I totally can see why this place is on top of everyone's list for Pho. It tastes great, huge portion, friendly staff, good vibe and great location. Although they are not #1 Pho for my preference but I want to be fair and say they make great food with reasonable price for central location. I would totally recommend my friends here too, if they'd like some nice and elegant ambiance. My husband got Bun Bo Hue and it was great too, it's not a regular BBH but more like a fancy one with a big beef bone (you won't regret). I don't usually get this close to campus during the semester but Sip Pho is so good, I'm willing to trudge through the scooters, crappy parking, and pedestrians on their phones to dine here. It's counter service with a helpful and friendly disposition. I know some people don't love tipping for counter service but the food comes out so fast, they deliver to your table, and they do make their way to your table for to go boxes and what not so I strongly suggest showing gratitude. Everything I've had here so far has been top notch- super fresh and flavorful with huge potions. I always leave with a second meal. They also have a fantastic selection of boba teas that have the perfect amount of tapioca pearls in them. I've yet to run into a wait but I've seen them form. Went here on a Friday night at 7 and it was busy as usual. Parking is limited in front, but there's more parking in the back and street parking close by! You order at the counter and then they tell you what table to sit at so they can bring your food out. They do have outdoor seating in the back that's shaded, but still hot during the day. I love this place for pho or their rice plates if I'm downtown! The pork belly rice plate is my go to and the portion is a good size! I also always order their crème brûlée boba with matcha Thai tea. Sip Pho is my favorite pho place near UT. The restaurant has a really clean, modern, and bright interior. I ordered the beef broth pho with rare steak and brisket. The broth was pretty flavorful. What really stood out was the amount of meat in my bowl, as it was loaded with rare steak and brisket. Not sure if it's always like this, but my bowl easily had double the portion of meat compared to other pho places I've been to. Parking is a bit tough, but they have more spots around the back. We came by right when they opened so it wasn't packed but just during the 30-45 minutes we were there it got quite busy, so it's no secret that this place has amazing food, enough for 2 meals really. This place is honestly pretty good- i really liked their beef pho! However the soup tends to be a little bit greasier as they put a lot of oil especially on their bun bo hue. I honestly didn't really like their bun bo hue but the pho here is really decent. They also use the thicker noodle instead of the thin one. The matcha crem brulee boba was pretty good as well but next time i'll probably get it without the boba balls because it seemed like its been soaking for too long and not really chewy. It's been a year since I've been here, but coming back made me realize how much things have changed since then. It was packed at the restaurant as usual on a Sunday afternoon. My partner got the pho wagyu and I ordered the beef rib pho. We seated ourselves and waited for our order to come out. Normally, I'm not as nit picky but I couldn't help but noticed how the tables wasn't as clean. It had that sticky feeling to it. The silverwares seemed questionable too. Our veggies/herbs and soups came out shortly. The veggies ,not pictured, not only did not look appealing but was not fresh either. The bean sprouts had brown ends to it meaning it's at least a week old. My $18 beef rib soup was the next disappointment. For that amount, I was expecting for it to be tender. Instead, it was so tough. Even with the knife, it was hard to cut through it- because it was in a hot stone bowl. I'm not sure what happened since I last visited, but I have to sadly say the quality greatly decreased. I think the restaurant has a lot of attraction being near UT, but not enough workers to keep up with the volume of customers. As a result, quality decreased on all areas. read more

Cutest date night ever!!! The ceiling was decorated with tons of origami, perfectly highlighting the high barn style ceiling. My partner took me here after we went to a concert in the city and it was so cozy. Let's be real, we're here for the food. If you want Pho, they've got it and it is amaazinnggg. I am a person who does not leave review often but this one is a must. Hands down the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. The Wagyu beef pho we ordered came with raw beef and lukewarm even cold broth, nowhere near hot enough to cook the meat--absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. When we asked for a replacement, the waiter first offered a partial refund and a free banh mi, which we agreed to. But then another waiter came over, accused us of "disrespecting" his colleague (completely untrue), and refused to give us anything and was being very rude. In the end, we got no refund, no food, and only humiliation. This place clearly cannot handle customer feedback, the staff is rude, and the service is a joke. I have no idea how this restaurant has stayed open for five years, but I will never come back. If you are looking for someplace to get humiliated, this is your go to! read more

