Such an amazing work place, everybody at six star was extremely kind to my vehicle as if it were theirs. Specially Chris, he truly took the wheel and walked me through the best possible way to go about fixing the engine in my Subaru wrx sti. I had taken it to another place, and the mechanic there clearly had no knowledge of working with Subaru cars. After rebuilding engine at prior spot, it only lasted 7 months before it started giving me problems. Thankfully I came across Chris and his team at six stars, they were so kind to let me store the car for about 8 months meanwhile I figured out what to do with the difficult situation. Finally I was able to get the money and proceeded to rebuilding the engine for the second time, but this time it was completely different. Chris and the team made sure that the car was in top shape, no leakages nor any surprises. Last week Monday the car was tuned up and it is finally ready to be used. I recently went to Six Star Motorsports to get the turbo replaced on my car and get the car tuned. Six Star did a great job and was very responsive with my questions and requests. I brought the car in on Wednesday evening and had it back by the end of the day on Friday like they promised. They ran into unexpected issues along the way, but were still able to get the car back to me on time. The work performed was very thorough. In addition to replacing the turbo, they also replaced a number of old hoses they saw were in bad shape while they were working on the car. Marvin and Mark were great to work with. Graham did the tune on my car and did an excellent job. The car runs smoother than it ever has since I bought it 7 years ago and problems I was having with the turbo are resolved. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get work done on their car, especially if you own a Subaru. They really know the WRX/STi platforms well. read more

I recently purchased a modified WRX & wanted to take it to a specialist to have a look over. I spoke with Dewey when I called for an appointment. He informed me they were moving locations and that "race season" was there busy time of the year. However he was willing to squeeze me in AFTER hours! ( These guys are all about the community!). I took the car in a few nights later and they had a look over. Thankfully everything was ok! My 2011 Burple STI had multiple exhaust leaks after sitting during COVID And install a Cobb up pipe. My Tech Jose was awesome as he needed to cut and retap so many rusted bolts and studs. Yeah it took extra time. They took me back into the shop to see all the rusty carnage, they did not need to I believed them. The guys gave me a nice discount on all the labor as it took twice as long to fix. Plus a discount on the oil change. Will return for more work at Six Star. The most skilled Subaru shop in the midwest. They do everything from simple, routine maintenance to full out record-setting high performance race cars. Sammy, the owner, is one of the most helpful, sincere shop owner's I've ever met - often spending late evenings after hours to make sure jobs are done when they need to be. These guys are perfectionists and you would be hard pressed to find another shop of this caliber. One of their techs is also a very highly skilled with Hondas, having worked in various Honda performance shops for over 10 years (I first met him when he did an engine build for my Honda Prelude when I was in high school!...I'm nearly 30 now) before coming to Six Star. Horrible customer service! I took my car there 2 weeks ago. After 3 days they told me they received the parts and the car will be ready in few days. I called today again, since they don't update me about anything unless I call them. I heard the same thing- " we received the parts and now we need to put everything together". The person who answers the phone calls gives me false information each time. He couldn' even explain to me what exactly needed to be fixed. He has no knowledge about the job. consistently superior all the way around! my wrx's clutch went out and, being in the city, i had it towed to my neighborhood mechanics thinkiing it was an easy fix of the clutch. they first told me it would cost more money than the car was worth to fix, then that their tests showed I needed a new clutch, flywheel and transmission for up to $5000. so i called six star and they fixed the car for less than half. transmission was fine. included in the cost was 2 pages of additional items needing attention, from new gaskets and ball joints to welding a pipe that had 2 large holes in it. shockingly just had the car in the neighborhood shop for oil change and full check up and they didn't catch any of the problems six star did - they email photos for proof of problem! six star is so complete, knowledgeable and have really great customer service I highly recommend them for any of your car needs. I will now be driving from chicago to schaumburg for regular general maintenance cause I know who i can trust with my car and it's six star! and the price is right too!! read more

My WRX was having knock issues that my original shop couldn't fix and had given up on. They told me my car was an anomaly and I would have to live with it. So I went to Six Star Motorsports to see if they could help. Six Star quickly located the problem and solved it. I then had Six Star setup a new tune for me with their tuner, Graham from Boosted Performance. The entire teams knowledge and ability is amazing. I am so happy with my WRX's power and and I am absolutely thrilled with how it drives. Better still, it is now completely knock free.
