I've been coming to Sip Java Co for about a year and a half now and I can't say enough good things! I'd like to comment specifically about two things: the staff, and the availability of outlets. First off, the staff there is amazing. They are attentive, quick, skilled, but mostly, they're just plain nice! Every time I come in, they've got these big smiles to welcome me and always make me feel comfortable and at home. Next, the environment. Within the last 6 months or so, they re-arranged their furniture and added more outlets and extension cords, making this coffee house one of the most work-friendly environments in South Florida. There are many tables, both small for personal work or large bench-style for collaborative, and all in all, it's a great place to get my photo editing and emails done. The WiFi is fast here and easy to log on. The shop itself is often quiet in general, and it's never too overcrowded. I pretty much go here everyday, they have great coffee, tea and food. What I like most about them is that they don't gorge the customer for all they have. They understand that retention is the key to a successful business and their prices really reflect that. They also offer a rewards system for people who frequent, so that the 10th coffee is free. There's an open face sandwich there called an avocado toast, it's so damn good. As well as the spinach croissant, amazing!! I read a lot for my work and I'm self employed so I really take my time there and read my books daily. Sometimes I stay for so long just immersed in my book, and I'm never bothered about it...the staff is so friendly and with $1 refills it's so easy to stick around. Very chill vibe there. All in all, great place to chill, read a book, have coffee and tea, quick lunch, there's free wifi. What more do you need from a coffee shop? read more

Come in every morning and get a large good karma (hot) and it's the best part of my day. I live in the surrounding buildings of Flagler village so I started coming on weekends as well. They have the coolest sandwich and snack menu. Lattes are always delicious and the staff is always friendly and courteous. Proud to call this part of my morning routine. I've been here several times so I don't know why I haven't reviewed it before but here it goes! It's located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. Sip Java has such a comfortable atmosphere. It's really small so if you plan on staying there to get some work done try to get there early. The service is always really nice. The girls are really sweet and are happy to help you if you have questions. I love that they have a wide selection of teas and beverage options. I really have nothing bad to say the only reason I'm even giving them four stars is because I really think they need to take the matcha latte off of their menu cause it's so bad. It's just hot water and matcha powder. Horribly made. Made me think I made the worst decision in my life. Okay, I'm being dramatic but seriously... I think next time if I decide to try it again I need to clarify that I want a sweet matcha latte that's more milk than water (which I don't think I need to explain) but okay. Anyway, I wish it was better cause then I'd totally have left 5 stars. If you're not looking for that but want some good coffee or tea then you found a great spot! read more

