First review of 2022, and first day back in action at work! I popped in here this morning to sort through my inbox and kick off the new year the right way with a tasty coffee drink and healthy breakfast. My hot vanilla latte with oat milk was amazing, however, the real star of the show was the avocado toast with an over-medium egg! YES, please!! The balsamic drizzle added such a nice pop to the flavor. The bread was soft and perfect. I'll be adding this to my regular brekky routine! Talk about serious brain fuel. I really like this place and I would be here more often if it weren't for the extremely LOUD music they play. I want to study and do work outside of my house and I swear even with my headphones on full blast I can still hear their music over mine. I also know I'm not the only one who feels this way as I've had multiple friends with me say the same thing. WATERED DOWN! I got a Horchata Cold Brew, and it tastes like cinnamon water. I can't taste creaminess from the horchata or coffee flavor from the cold brew. I'm very disappointed. Ambiance is nice and they play great music, I love the patio! It's dog friendly and they have a dog water station. But unfortunately I'm not sure if I'd return, as the drink was not good at all. read more

What a rad space! They converted an auto garage into a really cool coffee shop. This spot is perfect for meeting with friends, from the bar to the roll up garage doors, so definitely encourage you bring a friend! They also have monthly specials; like matcha coffee & brownies. Came here for drinks only! I really like the concept of this place, love the indoor-outdoor design and the ample outdoor seating. There were two girls working there when I came in, but I only interacted with the lovely brunette. She was really cool and so friendly!! What's cooler is that she took my order, bartended and barista(-ed)!?! I've never seen such a thing - and these drinks are no joke...takes skill to get them right! She was fantastic. Wow...cool spot in the heart of Arcadia that serves both coffee and beer. My barista was very cool and she made me the most perfect mocha with almond milk. My problem with most mochas is that there is too much sugar. In fact, a mocha should be more cocoa flavored. I haven't had a mocha this good for about 8 years. This place has a really nice environment which got me really excited to start coming here, along with the delicious gf banana nut muffin I had. But ultimately, I judge a place by its coffee because that is really what I'm looking for. I ordered an iced americano with honey, cinnamon powder, and a splash of almond milk... it was very watered down, barely any ice when they handed it to me, and not strong in any way possible. Not only this, but my boyfriend's cold brew was also watery and barely flavored, despite ordering both honey and vanilla. All that to say, I believe he enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and if you are looking for a quick bite, come to sip, but if you are looking for good coffee, I would way look elsewhere. read more

Sip is great! A good place to meet up with people, and a good place to go solo if you're studying or working. The drinks are on point and the service is friendly. I love that this used to be a garage - it gives it a unique setup. Ambiance: this is a casual place to hang out and have a snack or a drink. There's a moderate amount of seating (maybe 20 seats inside?), with options for groups or individuals. There was construction that took up a substantial amount of the room the last time we went. Drinks: the cocktails are on point, and they have ample options for beer drinkers as well. Coffee is good, and they sell pastries from local makers. Food: the breakfast burrito was really good!! The music in here can be a little loud, but overall a solid coffeeshop. We usually make it a point to come here every couple of months and to bring visitors who are looking for that local flair. Great atmosphere, good lattes. Tight parking lot. Bathroom one was fine, two needed to be cleaned (per my friend who came out of that one).

One particular staff member here is so rude, it makes me never want to come here for fear of her ruining our day. A while ago she backstocked all the cups and took and filled a drive through order who arrived after me before even taking my order. She then proceeded to finish other side work before even starting my drink. A full 10 extra minutes of waiting before getting served. Then today I walked in and she was standing near the register so I started ordering and she said "I'll be right with you" (rudely, as if it was preposterous that I'd consider bothering her) and then confronted another customer about changing her mind on wanting aoli. I know being a barista is hard. I worked in food service for years. She should probably consider working at a designer store where you get paid to act like customers are inconveniencing you. I hope she's nicer to her coworkers than she is to us. They're always out of pastries, food isn't great, and it's expensive. Bummer because it's in a great location and the rest of the staff are very very kind. read more

