I have never seen a restaurant meal less worth it than the one we had at Sizzler a few days ago. My steak was tiny and came on a plate with two sprigs of broccoli and a piece of ordinary toast. For the price the food was as good as it gets. The patty melt served on cheese toast was fire. Tons of umami flavor from the parmesan crusted bread and the grilled onions and american cheese. Indulgent as hell but so tasty! The service was outstanding, as our server was all over our table clearing plates and refilling beverages. Ambiance is the typical Sizzlah experience, clean, kind of pub like and comfortable and welcoming. It was our first visit and we will be back! Kids ordered from the kids menu, husband had a burger and I chose the unlimited salad bar. We chose to keep it simple as it was our very first time trying Sizzler. My whole family enjoyed their meals and our server Monica was wonderful. She checked on us regularly to clear anything from our table and refilled our drinks promptly. We just wish we had extra cash on us to tip her more. Other notes: We saw many had ordered their other entrees so we'll try it next. I would recommend adding the salad bar with it. This is one of my favorite places and one of the only places in the area now for an american salad bar. Claim Jumper and Soup Plantation both offered good salad bars, but their locations have since closed down, leaving Sizzler with little to no salad bar dining competition. My favorite things here are that its always kept at 72 degrees. A great place to escape the Summer heat. The salad bar is kept up and looks nice / tastes good (I've never ordered anything else so I can't speak about the other menu items.). I always get the lemonade. Its pricey but you get a large amount and very yummy. The cheese bread that comes with the salad bar is amazing. The wait staff is good - especially Alonso, I always try to sit in his section. He checks on you and keeps dirty plates cleared off throughout your meal. Some places the waiters never bother to check on you. My only complaint is that for the price (over $50 for 2 people to have salad bar + lemonade) you should get a baked potato. The salad bar used to cost less plus included the baked potato. Now it cost more for the salad bar AND baked potato is extra. If they added the baked potato back into being included, this place would be pretty much perfect. read more

Sizzler has a special place in my heart. It's where my dad took me and my sister to when we first came to America. While most Sizzlers are kind of dingy and shady looking. The one here in Lake Forest is clean, organized, seemingly well staffed. The Sizzler near my dad's house and the one near my now fat (used to be skinny) ex gf's house are super understaffed. They have one person servicing like the whole restaurant. The Lake Forest location is definitely the best looking Sizzler you'll ever see. The servers are very nice too. My favorite is Sara. She's extra nice. Super nice. Nice times infinity. If she got a medical degree, I'd get her hired at my work. Definitely my favorite. Yes the food is mediocre compared to other places I eat but with the nostalgia feel and its cleanliness and organization compared to every other Sizzler, I gave this place an above average rating. read more

My husband and I like to drop by here when we are out and about. It's not a choice of whose turn it is to decide where we eat because there is a huge menu. Not a fancy steakhouse but it does not disappoint. The salad bar is clean and fresh and plenty of choices. We always look for Alejandra, she's quiet but very efficient. You see her scanning her station at all times and always there when you need her. I will give her 5 stars for great service. I've been coming to this sizzler for a couple of decades now and their food and the service is consistently wonderful. I don't know how they're able to cook a sirloin steak that tastes so good and is still tender. And they know how to cook the steak the way I order it - medium rare for me and medium for my wife. I'm so tired of steakhouses that either overcook or undercook their meats. The baked potatoes are fluffy and large. I'm one that loves their salad bar as well. It's always fresh and full of consistently delicious items. And to top all of this off, the ambience is cozy and enjoyable while the service is always excellent.
