    Pad Thai with beef
    Julia C.

The restaurant is very cute. They have a wide selection of meals, desserts, and cocktails. Today I dined solo and ordered the beef pad Thai, medium spicy. The service was friendly, but tables that were seated 15 minutes after me were receiving their meals before me. I think they realized that because two separate people came to let me know that my food was coming soon. When the food came, the pad Thai was just okay. I ordered pad Thai with beef, medium spicy. The noodles were way too sweet. My portion didn't include any lime to help cut the sweetness. There was barely any spice. I have been going to Sisters Thai for 6 years, usually at their location in Fairfax near George Mason. I am not sure if I ever need to return to the Mosaic location.

I came here to try it the other day. The service was very nice although I felt a little rushed. The decor is defusing and torn, it looks well used which was disappointing. Especially the booth chairs and tables felt dirty somehow even though I could see they were clean. The food was ok, my favorite was the rose lemonade I ordered. Other than that I felt disappointed. I prefer the sisters in Tysons.

It was such a gorgeous day out, my friend and I decided to find a lunch spot with seating outside. Unsure of what to get, we stopped at Sister Thai (can't really go wrong with Thai food...). We were sat immediately (at the time of day, I don't think wait would've been an issue for either inside or out). The server was very nice, though soft spoken. After we ordered, the food didn't take long to come out. It may be because we ordered the lunch special or folks eating lunch are strapped for time, but the appetizer and entree came out at the same time. Not a big deal, but just felt rushed. My friend ordered pad thai with beef, but it came with chicken. No big deal. We made the server aware and she apologized and said she'd swap it if we'd like, but we passed. Overall, nice easy spot for when the weather is nice out. Food was relished. Lunch portion was just the right amount especially at the price (appetizer and entree for $17).

Located in cute mosaic district and really close by a Barnes and Noble. Quite good Thai food, a little on the more expensive side. The seating is a bit tight in this restaurant, though the round tables are nice to talk among the whole group. It is tight quarters though. We didn't have an insanely long wait even though it was packed on a Friday evening. I got the roast duck curry which is my usual go to. Curry sauce had amazing flavor and was quite good. The duck was a bit dry and small though. I've been to the Tyson's location before, same dish but had more meat and was juicier cuts. These were mostly thin strips of fried pieces, not many with meat. It did come with a side bowl of rice, but usually there is more curry, so you can just take it home and add it as a sauce on something else.

Amazing thai food at the Mosaic District! With a little outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather FYI spicy is actually spicy which was a nice surprise! ---crispy duck curry: yummy! The crispy duck was a perfect textural component to the curry ---drunken noodles with shrimp: also tasty, and shrimp was perfectly cooked ---curry puffs: these weren't the best, and hubby said one was cold inside, so will have to try more to find our fav appetizer

I have been here several times over the last decade and the experience is pretty standard from one time to the next. It's a cute and cozy little place with distinct character. The servers are very attentive. I've never had to wait to be seated. The menu is pretty expansive, so there's a lot of different things to choose from. I wish there was more shrimp in the fried rice. Other than that, pretty good.

I knew in advance that this place would be something great. I noticed this place doesn't take online reservations, so I was thrilled to walk in and grab a table. This location is just as dainty and cute as the others. Collectively, we ordered the following. Wonton Soup - Average. Had an unpleasant scent and aftertaste. Drunken Noodles (Combination: Chicken, Beef, Pork) - Plentiful and well plated. Very tasty! Drunken Noodles (Chicken) - Requested Medium and rec'd terribly spicy. Unable to eat. Rose Tea Lemonade - Very good. Refreshing. Overall, this visit was slightly above average. I'd visit one more time to get a true feeling. There are certainly more items I would like to try.

At Sisters Thai Mosaic District, the menu offers a polished take on familiar Thai comfort dishes, presented with a modern, approachable flair. The Crab Rangoon arrives with a satisfyingly crisp shell and a creamy, well-balanced filling--pleasant, if not particularly distinctive. More compelling is the Hae Geun (fried shrimp rolls), which deliver a flavorful crunch and prove immediately addictive. The Tom Yum Shrimp leans toward a classic interpretation, emphasizing bright sourness and gentle heat. While the broth is lighter and less complex than some traditional versions, it remains enjoyable and refreshing. A standout is the Phuket Island, where a sweet red curry envelops perfectly cooked squid and shrimp; the seafood is tender, and the sauce strikes a harmonious balance of richness and sweetness. The Spicy Eggplant with Shrimp is equally satisfying, offering depth and a pleasing savory heat. Coupled with attentive service, the overall experience is cohesive and inviting--certainly a destination worth revisiting.

The food is always consistent. The staff are friendly and on top of things. Really great spot for affordable and delicious Thai food. They also have a killer lunch special 11-3 Monday- Friday. Choose from 4 apps and a variety of entrees including classics, like drunken noodle pad, Thai and green curry.

Very friendly staff from the moment you walk in. The establishment feels like you are going into someone's living room due to the bookshelves and piano. The food was so fresh. From the appetizers. Crispy rolls pipping hot! The calamari, so tasty too! Then comes the delicious entries, sisters fired rice was the right combination of sweet and salty. Sweet because of the pineapple. The pad see ew combo was delicious! And the green curry, to die for. The taste of the fresh coconut milk was to die for. Lastly the mango sticky rice. Even though mangoes are not in season now, as the waitress told us, it was very good. I can't wait to come back.

Love this place, the restaurant itself is very cute and aesthetic, and the solid is always solid. We got a variety of apps and shared them among our party, especially enjoyed the chicken satay and spring rolls. I got the boat noodle soup with beef for my entree, really filling although the broth was on the saltier side. We finished with cappuccinos and they came out with adorable foam designs on top! Service was polite and prompt.

Dined here last night for a friend's birthday dinner. The place was packed for a Wednesday night! Decor is very modern and great for an outing. The restaurant is pretty loud and it was difficult to hear people at our same table. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and it was a good size. It was a little on the expensive side for $18. Service was attentive. They do have a $10 cake cutting fee which is annoying, just FYI. Overall, I would come here again for Thai food for special occasion.

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

But the place was pretty empty, and I think I can understand why. The food here in my opinion is below average. I ordered a medium spice level Drunken Noodles with Chicken but I swear this was Extra Spicy--this is coming from a person that has a pretty high spice tolerance. Not only that, but it had a very tangy flavor to it as well. I've never had drunken noodles be this tangy. It did not taste right at all. This is one of my go to Thai dishes that I have ordered at many many restaurants. My husband got the Kob Kun Fried Rice. His dish was okay, but sort of strange. They kind of just plopped some crab on top (see pic) and didn't actually mix it into the fried rice. The crab they put on top was kind of cold, while the rest of the dish was hot. I thought that was odd. Even then it was better than my dish. So my husband, who has an higher spice tolerance than me, offered to swap dishes with me but even he could not handle it. It was spicy in a truly unenjoyable way. This sucks because I ordered a medium and they did not take that into account at all when making it. I had to do what I very rarely do--I asked if I could kindly send the dish back and I explained my issue. They were nice enough to let me order something different. I got the green curry with chicken. Sad thing is I got this mild in an effort to not have the spice issue again. However this time, my curry was completely sweet. I do actually like some spice in my thai food so this whole experience really sucked. I feel like I've made better thai curry at home, I will not be going back.
