sight of the dining room) than serving ours. This is definitely the last time I'll be eating at this restaurant. read more

Being fond of Thai cuisine, we were looking forward to trying out Sing Ha Thai; several of Roy's coworkers had eaten there, and said the food tasted good. We were to find out later on that there was more to the story than first told. To enter the restaurant, you need to walk up a set of stairs, past a couple of offices, and near the back is the entrance to the restaurant itself. The interior is smallish, too many tables, so you cannot help but see what your neighbor is eating, and hear their conversation. However, a friendly greeter will take you to a table, and then you can peruse the menu which is ala carte; there is also a tea menu. We ordered two appetizers: Spring Rolls, crispy, but with the typical large shreds of cabbage inside we've been seeing in Asian restaurants in the Four Corners area. Crab Rangoon, crispy wontons with smooth cream cheese, but tiny flecks of crab, so we were not sure if it was real crab or imitation. The main entrees were Chicken Pad Thai, not exactly what we were used to; while it tasted good, it had an unusual flavor we couldn't identify. The Sweet and Sour Shrimp was very good; rice was extra though, and that seemed chintzy on their part, considering the prices charged for the menu items. The portions are not large, so if sharing, consider ordering more than one main entrée. At first we considered this a place to go back to if we were truly in the mood for Thai; however, we changed our minds several hours later when we both were not feeling very well. When Roy went back to work the next day, his coworkers asked him about his experience with Sing Ha Thai. He told them, including how we both fell ill the same evening. Surprise, surprise; his coworkers said they had experienced the same thing, but didn't tell him, so he wouldn't be negatively influenced beforehand. They couldn't be sure if it was the food or not, but our experience, coupled with their comments, indicates it most likely was. Was it the large amount of shredded cabbage, the unusual taste we couldn't identify? So, we will not be visiting Sing Ha Thai restaurant again. read more

So-so Thai food, but being a visitor from San Francisco and one who's partial to Asian food it was nice to give a restaurant like this to pass one dinner. Actually the chow fun style rice noodle wasn't too bad overall I guess. Prices are high compared to back home back about expected for the location, I guess. The male server was nice, but my knock against them are the two female staff who stood out as being unfriendly. In particular the one who played hostess when I came here back in May was especially in her greeting, like I was interrupting her free time showing up as a paying customer. When there are no other options for a particular type of restaurant, I tend to be a bit more generous. I think if Sing Ha Thai were in a larger city, I'd rate it 3*, but for being in a tourist-heavy small town that caters to the outdoors, it's nice to see that Thai is an option at all. It's certainly better than many of the other Moab restaurants. It has been packed both times I've been here with a crowd waiting outside its doors (thankfully the waiting area is inside the entrance way of the business complex and thoughtfully adorned with chairs). When we were finally seated on our most recent visit (Oct '13), our server was nice but super-harried. No problem there, but it didn't feel personal or anything like that. Food arrived in an appropriate amount of time, which surprised me given how busy they were. The food was solid - nothing spectacular, but better than decent. It was fresh, properly cooked, and spiced at the level I requested. I've also been highly impressed both times by the tea options! They ship in some interesting and tasty leaf combinations, and I wish they'd sell a tinful of the dried Mango Passion to me. They serve the teas in a traditional cast iron teapot and leave you with the little Asian tea cups. Is the establishment overpriced? Maybe... but again, it's a tourist town and I expect it. It was as good as the first time, so I'm sure any subsequent visits will be consistent. read more

This would be a 2 star or 3 star restaurant in the bay area, but because it is in Moab I give it 5 because it is a straight departure from almost all of the other homogenous flavorless blandness. The spicy was actually spicy, and the food was pretty much en par with average Thai that I've had here in the bay area. I went with a bunch of other people so had a few dishes. I had vegetarian pineapple fried rice, tilapia, yellow chicken curry, spring rolls(NOt that great), fried tofu (ok). But the main dishes were quite good. Smallish restaurant, very nicely decorated. Friendly staff. We got a table quickly. The portion sizes were small, but the food was intensely flavorful. We had the eggplant stir fry, pineapple shrimp curry, and pad thai. The pad thai was very unique, quite unlike any I've had before and I would highly recommended it. If you ever want to come in a group, make sure you pretend that you all don't know each other so you pay gratuity base on the actual service you receive. Food - JUNK! I've eaten lots of amazing Thai food, in Thailand, in the US, and in other countries. Passing through Moab, I was happy to find Sing Ha but ddn't expect much from it -- given its location I was happy to find Thai cuisine available at all. So, what a great surprise -- the food is outstanding! Got the Pad See Ew and Yellow Curry and they were some of the best examples of those dishes I've had. In particular, you really notice the high quality of the ingredients. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it. Definitely looking forward to eating there again next time I'm in Moab. read more

