We eat a lot of Thai food back home and I have to say this one is right up there! I was a little skeptical at first. How good can a Thai restaurant be so far inland. We'll, I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We stared out with the Angel Wing appetizer. Very tasty, almost as good as our favorite Thai Siam back home. We also had the Massaman curry with seafood, 2 stars. Yum! Over brown rice, it was near perfect. It would have been perfect had they served Thai red rice instead. But we're in Moab, not home. My wife and I were on a roadtrip from New York City to Chico, CA when we detoured up from Gallup, NM into Moab to see the Arches National Park. We always stop into the local visitor's centers and before leaving, we asked the ranger where we might find a Thai restaurant in Moab. He walked us outside and pointed at a building adjacent to their parking lot and told us that's the place to eat: Singha Thai Cuisine. Now, I must admit that my wife is Thai and we make our home part-time in Khao Lak, Thailand (tsunami area) and while on this roadtrip, we were missing Thai food. When we walked into this place we couldn't help but notice it was packed with one couple waiting to be seated. A good sign! We waited about 8 minutes and were seated in an area nearest the kitchen and not in the main dining room. We felt most comfortable there since it was more "Thai-like" and we also could converse with the staff...in Thai. My wife found out they were from NE Thailand and Bangkok and the whole staff are from Thailand. One of their staff-members is the retired Police Chief of Chiang Mai, a beautiful northern town 500km north of Bangkok. He brought his family so his daughter could find a better life in America. So, let's get back to the food. I'm no expert on Thai cuisine, so EVERY time I go to a Thai restaurant I order Pad See Eaw with chicken. My dear friend back in Thailand cooks this for me and its perfect and this is my measuring tool for all others. Let me say first hand, that the Pad See Eaw at Singha Thai was just as perfect (and perhaps even a bit better!) than in Thailand. The owners, Wat and Jojo, have done wonders to their food. I really felt like I was back in Khao Lak, Thailand! My wife had Tom Yam and Lad Kai and she was very impressed. Also, we shared sticky rice. Everything was wonderful! After the next day in Arches National Park, we took a break and went back to Moab and decided to have lunch at Singha Thai. We really enjoyed the night before and were craving more! This time we ordered lunch specials and it couldn't have been better. I ordered the Brocolli sauteed with fresh with carrots and mushrooms in a brown sauce. My wife ordered mixed vegetable delight in special brown sauce. The prices were about $7.50 and delicious and was well under what we would expect to pay in other cities. In fact, the dinner the night before was reasonably priced, too. We had good conversation with Wat, Jojo and their staff. They were all very cordial, polite and welcoming. We would encourage anyone going to Moab to stop in and have a great meal. We felt so welcomed and the food was fabulous. We wish the family many years of success and happiness. We walked in and were able to immediately place an order for carryout....10 minutes later, we had a piping hot meal! Pad thai and chicken satay. Both were delicious...really flavorful! We could taste lemongrass and other nuances that are often missing in Thai food. The woman who worked there was so warm and friendly....a lovely person! I I ordered shrimp tempura but they come with only 2 small shrimps and tons of vegetables fried. The waitress keep saying it's regular while normally when I went to other Thai restaurant it's should come with at least 4 shrimps so it's shouldn't call shrimp tempura, I ordered Massaman Curry and it's not so Thai at all, it's just beef with sweet curry sauce. if you want authentic Thai food I'm highly not recommend this place. read more

They allowed indoor dining and there was only one other patron inside so I beckoned my husband to cancel the sushi and eat in. Thank heavens we did because the food was absolutely amazing!! Totally authentic Thai flavors. We ordered the Pad Kra Prow with minced chicken and Mango Shrimp Curry. It was fantastic. Even the Thai tea was yummy! We had an awesome meal! This was a nice find, wanted to eat Vietnamese but the place was not seating customers, only takeouts. And right next door is Singha Thai so we gave it a try. We had the spring roll, crispy and very tasty; followed by: Spicy Seafood Shrimp, scallop, squid, with red and green peppers,mushrooms, onions and basil leaves, stir fried with brown sauce. Pla Rad Prik (Tilapia) Whole deep fried fish topped with special chili sauce, tomatoes, pineapple and onions. Choo-Chee Curry Light coconut sauce with Choo- Chee curry paste on a bed of steamed vegetables. Everything was done perfectly well, we ate it all up! Hope the picture is a good indication! I love Thai food, but the problem is I love this one dish too much and I tend to order the same thing every time I go to a Thai restaurant. That may not normally be an issue, but it is if you have a blog because then you are always writing about the same damn thing! So, on this visit to Singha Thai in Moab, Utah, I decided to order from their Indian menu. Who knew they had Indian? On this particular visit, there were loud children and it was very crowded. With only a few Thai restaurants in this small town, I've found it is best to go during off hours. Luckily, we arrived for an early dinner and got a table before the line started forming. Yay! An order of Diamond sake was in order as we recounted the day's BASE jumping activities. This was the first time I noticed that there are Indian dishes at this Thai restaurant. So, I ordered the Vindaloo made with broccoli, peas, fried tofu, potatoes, and lots of ginger. I ordered it spicy--4 out of 5. It was pretty good except that the potatoes weren't fully cooked through and hard potatoes are never a good thing. But, oh, was it spicy! Overall, I enjoyed it. The service was a bit slow this time, but it was also very busy. Regardless of the loud children and slow service, Singha remains one of my favorite restaurants in Moab. :-) read more

