I'm not that into french fries so I asked them to substitute with onion rings, which they gladly did. The fish, a big no for me. Tiny frozen fish that had no meat in them at all but the onion rings were excellent (I like mine well done). The service was excellent, very accommodating and very nice to speak with. It was everything I look for--clean broth, piping hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. It even had a nice spicy kick that I absolutely loved. It was so good that I promised Christian and his tía, who prepares it fresh every day and serves it seven days a week, that I'd come back the next morning to buy some. A promise made is a promise kept. The very next day, I returned and picked up a few cups of the menudo to enjoy back at my hotel, which was only about a half-mile away. If you check out my photos, you'll even see me enjoying it in my room. It was just as incredible the second time around. Experiences like this are exactly why I love supporting small, family-owned businesses.
