On a recent trip to Maui, my friend suggested we make room in our day for brunch at Sixtytwo MarcKet in Wailuku. Headed by Chef Marc McDowell and Chef Larry Badua, the restaurant features seasonal fresh ingredients and rotates its menu every 62 days. Currently serving their spring menu, Sixtytwo MarcKet has an extensive breakfast and lunch menu that is sure to please everyone in your party. We had a delicious time and service is excellent. Standout dishes were the sweet tiramisu pancakes and crowd pleaser - Wailuku Town Stuffed Brioche French Toast. This season's variation is Meyer lemon ricotta! YUM! This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots in Maui. I enjoy the lilikoi dressing salad with mahi as well as the short rib benedict. The mahi mahi is clearly fresh and perfectly prepared (guessing sous vide?). Perfectly cooked, and I've had it 2 times already. The salad greens are well dressed and have a vibrant tangy flavor. I wanted to get breakfast at a place that was nice but not snobby and this ended up being just what I was looking for! Service was friendly and the food came pretty fast. The mocha here was the best mocha I have ever had. I got a bubble waffle for my kid and it looked good and fun to eat. I got the buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwich and I think the biscuit breading made it too dry and it was messy to eat, but the toppings were good and I could tell they use quality legit ingredients. It was a lot of food. The potatoes on the side were too bland, they should jazz those up. Prices were a bit high but that's everywhere here. I would come back to this place. read more

Great restaurant for brunch! For a long wait, this was definitely worth it. We got the corned beef and cabbage potstickers, the stuffed french toast, the short rib eggs benedict, and the breakfast sandwich. Besides the potstickers, everything was great. The potstickers tasted literally like what they are. I just thought it was a little plain and doughy. The eggs benedict were quite possibly the best eggs benedict I've ever had. The cornbread and the short rib and the sauce - everything was just good. The sandwich was exactly what you'd expect but the biscuit was pretty good which made it stand out. The french toast was great too. It was stuffed with what tasted like strawberry cream cheese and it wasn't too heavy in my opinion. I also ordered a cup of coffee and they were kind enough to come by and refill it. The coffee was solid too. It was a little noisy inside and the windows were open so we had a bit of an issue with flies but overall, it was great here. I'd definitely recommend it and come back! read more

I come here quite often and this time I was very disappointed with the food quality. I ordered the Chocolate Dubai Strawberry Crepe and I was so excited to try it as I heard so many good things about Chocolate Dubai! This restaurant always has good food so my expectations were reasonable. But it was not what I was expecting at all, the crepes were really small, and the "Chocolate Dubai" spread was barely there and it tasted like Nutella! Just the way it looks, I feel like I could've or child could make that at home! Very disappointed they would serve a dish like that for that price. read more

Read this before waiting over a hour for water...Service is terrible. We waited 45 minutes to get seated and finally got seated. However, we sat there for at least 12 minutes and was not greeted. The server went to get boxes for a table and then came back to the same table to get their check and still no eye contact from her. Then another table got their food and she checked on them. Then she came back to the other table to grab the check from the previous table. Finally she came to us and I immediately ordered. A table order after us and the same server immediately went over to bring waters within a few minutes. The crazy thing is we are sitting at the entrance where the host and server. They were not really professional when they were not assisting customers by sitting on the table and joking around with each other in front of tables... I wish the server at least updated us on how long the food would take or tell us the kitchen is backed up.. We ordered at 12:04 and had to wait 40 minutes for the pancakes to arrive. The restaurant had many guest leave by this time, so I am not sure why the food took so long. We just ordered the ube mochi pancakes and the shrimp Benedict. The food really was good I'd give it 5/5 but we got our Benedict with a hair in it. We had to go to the airport and I said we'd take it if it was done in 5 mins which it was. It makes me wonder why the food didn't come out sooner. Anyway benedict had pesto sauce and the shrimp patty was over a jalepeno corn bread. The mochi ube pancakes had pieces of mochi in it with coconut syrup on the side. In the end, it's not worth coming here. Service is terrible and when we left the door we didn't even get a thank you. Loco Moco with fried rice +$2 = BEST loco moco I have had so far in my life! Ube Pancakes with coconut syrup - Generous portions, take a look at the picture! Additionally, in the picture, I forgot what those white coconut jello cubes were... It was not good or bad, just different and something cool to mention about. Chef Larry's Daily Special Crepe - Savory Monte Cristo Crepes with Ham, Turkey, Swiss Cheese, Guava Drizzle with Breakfast potatoes +$1 - This was my least favorite dish, my daughter ordered. It was not bad, but no wow factor, something I can get on the mainland. Lastly the potatoes were of minimum quantity, very underwhelming especially for having to pay an extra $1. Atmosphere - Indoor/outdoor seating (outdoor seating is in an alley, so don't be surprised when people walk by. Shared bathroom with the other tenants in the building, but they were still clean. Street parking, no problem. This city also has public bathrooms down the block, in case you need to use it while waiting for your table or walking to the other shops. I did not use it, so I can't tell you how clean they were or not, but it is good to know. Service - Good. Price - $46.87 + tip. PARKING: starting with parking. This is the only downfall. We got lucky and found street parking on Market street. It is free. Google maps will take you to a back lot. To be honest never figured it out. All the signs said reserved but it might be ok? Best to find street. Now that's out of the way, all else is GOOD. Don't let the parking dissuade you, the food it worth it. Very unique flavors spun on traditional dishes. Definitely try the Jalapeño Shrimp Cake Benedict. Loco moco is a safe but worth it bet. Homemade patty with local beef. The Tiramisu French Toast was just ok. Maybe more of a coffee flavor and side of mascarpone would help it to be more "tiramisu forward", but still a good French toast. Seasonal sweet crepe was light and has a perfect chew. I love the open door vibe, even though it was overcast it was a really nice place to enjoy breakfast. It's always a surprise when you discover a hidden gem. That was the case with SixtyTwo MarcKet off Market Street in Wailuku. I had skipped lunch and was having a few drinks with a local buddy at a nearby bar when the hunger bug struck. My buddy's wife had suggested SixtyTwo MarcKet earlier which was around the corner from where we were at, and I'm so grateful for her recommendation. We walked over and arrived just before they closed up shop. From the menu, the Maui Cattle Loco Moco jumped out at me so I ordered for takeout. 8oz hand formed patty with 2 eggs and a wild mushroom demi glaze...need I say more?? This was quite possibly the best Loco Moco I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying! Wish I had more time in Maui or else I would've paid them a return visit, but I'll be back next time I'm in island paradise. read more

