Amazing experience at sinners. Parents anniversary and they couldn't be more accommodating. The hostess let us drop off gifts early , and they helped us call in to pay the bill. Went for an anniversary meal. Expecting a simple but really good steak. Nothing else would have mattered. Inside typical steak house feel but with great view overlooking the water. The food- really the steak. Just bad. Texture bad. Taste bad. Asked the very nice waitress to recook it because I thought maybe it was because the steak was under cooked. They graciously ( as they should) sent it back. The same steak came back but still bad. Steak was sinewy and chewy, at best. When the steak came back out the manager came out and asked about it. I was told that it was "me" because they cooked the steak " at just the right temperature ". Ok, so he was saying i was wrong. Wow. Plus the steak is not cheap. Which we knew going in. That doesn't matter if you get a good meal. Bad, bad meal ( for my wife as well- she wouldn't finish hers). I've had better steaks in the chain restaurants. To be clear it would have been a really bad meal even in a chain restaurant. Meaning it was bad at any price. Just in this case we got to pay $175 for a bad meal and a kick in the you know what. This is only my 2nd review ever. Not a great experience. Drinks were ok. On to the meal; Me and GF started with the wedge salad and the fish ceviche, wedge salad was great! Fish ceviche was good except how do you serve a ceviche with no crackers of some kind, really wierd and definitely a misstep there. I ordered the cowboy ribeye and gf ordered the filet. My family is in the meat business so I believe I know good meat. This was disgraceful! Her filet had zero flavor, no seasoning and was no better than going to an outback. My ribeye was the worst I've ever had. A 28oz ribeye with maybe 8oz of meat. The bone was massive, they should call it a tomahawk to not mislead customers . The steak was sliced and not all the way thru, when it was served all you can see is a huge white chunk of fat right in the middle. I know a ribeye is marbled but by the time I trimmed all the fat, there was enough for a 5 yr old to eat. All I can say is the name Sinners is appropriate cause what you put on that plate was truly a sin. I love when a last minute decision works out! We decided to drive home from Great Adventure and swing through Point Pleasant, NJ. When deciding on dinner we remembered seeing a few post about Sinners Steakhouse and figured why not. My biggest takeaway besides the amazing food was the place felt like it had been there for years not weeks. Absolutely amazing! We went there for lunch this past friday and everything about this place is first class. The place was renovated beautifully with a great bar and outside. The food was simply amazing. Some of the best appetizers were the garlic shrimp and oysters. I also sampled the skirt steak and fillet which were cooked to perfection. Also if you like Halibut, it was done perfectly. But the winner was the lamb chops, omg amazing!!! The food and Server were great. However, the super loud atmosphere ruined my dinner with my girlfriend. A large table of drunk idiots in the middle of the room were yelling at the top of their lungs(no exaggeration) the entire night, cursing, and even disturbing other tables. There were about 10 of them that were completely obliterated and in front of their kids at the same table. I told the server to please ask them to keep it down and I saw him tell the manager, but then didn't see the Manager talk to them. I waited 30 min-1hr and I went up to talk to the Manager and he blew off what I had to say multiple times and said that he couldn't say anything to them because he can't "force them to be quiet" I told him that I was spending a few hundred there and that we couldn't even hear each other talk. He didn't seem to care and did not act or dress like a Manager at all. After I got livid with him, he finally told the table about their noise and he came over and said they apologized and gave a free dessert, but I should've had a free meal to be honest. Then, those passive aggressive drunk idiots decided to be louder and more outrageously obnoxious after the Manager talked to them. Immediately after he talked to them, I saw the Manager walk outside through the window in the middle of dinner time with a crowded restaurant to go smoke with people. Absolutely ridiculous. We were so upset, we took our dinners to go and only ate half of them because this whole experience really made us lose our appetite and want to leave. It's honestly a shame because the food was exceptional, but We will not go back because that was the worst Restaurant Manager and atmosphere I've ever seen and he should be fired!!!!! read more