SIP is good. The strong iced Americano, was made by the very nice Matthew.. The gluten free banana bread was very good and moist. Pricey, my bill was over 12.00. This is a great place from morning to evening. You can get your coffee or tea here in the AM (or whenever) inside or in there nifty drive-thru. Then you can also enjoy a nice cocktail, beer, or wine in the evening. I love coming here to meet friends for a coffee or drink to catch up, finish working, or just a nice little place to relax and enjoy a bite to eat with friends. The wifi is great considering a lot of people come here to work or study. Also the patio is pet friendly! Love walking my dog here to grab a coffee. There is another place located inside of Sip downstairs, it's now 36 Below-previously Undertow. This place is very different vibe than Sip, it's more "fancy" so it's not somewhere I would go if I was visiting Sip. It would be a separate trip in my opinion. read more

I had been to a location in scottsdale once, but this was my first time at this location! We stopped here before an event and enjoyed our drinks. They were having a birthday party and it was a little busy but not too bad, it is surprisingly spacious in there! For my drink I got a Paloma, it was pretty tasty and ready quick. My husband got a beer too. The bartender seemed pretty agitated. We ordered quick and weren't being difficult, but I felt like she was mad at us. Brought the mood down a bit lol. What a great spot! On my first visit, I only had coffee, but it was enough to put this place on my "must visit again" list to try more on the menu. It looks like they have a few interesting vegan options worth trying! The latte I had was delicious and very strong! I was bouncing off the walls for hours. They had oat milk available for my latte, which is always a plus. Service was great and friendly, and the overall vibe was inviting. It was a little louder than I usually like at a coffee shop, but no so much that I couldn't hold a casual conversation. Usually love this spot but my recent experience was horrible. I ordered their breakfast burrito with no cheese and added avocado and chicken sausage (which gives them more money so actually doing them a favor). Seems simple enough, however, when I received my order I cut open my burrito to find lots of cheese and NO avocado or chicken sausage. Honestly wasn't too upset, mistakes happen. I simply took it up to the front to reorder. The second time around the burrito took FOREVER to make. And because I needed to rush home for a work meeting I wasn't able to check the order again. Lo and behold, I get home and the burrito is full of cheese. Honestly, it's just unacceptable at this point. Very disappointed that such a simple request was ignored. I like the vibe here. It has a laid back city vibe with retro decor. There are several different types of seating available: the bar, a community table, cushion chairs, tables inside, and tables outside. They play good music and not too loud. They serve alcohol in addition to coffee, including lots of craft beers. Staff is friendly and the facility clean. Side note: the banana streusel was soooo delicious. It's like a coffee cake mixed with banana bread and is made into a heart form! It was perfectly moist and had great flavor. I will definitely be going back for it! We were cruising the east side of Phoenix after a brisk walk in our old neighborhood. Travelling west on Indian School, Donna spotted this place, and we were sold by the presence of a large outdoor dining area. The coffees were delicious, of course. Donna found out that her only option for decaf was to get freshly ground to order espresso. The patio was comfortable and quiet. Best of all dog friendly. The staff was compliant enough to mug for my camera. A really good first impression. Next year, I suppose we will be back and try the food. read more

So many goods about this place. 1. Great adaptive re-use of an old car-centric property. (Automotive garage) 2. The underground tiki bar with the entrance in the middle of the space is SOO COOL. I have yet to explore but I will. 3. The bar/coffee with healthy and light eats idea is a great one. It fits many lifestyles and allows for the business to have a variety of hours and clientele. My experience was, like many, centered around a business meeting. I met a gentlemen there who on the surface seems to have completely different ideals and political goals then myself. After chatting For a bit, I found him and I to have many similar goals and politically we align on many things. The sip staff was very astute and was aware of when to enter the convo. I had a power shake (on the menu) and my comarade had a featured IPA. All in all: great service, wonderful atmosphere for conversation and business, good food choices and good for day or night. Weird because the place didn't look that busy. Would recommend they make a deal with the adjacent lot to increase their capacity. And, if you're looking for a place to get some work done (even into the late night realm) they are a fantastic place to do so with ample seating and wifi.