This is one of the best restaurants on Maui and everyone knows it so if you don't have a reservation and come during a peak time, be prepared to wait an hour. Chef takes care with his food. Wait staff is full of aloha. Offerings have local flair to them. I had the taro patty loco moco and my partner had the Ube pancakes. We scarfed our food down, it was so ono. Interior is beautiful wood interior with tropical vibes. I'm always happy when I step inside. Parking is available on the street but good luck. SixtyTwo Marcket EASILY takes one of my favorite breakfast places in Maui. The menu is full of amazing options from their signature eggs Benedict to their stuffed brioche french toast. The high food quality is so evident here. The loco moco was truly the best loco moco I have ever had. The meat patty just melts in your mouth with every bite. That demi glaze is unforgettable- so flavorful, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. Its hard to eat loco mocos anywhere after eating it here. The signature eggs benedict was so far from your average benedict. The cheddar jalapeno cornbread is EVERYTHING. Its so spongy, moist, and full of cheesy spicy flavor. I would order more of the corn bread alone. The eggs are poached beautifully and topped off the canadian bacon. The likoi hollandaise was unique adding just the right amount of sweetness to their dish, without being too heavy. The breakfast potatoes were delicious as well, nice crisp exterior and tender starchy interior. Thank you, SixtyTwoMarcket for setting the standard for loco mocos! First time here for brunch. Their lunch menu starts at 10am, and our reservation was at 9:30am. We were about 8min late, but they honored it, as the grace period is 15min. I tried to call, but I was unable to talk to someone. I kept getting the msg that I was unable to leave a voicemail. It is best to come early as parking is challenging to find. We were fortunate to find one nearby the restaurant. The area is definitely a different vibe from the other areas on the island of Maui. It felt less touristy and a bit more isolated and empty. Many stores were closed too. Once we arrived, we were seated right away by the entrance, so it was a bit quiet compared to the downstairs dining area (totally fine). I think placing our orders took awhile, but once the orders were placed, the food items were served shortly thereafter. My husband thought their beef loco moco was delicious, probably the best he has had on this island, is what he said. The pork and fried chicken loco mocos were also good per the rest of my family. I ordered the shrimp omelette, which was just OK. The shrimp was definitely juicy and plump, but the rest of the dish, including the side of potatoes was just mediocre. I thought the dish was a bit bland. The butter on the slice of bread, that was served with my dish was delicious though. The service was pretty good. No complaints there. read more

Love this spot! Been here a few times and the food and service is consistent. I recommend making reservations online sooner rather than later because they can fill up pretty quick and it's really easy to do. I've dined in for both breakfast and lunch and everything I've tried is really good. I also recommend coming in with people who like to share so you can taste a little bit of everything! All the workers are super friendly and pretty cheery. I even got a complimentary dessert on my birthday after they all sang for me. Love that some of their items change, just an excuse to come in more often! Parking can be a little crazy depending on when you go as Wailuku town is already stressed for stalls so plan to come a little early to find a legal parking space and/or carpool. You don't want to have an amazing meal and come out to your car towed. read more

We made reservations for breakfast for July 4th a day in advance. The food was great, crab cakes were plump and tasty. The egg Benedict was over 2 slices of corn bread instead of English muffin like Kihei cafe's. My family liked this more than the same dish we had the day before at Kihei cafe in Kihei. My kid claimed this was the best Loco Moco she's had. So we're coming back in 1-2 days for more. Special shout-out to our waitress, Marie, who was friendly and attentive. I observed the rest of the staffs and saw that they were also friendly and attentive to other tables. My teenagers also loved their play list. The indoor seating area opens up to the outside seating area, so it has an open-air feel to it, relaxing. Highly recommend. read more

Yes, the 62 is the actual street location; the "Marc" in MarcKet stands for the chef owner's first name, Marc; & the "Ket" makes it a "market," which also sells self-branded items & local products from farmers, e.g., spices, rubs, seasonings, & sauces. Easy to remember its location at 62 Market St. w/ the restaurant's name, 62 MarcKet! Opened in Dec. 2019 by chef/owner Marc McDowell, who trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York. Green plants in porcelain planters adorn the front window ledge w/ Hawaiian-style paintings on the walls. Hours of operation are: Mon to Fri 8a to 2p, Sun 9a to 1p, Sat closed. Existing nearby municipal parking lot is presently closed for repairs.