One of our favorite go-to spots for our family. With every opportunity, we try to bring friends or visitors to experience the deliciousness. For a Thursday dinner, there were plenty of parking (front or back lot) and seating (indoor or outdoor). The place is very clean with a nice ambiance for a meal with friends or a date! The broth was great, but the noodles were a little undercooked and the meat on the beef ribs were not tender. It was hard to eat. The service was great. I really enjoyed my experience at sip pho. Got there around 7:30lm on a Saturday and this place is packed. All the front and overflown parking are full, we had to park at the gas station across the street. They had a sign saying shortage on employee, guess that's why we are seeing a line at the registry. However, we didn't have to wait long, the line move super fast! We ordered two appetizers, pork belly buns and crab Rangoon. We both loved the bun and how much picked vegetables they loaded on it for you. Have to point out, the pork belly is not the chunky ones you normally get elsewhere, but more of a slider pork belly. That made it so much more flavorful. The crab Rangoon is good but it's not the most impressive ones that I had. The pho is really good! Delicious soup and super flavorful. I ordered flank steak and brisket. The meat has some tendon in it, but the hot soup make it all super good. The rice dish also worth a try, super flavorful meat and has tons of pickled vegetables. If you like picked vegetables as I do, should definitely try it. The rice dish also come with a soup, I think it's made out of white gourd. My mom used to make those when I was a kid, brought back a lot of memories. Definitely suggest this place, and will want to try their bham mi sandwich next time. 5/5 for a cold winter day! read more

As far as Bun Bo Hue and Pho goes, Sip Pho is one of my favorite places to come for this. The Bun Bo Hue comes with a big pork rib in it which is the first I've seen for this type of dish! I've also gotten their pho series and it has always been delicious - the meat in the pho is always so tender, the best I've had in my countless bowls of pho I've eaten. The star anise flavor is very strong in the beef pho broth but still good. The crab rangoons were the best ones I've ever had! The chili oil is very good too! Y'ALL! I had the absolute loveliest experience here today. I was literally the first person in the restaurant as they opened the door (lol) and the whole staff was so kind. They first opened at the end of Feb and then went on pandemic shutdown until now Short Rib Vermicilli ($13) I'm sure will blow your grass hat off. Grilled Vietnamese bbq flavors on untraditional cuts of meat, like short ribs, I've been in search of (also avail. at Broth & Basil btw). They kept the marinade the flavors of traditional Viet bbq which is what a lot of us are soughting after - fusion with out the compromise of traditional flavors. At least 5 pieces of short ribs and I say at least because that's all I can count from my picture. There were more buried under. Peekaboo Bugaboo! We're talking like a 12-13 inch plate or so of vermicilli noodles, sprouts, spring mix lettuce, Vietnamese pickled carrots, crushed peanuts AND an egg. Pho rare steak & brisket ($11) Meanwhile, most people are likely gonna post about the Beef Rib ($18) and Waygu ($18 - cz y'know it's Instagram), I'm sticking with the traditional pho and oh, how could I explain.The broth was on the lighter version of bold. The meats are cut ever so slightly thicker and leaner for the brisket and you get oodles of noodles. Like oodles. The rare steak was cooked the broth that came out steaming hot so recommend to order the steak on the side fo sho Shrimp Bao ($7) Shrimp was also so well marinated that it had a caramel color. Less charcoal smokiness; more marinated flavor. The baos were soft; not dense or cold. No skipping on the amount of veggies on the bao itself Boba Drinks (free) the Brown Sugar Boba is my favorite in town for the reason they can make it less sweet upon request. Some other places already premix it or worry about the look of falling sugar more that they can't compromise The boba were the extra fresh and soft. BUT... of course there's a but coming... the "but" to this post is that the flavor and authenticity of there pho, while I wish it was spot on, it's just not on par with other pho places around. I ordered the beef combo pho and while all the fixings were there and available, I thought the meat wasn't tender, the pho noodles used were your typical pho noodle experience you would have hope for, which led me to a 3/5 star rating.