The entrance to this Thai place is unusual to say the least, the door has Barbershop and Thai listed on it, for a minute you think the barbershop and restaurant are in the same place. Thankfully they only share the common entrance. This is your regular thai place with great photos and paintings of Thailand, Buddha that add to its decor. We ordered Thai ice tea, my fav @ any thai place and veg spring rolls. The menu is little tricky when it comes to this dish. It shows (2) in the description, which lead me to think, the dish has only (2) rolls, however the dish has six rolls. For a part of four, we ended up ordering two plates, which was a little excess. For the main course, i decided to ditch my usual Pad-Thai and go with Red curry and brown rice, which was nice, not too spicy. We also ordered green curry, yellow curry and basil-mixed curry with rice. The food is pretty good, prices are decent, for a party four, our tab came to approx $65. all in all, decent place to visit, if you are longing for some thai. Brace yourself. This is a two-part story. Part I: We go in around 8:30 on a Monday for a late-ish dinner, famished after a long day of exploring. Place is busy, but there are a couple of open tables. We are completely ignored for the longest time, until the waitress comes up to us and tells us to hold on. We wait. For about 30 minutes. We are finally seated...after which we wait for another 20 minutes until we are finally given plates, napkins, and silverware. 10 minutes later and the waitress is finally ready to take our order. I open my mouth and the moment I say "I would like the drunken noodles without egg-" I get cut off and she basically snaps at us saying that there is no way that she can make the dishes without egg for us tonight, that she would prefer if we just left. So we got up and got the hell out of there, appalled and basically vowing to never come back after such a terrible experience with such a rude waitress and overall terrible service. Also, the items were pretty overpriced. Then. Part II: The next day, after a morning of lots of hiking and climbing around, we are again famished. We definitely have a hankering for some warm Thai food, and decide to drop our pride and go back to Singha. It was as if the waitress was a completely different person. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde kinda stuff. She was nice, profusely apologized for the terrible service from yesterday, and made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered drunken noodles, and my family ordered fried rice. Drunken noodles were decent, but after having a bite from my sister's fried rice, I decided that Singha's food was sub-par, at best. The fried rice was crud, rather stale, and after so many experiences at tons of Thai restaurants all over the US AND as an LA native/bay area resident, this particular one was very low on my list. However, the prices were considerably lower for lunch than for dinner - for the same exact dishes. Singha? Meh. I've definitely had better food, DEFINITELY had better Thai, and without a doubt had better service. Also, the restaurant had a strange smell and didn't rank very high for ambiance/cleanliness. Singha Thai Cuisine is a decent overpriced Thai restaurant. Decided to try the place after enjoying our day at Arches National Park. We arrived in time for dinner, and we were all hungry after all our hiking. The restaurant was packed, and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table of 5. The food tasted fine. I tried the spring rolls to start with. Mediocre compared to what I'm used to. The portion was rather small for the price. I always order my favorite dish (pad thai) when visiting a Thai restaurant for the first time. Their pad thai is flavorful and a good entree choice. Did not try any of our companions orders. Although, they all said the food was good. Wife and I finished our meal with the sticky rice with mango for dessert. This dessert was very good, and the perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant was small and cozy. The service was good and bad. Our server was terrific. The hostess who did not greet us was rude. We had to search her out to ask for a table. She seemed very bothered to have to deal with us. She told us (in a rude way) to wait outside the dining area until a table became available. We almost decided to leave and not wait for a table, but our companions really wanted Thai food. Was the restaurant worth the wait? Well, I'll just say that next time we're in town.....I'd try a different restaurant before returning here again. read more

Tried to grab a quick to-go meal from this location after a full day of visit from the Arches National Park. Tried calling to order, but no one picked up the phone, so just went to the shop to order. Ordered Pad Thai with medium spicy. I have to say this is one of the best Pad Thai I had had. Noodles were very flavorful with the adequate touch of spice and oil. Let me start by saying I eat A LOT of Thai--in small towns and big towns alike. This was definitely on the low end of the scale. Drunken noodles (pad khee mao) was oily and flavorless. I asked for spicy, and I got spicy, but it was a flavorless heat. No hint of fish sauce, garlic, or any of the other flavors that make Thai food so yummy. I found two small leaves of Thai basil in the heaping plate of noodles--not near enough to spread the flavor around. Oh, and did I mention that it was EIGHTEEN DOLLARS for pad khee mao with tofu? My husband's yellow curry was thin, sparse, and equally flavorless. And it was equally exorbitant in price. The atmosphere is almost as bland as the food, and the service was stoic and disinterested. I can't even say "It's good for a small town in Utah", because I tasted the best Thai yellow curry I've ever had at a hole-in-the wall in Needles, CA, and I live in a town half the size of Moab and have two much better Thai restaurants within fifteen miles of my house. This place is not even good with lower "small town" standards in place. A real let-down. read more