I realize they have just opened and will have details to work out but,,,the view is outstanding, the pricing of the food is outstanding, the service was lacking, our server disappeared for a good 20 minutes and was not very attentive. The seating is so tight that servers have to walk completely around other tables to be able to serve yours. The addition of some round tables would alleviate the table congestion. The windows have no way of blocking the bright light from outside, which is extremely annoying, alittle tint on the windows would fix that and make the atmosphere just right. Food was very good, but no gluten free offerings on the menu. I would think in this day and age , several gluten free choices would be appreciated. We visited on a whim so we weren't in the nicest clothing but had no problem being seated or feeling comfortable. I got a skirt steak with chimichurri and he got a filet mignon. My partner and tried it out first time tonight. We had the clams organato and clams casino, both were excellent. My partner ordered Lobster Bisque and it had lots of lobster and she said delicious. I had a wonderful and tasty french onion soup: my partner also ordered a burger which she said was delicious. Manhattan Prices in Pt Pleasant. Cowboy steak was good but not worth $68.00. Kettle One Martini was $20.00 $16 for the Martini plus a $4.00 addition for the Kettle One. $8.00 extra for a baked potato when I paid $68.00 for a steak. So not worth it. read more

Been here several times before and always raved about it and heartily recommended it. That's over. Came here on Sunday night, the place was empty. My son and his wife took my wife and me out for my birthday. Sadly, I chose the restaurant. My son was interested in one of the specials, Beef cheeks. He asked the waitress about it and she said it was very popular and that everyone liked it, so he ordered it. It was sinewy, gristly and just overall a very tough piece of meat. He told the waitress and she didn't offer anything to make it right. I ordered the 14 oz sliced skirt steak, which I have had there several times. First off, the portion was much skimpier than in the past. Second, I ordered it medium, and the two or three slices on top were medium and very good, however, the only was I can describe the rest would be burnt ends. Small, crispy pieces. And the fact that they were hidden under the "good" pieces tells me it wasn't an accident. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to upset my son and daughter-in-law when they were taking us out, but to be sure, I'll never be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Recently had a Friday night dinner,place is kind of loud especially when they sit you right next to the rack where the severs keep all the glasses silverware ect.Got the chopped antipasto as a starter which was good perfect amount of dressing,i ordered the Delmonico steak and my wife had the crab cakes,she liked hers two nice size cakes and she said the crab tasted good,The steak was on the smaller side and came out to the table pre sliced,which to me is a mistake because if you cut it and it sits for a bit it dries out,for the highest priced steak it was not good,drinks were tasty and the dessert was so/so,for a 200 dollar meal we kind of left unsatisfied,more than likely won't be returning read more

Where do we begin?! Wow what a humbling experience to say the least! We were hesitant to try this place to begin with because of other reviews but decided to test our luck anyway. For starters, we walked in and our presence was ignored by one of the waitresses because she rushed to seat the big family that walked in MINUTES after us. I assume she thought she was getting a higher tip from the table. Very non genuine interaction. We were seated, and had to wait 30 minutes for our drink. We kept brushing everything off but it seemed like the place was just taking a crap on us to say the least. The seafood tower was beyond mediocre. The lobster was masked in a bunch of crap that doesn't go. Cilantro, avocado, and onion on a fresh lobster? It's giving taco vibes. The waitress was OK but she was doing a whole lot of nothing. She ran by our table 1000x and didn't bother to check on us once, and didn't bother to offer another drink when the cup was empty for 20 minutes. M'am you're decreasing your own tip this way considering the bill will increase with another drink added to the tab lol. After such a degrading experience and environment we decided to ask for a manager and ended up saying something nicely to the guy with the bun and beard. (Whoever he was - he claimed he was the manager). We refused to spend an extra second in this toxic farty place and just asked to pay for whatever we ate. This was the grand finale for us! At first he seemed apologetic and then moments later he seemed to be irritated and ended up being quite rude when we told him we didn't get any of the stuff that was printed on our first bill that he presented us. He "fixed" the first bill and slammed the second bill he brought us and was beyond nasty about it. No body's expecting any handouts and we've never had to do something like this in our life and if you know us personally we would never expect anything, but at least try making up for this disgusting experience by having some decency and not being a coward jacka** about it. The girls in the front were talking smack the entire time as well. The cowardness and lack of self realization of this s*** hole is what will be it's downfall.