Absolutely love everything about Sip Java (minus the fact it's not as close to my house but I'll forgive that part). The staff is always super friendly and cheerful whenever I stop by and they have a fairly decent amount of coffee selections to choose from. Whatever you're in the mood for whether it's hot coffee, iced tea, or one of their signature coffees you'll always find something to satisfy your craving. My personal favorite is the electric shock which I usually get iced because of the hot weather Florida but their hot white chocolate mocha is also pretty good too. Not just coffee but they offer various pastries and snacks for you as well if you need a little something extra for your stomach. And to top it off there's usually a good amount of tables for you to do your work or catch up with old friends. Just a short ride from house, I stop by whenever I'm in the mood for a cuppa. As my optometrist, vet, local poke spot and supermarket are all there, I'm there more than I should be. The baked goods are incredible. Rich and divine without overwhelming you with sweetness. The coffee is brewed fresh throughout the day and the tea selection is great as well. My friend and I came here to try their drinks since we were spending the day in the area. The deco of the cafe was cozy and cute since they added in little decorations for Halloween. I got the matcha latte, and ended up being disappointed since it tasted more watery than milky. The only reason why I didn't give a 2 stars was because the drink my friend got was actually really good. She got the Electric Shock. It was not watered down and was not too sweet either. I didn't get any food while I was there but I saw that they offer variety of food selections. I even saw cereal cups which you don't see often at coffee shops. My mom turned me into this place because she loves to go there! This is a quant little coffee shop that has excellent mochas, chai teas and a great food selection. I love the outdoor, relaxed atmosphere and the nice comfortable seating!! It makes for a lovely place to catch up on emails or do some work on my ‍laptop‍. This is one occasion where you can get an amazing Poke Bowl across the parking lot at Poke House, and then come over here to grab a cup of coffee afterwards to study, work, or just enjoy the weather or view from the amble (for a coffee shop) outdoor seating they have available. Iced cold brew, (I believe it was Columbian cold brew); which was pretty good with two shots of expresó. We did not come in to hang out we came in to drink coffee and order a meal. Instead we were treated like a grouo of homeless people and once i did order my chai latte it was watered down and was not as tastefull as previous lattes at other locations. We sat down and were barely settled in when a representative of the establishment (Bob, I later found out who was possibly the owner or a resentment filled employee in charge) approached us and asked if we had ordered yet. I informed him we hadn't yet... the echange as follows: Bob: well you need to order something before you jump on my wifi Me: i wasnt planning on using your wifi and wasnt ready to order yet. Bob: well you really need to buy something if you are going to be here. at this point i felt slightly embarrassed by his condescending tone and the reactions of a few patrons and reacted slightly condescending myself. Me: let me ask you this sir, how much do i have to purchase if i want to stay for 30 minutes or so? Bob: you can just buy a coffee.. ! after receiving the coffees i ordered for me and my friends i went to sit down and 2 other patrons sitting at different tables expressed their disgust with the gentleman's behavior stateing how what he did was rude and how he could have approached the situation differently and mentioned they would not be returning. Maybe it was the bad taste the gentlman left in my mouth but by now there probably wasn't a drink in this green earth that would wash it away. The chai latte was slightly watered down and my friends coffee tasted like a McDonald's coffee.. Not the service nor taste i would expect from a glass front coffee house. Barrista? I really wanted to find a cafe with quality products, friendly service and good coffee. For the most part they achieved it. The decor and layout seem to work. There are chairs and tables outside to enjoy your visit as well. But where they fail is inconsistency in their service and workers. There are some really nice, professional workers there and it's great to deal with them. Unfortunately, the owner ( to no fault of his own ) has been forced to hire younger workers who don't seem to care or have an interest in providing friendly and professional service. I know it's not easy finding good workers nowadays so I will give them a pass. But it doesn't really make me want to return there. I would have wanted to come by there at least once, maybe twice a day. Fort Lauderdale is growing more and more so I'm sure these types of businesses will work themselves out. There seems to be a huge interest in cafes here that enable people, workers, students etc, to have a place to meet while having quality food and coffee. But they only way they are going to be successful is to hire a workforce that really caters to the customer ESPECIALLY for cafe style businesses. If you don't hire friendly and polite service, you will be doomed to fail or not do as well as your potential could be. Even if you have to be polite when you don't want to or re-do an order that the business has to write off. IF I have this type of business in my area, I would be extremely loyal and want them to succeed. Good luck.... read more

The coffee is delicious. I have been coming here since it was "Urban Brew" and throughout all of the changes with ownership, the lattes have remained consistent. I have no complaints about the product that Sip Java serves, however I have many complaints about customer service with the owner, Bob. (I believe his name is) I was in this morning before a doctors appointment with my girlfriend for a quick latte and breakfast, and understandably the shop was busy. The owner began taking many orders without making drinks, fine. There was a man ordering while I waited on my latte who had a small budget of a few dollars and was trying to get something to eat. When he realized it wasn't enough money, he said forget the food he would just take his juice. I've been there before where I only had a small budget for food so I offered to pay for his food. When I offered to pay for the food, the owner scoffed at me "no it's okay". I insisted, "take the money, give him the sandwich". He kept repeating "no, it's okay" (without making eye contact). The man became embarrassed as everyone was watching and said "that's okay" and ran out of the coffee shop. Tragic situation that was completely mishandled by the owner. I will be back only because location is convenient, but I will cringe at the sight of the owner due to lack of human decency. read more

The male cashier was nice, the place was clean and busy. The avocado toast was good, but my iced latte could have been better. It was quite diluted with milk (not enough espresso) and very little ice, without sugar. I asked if they could add liquid sugar, and they did. Although I'm a bit of a Starbucks addict, I'm always happy to support local small businesses. And, unlike Starbucks, the blenders are rarely running so Sip Java makes for a much quieter environment to get some work done. Also, they have free wifi and convenient parking. This place used to be better when it was Brew Urban Cafe.. Since the new owners have taken over there has been noticeable changes, such as an apathetic staff and cold coffee. The owner is not engaging towards his clientele, and the staff seem stand-offish. The ambience has degraded as well as there is rarely any music and the customers sit in complete silence. The coffee is not horrible tasting, yet the lack of an inviting atmosphere coupled with lackluster service will result in a lost customer. Will keep looking for a better coffee shop... read more

Super friendly and helpful staff! I had a red eye with cashew milk and it was so creamy and smooth. I was studying for a big test and the caffeine brought me right back to life! This was a great laugh, until I realized they were serious. They said to come back around 7pm (this was at noon). To say it's disappointing to not be able to get a basic black iced coffee at noon on a Saturday is an understatement. I am by no means a coffee guru, but the $5 latte left a lot to be desired.