Moab surprised me! But to be honest with you I am from Asia and currently living in the Bay Area. So, the 3 star if for as my standard. But for Moab, it will be a 4 star! Their house special fish place is a NO. But their red curry roast duck and fried rice are good! In addition, don't go there during the busy hours. I think they are short in people. Great restaurant but I have a some concern about the work ethic in the restaurant. Saw one of the waitress took the tip and slipped into her own pocket. I used to work as a waitress too and We share the tips with all the co-workers because we all work very hard. Such gesture is not good for the working environment. Sing Ha is also a good Thai beer and an excellent choice with dinner here. My mate and I found this place on a side street half a block off the main drag. Friendly greeting, followed by smiling Asian server. Soft spoken and bowing as she presented our water and menus. I chose the volcano shrimp. Not sure what happened to the volcano, but the dish was excellent- sauté shrimp in a mildly spicy/sweet sauce atop a row of perfectly tender asparagus. Brown rice done right. My mate enjoyed a generous portion of Pad Thai noodles with chicken. Also done right. Tom Kha and wan ton soup cup to start -both delicious. Reasonably priced and less crowded than much larger Arches Thai. We'll be back. read more

This place was great. We picked up takeout from Singha Thai twice during our 3 night stay in Moab in part because we were sick of eating pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers and slabs of meat everywhere else in southern Utah. It's one of 3 or 4 Thai restaurants in Moab, and it's cheaper than Arches Thai and Thai Bella by $2-3 per entree (~$15-17 vs $18-20). Every main comes with a side of rice. The woman running the restaurant was really friendly and helpful and added chopsticks to our order when she realized part of our group was Asian. Their estimated ETA of 20 minutes was pretty accurate and we didn't have to wait when we arrived to pick up our order. We got the prd kra pow with egg and chicken, red curry, panang curry, the green curry fried rice, sticky rice with mango, and a side of sticky rice. Everything was really tasty and had quite a bit of vegetables except the red curry, which had a bit of a weird aftertaste. The sticky rice is so great with the stirfry and meat-focused mains, and it was almost as good as when I had it in Thailand. We ordered spicy on the curries (3/5 I think?) and they had a solid kick but nothing too crazy. I would probably order 4/5 next time to get a spicy dish. Prd kra pow w/ chicken (5/5): This was about 50/50 chicken and veggies with some basil mixed in. The sauce was really tasty, had a bit of sugar in it but not overly sweet. The menu says it's spicy, but it was not spicy at all. Definitely order or sub sticky rice with this. Panang curry (4/5): I really like peanut curries and this had a good mix of chicken and veggies. The curry was on the lighter/thinner side, but that was fine for us since it made it less heavy than a fully coconut milk curry. It wasn't the best curry I've ever had but it was really tasty. Green curry fried rice (4/5): The flavor of the green curry paste was tasty. It had more rice vs pork and veggies than the other ones, but I mean it's fried rice. Sticky rice with mango (4/5): This was tasty. The sticky rice clearly hadn't cooked in the sweetened coconut milk sauce, but the mango was fresh and you can break up the sticky rice on your own to get the yummy flavors of the sauce. Red curry (3/5): similar to the panang curry, but I wasn't a big fan of the flavor. Covid: the staff were wearing masks, but we did see them take off their masks briefly to talk a couple of times while we were picking up. read more

This place was really good and a welcome meal in Moab! It was pretty busy when we came in and lots of large groups we're sitting at the tables in the center of the restaurant. Service was very friendly and our orders we're taken pretty quickly. We had 3 different servers over the course of the night, so maybe a bit discombobulated, but regardless it was quick and we we're checked in on throughout our wait and meal. I had the Drunken Noodle with Tofu and my partner had the Prik King Curry. I think his dish won for flavor, but my meal was equally as good. The portions were big enough I walked away with leftovers. They have a HUGE selection of hot teas that I really enjoyed. I got lemongrass tea but wanted to try so many others. Authentic Thai restaurant with friendly service and delicious food! We started with two cups of soup and a Thai ice tea. The soups were both pretty large for cups ($4) which was nice and very flavorful--especially the tom yum soup which was spicy and tangy. We shared the pad Thai and drunken noodles for dinner. Warning! Mild spice felt more like a medium to us--just enough heat but not too much. I definitely wouldn't want it any hotter. Pad Thai tasted authentic with fresh bean sprouts and peanut sprinkled on top. The drunken noodle had yummy sautéed veggies in it and a rich sauce coating the noodles.
