Good food good price ! It is my favorite restaurant!! My grandmother loved this place ; she went every weekends !!

The Salad bar is awesome. I love spaghetti and there crunchy tacos and clam chowder and fried chicken and most of there soups. But beware on the weekends for there Menudo. Smell it before you serve yourself a bowl of it. If you smell a selly smell like cow poop. That means they didn't wash the stomach from the cow very well. Yes I was wondering what was that funky smell. I thought it was probably a dirty smelly rag they cleaned the table with but then I smelled the bowl and then I knew where that smell was coming from. The service is terrible. They should just put plates out like a buffet does. Waiting for a server to come by your table for either plates or bowls or drinks or water can take forever. I had a wonderful time at the sizzler today. I had a awesome waitress. Her name is Cherrie ?She's one of the best I've ever encountered. she made us feel right at home and brought our food out as soon as it was ordered my mothers steak was cooked profession. My dad steak was cooked well done to perfection and both were very moist and juicy. I had the all you can eat salad bar and that's it but the ingredients were fresh. This review is for Ahmad who has worked there for 36 years!! I haven't dined in a loooonnngg time but seeing him brought back memories of visiting with my family when I was a kid! Dad *tear* loved dining at the Sizzler and we loved the cheesebread, taco and ice cream bar and mom liked the price on coupon weeks! We always giggled when Ahmad would come out of the kitchen yelling "hooooottt plate!" He is truly old school customer service and professionalism: anticipates what the customer wants, refills those drinks, clean plates for the salad bar and take great care of ya! Anywho, Sizzler's salad bar protocol: signage to keep masks on, given a plastic glove to use the scoops with plenty of sanitizer stations...Unfortunately, no wings (chicken nuggets only) or taco bar but offer 2 soups, chili, mini corn dogs, taquitos, and the ice cream station. If I could give this review, of Sizzlers in Hayward no stars I would. The food was horrible. The cashier tried to keep my change. I ordered two dinners to go last night. I ordered two 8 ounce sirloin steak dinners with vegetables and loaded, baked potato. The steak was dry and tasteless. The vegetables were bland. And had no flavor at all. I told them I want a loaded baked potato with Cheese, Butter, Chives, Sour Cream and Bacon Bits. The other baked potato the same but without bacon bits. They gave me a make a potato with only cheese on. This was a horrible dining experience. And I do not recommend this Sizzlers to anyone. No wonder a lot of them are closing down. This was a disappointment for paying $65.00 for a horrible dinner. I will not be returning. read more

It's been a number of years since I've been to the sizzler and I will not be going again All the food from the steaks, chicken salad bars everything is frozen and subpar food equal to or less than fast food places Their cheese bread is pure oil with some kind of weird spice on it all the foods guaranteed to make you sick and it does. I saw a number of people rushing to the bathroom halfway through their meal. Hopefully later they read about the red bad reviews and the hideous quality and chemicals in the food. Sizzlers has really gone downhill. I hate to complain but have to. Came here yesterday and was super disappointed with everything. The lemon herb chicken was the most bland and sad tasting chicken I've ever seen or tasted in my life. The broccoli cheddar soup tasted beyond terrible and none of the soups were labeled. The salad bar is very unhygienic. There were bits of bacon in the carrots. I can't believe they would serve such displeasing entrees and be OK with it. The photo of the plate can speak for itself. The salad bar is baaaaaaaaaack!!! I was craving the nostalgia of Sizzler. It's been a while since I've had it. Apparently I wasn't the only one wanting the salad bar because the restaurant was crowded. I wouldn't consider the food outstanding but it serves it's purpose. The line was short to pay at the cashier, and serve yourselves. I got the unlimited salad bar, which included a lot. Not a lot of food variety, but it's a enough to satisfy my tummy. Surprisingly the taco & clam chowder was pretty good. The eating area,and serving area was clean. Quite busy lunch area for a weekday. This was by far the worst dinning out experience in my life. The establishment was dirty, the food was cold, the toast was disgusting, the silverware and plates were sent back because they were filthy, and the server (Miguel, I believe his name was) needed additional customer service training. A long long time ago, before we had Texas Roadhouse, Sizzler's was the place to go for Steak. As a young child, I would always look forward to going to Sizzler's for their steaks and salad buffet. Recently, I passed by this Sizzler's and wanted to come back to my childhood experience. I ordered the Steak & Lobster at $28. Steak was a tri-tip cooked to medium rare. Lobster was pretty much a one-bite and a bit salty. Overall it was OK and I finished it all. Salad bar was just as I remembered it. Let me level-set for a minute. Post pandemic, we had kids back to back, and we are barely starting to trust going out with a 2 and 3 year old, much less with flu and covid precautions and awareness. Food: Was mediocre, it was edible. Bread was amazing. The salad bar.. eh. My party didn't get anything else. Service: Also mediocre. Our server, Aliza, wasn't very serviceable. She gave us our bread with a smile and then proceeded to act as if we were not there. My friend literally shouted out "i am veryyy parched.. i could use a second drink.." and such. She also loudly placed her cup down in attempt to get Aliza's attention, yet her attempt failed. Aliza also had the gall to refill other patrons drinks (4 Diet Pepsis) while walking past us. Ambiance: When we walked in, there was a male, asking to see the manager about service with their table. Love this place, so cozy. I came here w friends coz we were so disgusted going to a restaurant that was so stinky so we decided to get here nearby. You can't go wrong with salad provided it's fresh. For salad eaters you cld feel me here. Each of the different kinds were refilled here constantly. I saw someone doing that and their next refill was already on the way. There's nothing in these selection that was running out, it's always filled. But the server. Its like her mind was floating somewhere, we asked for another set of plates, and within 5 minutes she was holding it on her arms but went to another grp and just entertained them for I don't know why, n she was still holding the plates. She should be in our direction but she went another way just to mingle and talk to customers. Then we needed refills for a soda, then she cant be seen for a while. 2023 update for May Sizzler is good if you dine in person with them as the food is made great. But for some reason when you order food for delivery it's not as good as if you sat inside. It's just probably the time it takes for the food to arrive. But at least we still have a Sizzler left in the East Bay as I heard the one in Fremont was closed permanently. Ordered the Sliced Grilled Chicken Family Meal for 4 for delivery to make our Wednesday evening a bit easier with a toddler. My immediate reaction when opening the plastic delivery bag was surprise when I couldn't take out the top plastic togo container box; the bottom of it practically melted into the top of the second plastic container box, and it took effort to pry it off. The second box had practically fused together to the third and last bottom box too, and also required I pry it off. PET plastic is not heat safe for hot foods. Please stop poisoning your customers and switch to something like paper togo boxes. Maybe even polypropylene. Not PET plastic! After fresh choice and sweet tomato went down, there's not much options for AYCE salad bar. Even though the vegetable type aren't as many as those professional ones, I still appreciate the food here in Sizzler. I lived in San Leandro, used to have one in downtown but they closed after pandemic. Now I have to drive a bit further south to eat in Hayward but better than nothing. read more

Came here for a quick lunch while running errands. They desperately need more employees. I put in my order at 1:36pm. My mom ordered the salad bar and was able to immediately start eating. We didn't get any fresh plates or refills on drinks. I didn't receive my meal until 2:12pm and the steak was over cooked/ burnt. I ordered it medium. The unlimited shrimp that came with it was like warm and gooey texture on the inside. My mom had finished eating before I even got my meal, so there's that as well. I had to go back up to the front counter and ask for a refund on my meal because another 15 minutes went by before I couldn't wait any longer for our server. She apologized and just refunded my card. The restrooms are disgusting. Has a strong smell like of urine. The floors was wet and sticky. It was flies all over the restaurant. I would not recommend anyone coming to this location! read more

I used to love coming to Sizzler as a kid! I decided to go here for lunch with my friend. Lots of options for the entree's but nothing vegetarian. HOWEVER, they do have an "all you can eat" salad bar menu option. I decided to order the salmon and add on an "all you can eat" salad bar as well. Unfortunately my salmon was so hard and dry! IT WAS BASICALLY SALMON JERKY!! I wasn't in the mood to send it back so I at least tried to pick at it, couldn't eat it. How could the cook look at this rubbery piece of food and still send it out on the plate ? Anyways, 3 stars because the service was adequate, and the salad bar never fails me. read more

Since before the pandemic my family will get together and eat here. When everything got close due to the pandemic we truly miss coming here. Just recently we started to come back again. Today We came back for our second time and again the service was excellent. Ahmad was our server and He make sure We were taking care of. We did not need it to wave him or even wait for him because He was always checking with everyone if we need it anything. We come to eat with kids and anyone that had kids know! eating out is not easy with kids. My son keep asking for things and He did everything and make sure to give my son a great experience. As a kid growing up, Sizzler was always a treat on my birthday for the steak and all you can eat shrimp with cheese toast. When I was a teenager and slightly older and had my own money, I could go any time I wanted. Always loved the food. I probably haven't been to Sizzler since 2013, and it was this Sizzler that we went to back then and the food was still pretty good. I went back today and will probably never set foot in another Sizzler ever again. The Sizzler I knew from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s is gone. :( Any how, the staff was nice, so that earned them the one star. I ordered the steak and all you can eat shrimp. The steak was just a giant piece of meat salt. Over seasoned. I had a couple of bites and had to stop. The cheese toast was SO greasy, when I pushed down on it on the plate, it was like pushing down a wet sponge watching the grease ooze from the bread. The shrimp was a like a breaded grease ball with, what might be a tiny shrimp inside. My hands were covered in oil. I was still hungry but I could just not bring myself to order any more shrimp. I actually considered returning my food and asking for a partial refund (partial because I ate some shrimp, the fries, and some cheese toast). I can see now why Sizzlers are closing, the food quality has gone WAY Down. While we were there, I noticed other people eating and I would surmise they were enjoying the food, so maybe it's me, but I don't think so. Bottom line, the place is a giant greasy spoon now. The salad bar did look good though. I wished I had ordered the salad bar instead. To be fair, I did not complain to the manager or give them a chance to review the quality. Sizzler needs to shut down to say the least. Customer service was great. The young worker at the counter was no problem nor was our waitress... As soon as we approached the salad bar it was very disappointing, the lettuce looked old and other food just looked horrible. We skipped to the chicken, which is what we came for and it taste old, as if they refried days old chicken. Finally, our friendly waitress brought cheese bread and it wasn't cooked all the way, so I asked for it to be more cooked. She did try and it just wasn't doing it, my friend told me this isn't right. Both of our stomachs began to hurt and she politely asked for a refund. Which I agreed we in fact can't continue to eat this and not to mention, a $74.00 bill to get sick is outrageous! So long Sizzler! I will say no one gave my friend an issue with granting a refund, it just made me realize the manager must know this isn't right and she should have came over an apologized... She sent the waitress over with the receipt showing it's refunded and our waitress was very apologetic and nice. I let her know this wasn't her fault and tipped her. read more
