Alonso was a wonderful server and the hostess was also lovely (Ashley I think). It's been over 20 years since I've even to sizzler and it was fantastic! I had the cilantro lime fish with salad bar. The salad bar was fresh, had a good variety and most all dressings were gluten free!! They were baked also which was super helpful. Restaurant was clean, and I can't wait to go back! read more

"Why would you give Sizzler 5 Stars"? I can already hear it from my fellow Yelpers. Well....here goes nothin... Back in the 90s I use to frequent two Sizzler franchises-Santa Monica and Redlands. During the summers growing up, my brother and I would practically live in Santa Monica with my nana (pictured). She had the most iconic lifestyle: bowled every morning at bay shore lanes with her team (we would wake up early and have to sit in the alley for hours and watch her bowl). If she had a night league-afterwards they would all go to the Sizzler in Santa Monica. So Sizzler was life. Fast forward to today--both the Sizzler locations I ever experienced have been demolished! Tragic! This past week I was fortunate to have my Nana stay and visit, and I wanted to treat her to the finest of the finest. Somewhere I knew her eyes would just LIGHT up....enter Lake Forest Sizzler. I will be honest-I went in with EXTREMELY low expectations. I knew it was gonna be dusty, crusty, and musty. I just wanted to go to see my grandmother smile. However, to my surprise, I was proven wrong. This location is maintained exceptionally! 5 Stars for the service-you have to pre-pay but the staff working the registers are the NICEST and most patient people ever. Our server Miguel was so sweet and consistent with getting our dirty dishes off the table. He also kept that signature cheesy breast comin!! Yassss Miguel!! 5 stars for maintenance-there was a busser wiping every thing-I honesty went out of my way to look for dust and nothing. The serving areas were constantly being wiped and there were no sauce remnants on the dressing station...I mean WOW. There was also an attendant working the salad bar who was busy keeping the salad fresh and stirring the dressings. And the lettuce that was prepared for the bar was so crisp!....I could go on and on....it was impressive. You can truly tell that management makes a huge effort in cleaning and maintaining the food and serving stations. Also-all the staff were so beyond friendly. Was this real?! It was, and I'm so glad I experienced it. We will definitely be returning! read more

Love this place! The food is always amazing. Their burgers are absolutely humongous and super filling, and the steak is flavorful, juicy, and never dry. The salad bar is consistently fresh and clean, which is a big plus. I love how they have different options ranging from salad, chicken wings, pasta, soup, nacho/taco bar, and dessert! The service is exceptional--Jose was our waiter tonight and he was fantastic. He was very attentive, refilled our drinks without us even having to ask, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Honestly, I always enjoy coming here! read more

My bf & I visit this particular Sizzler about 1-2 times a month. I find it crazy my first time at a Sizzler was back in Nov 2021 yet they have been around for much longer. I just never had the opportunity to go until now! What I love about this Sizzler is the consistency of their food. I usually get the steak + 6pcs jumbo crispy shrimp with a baked potato AND I get the salad bar as well. My steak comes out nice and tender, cooked how I like. Shrimp is always crispy. Plates are available at the salad bar vs other locations (Buena Park) where you have to request and wait for your server to bring you a clean plate. I know people are sad or upset about the whole wings thing being removed off the menu and from the salad bar. I wouldn't be able to understand because I wasn't there for it. However, I am totally ok with it because they were replaced with nuggies. And these nuggies taste VERY similar to McNuggets. Unlimited nuggies with unlimited ranch and guac!? SIGN ME UP! On our most recent visit on 02/27, I decided to try their club sandwich instead of getting steak. What I got was not a sandwich. It was more like a big chicken burger. The tomato and onion slices were HUGE. Had to take out the tomato. The chicken breast was thick but tender. It was a lot smaller than the buns so I finished the chicken first and left about 1/4 of everything else. Located in a big plaza with ample parking spaces. Interior could be updated but I don't really care too much for it. Customer service is decent. One of the servers here is really friendly and we love it when he's helping us out. His name is Alonso :) There is ONE thing I'm a little disgusted about but it's not Sizzlers fault completely. During one of our visits, we sat right next to the salad bar where we could see everything. An older gentleman wanted croutons but he was having problems getting them out the tall carafe thing. Instead of asking an employee for assistance or getting clean utensils, he reaches in with his BARE fingers and tries to pull them out one by one. Oh my goodness. Please be careful with the croutons y'all. They may be crusty for the wrong reasons. read more

Ok, this is probably the coolest Sizzler I've ever seen. I haven't been since I was a young'un so we decided to go on a whim and didn't expect much. I was wrong, DAMN it was good! My recent visit to Sizzler left me utterly dismayed and concerned about both the quality of their food and the clientele it seems to attract. While the restaurant's ambiance was decent, the horrible food overshadowed any positive aspect. The moment I took my first bite, I knew something was terribly wrong. The flavors were dull, and the dishes lacked the freshness and finesse one would expect from a reputable establishment. The presentation was lackluster, with disheveled plates that seemed hastily assembled. It was evident that the kitchen staff had little regard for the culinary arts. What truly troubled me, though, was the clientele I observed throughout my meal. I couldn't help but notice several individuals in poor health, some of whom were in wheelchairs or appeared to have experienced strokes. It raised a disconcerting question in my mind: Were these individuals drawn to this restaurant, or had their health suffered as a result of eating here? It is crucial to note that correlation does not equal causation, and I cannot definitively conclude that the restaurant is directly responsible for their patrons' health conditions. However, the sight of so many individuals in such challenging states certainly made me question whether there is a connection. As a conscientious consumer, I believe that a restaurant should prioritize the well-being of its patrons. Let me start off by saying LUPE! LUPE! LUPE !! (blonde hair) Has been my server for a while now and she was by far the best server I've EVER HAD at not only sizzler but at most restaurants I've been to !! I have been continuously coming here for years and I will continue to request Lupe everytime !! She is always so sweet, fast, always friendly and has a smile on her face :) I have unfortunately had some not so great experiences with gabby & a few of the other servers when Lupe is not there or unavailable :/ Usually the men in the front I believe managers are sometimes rude but as soon as I get to my seat it's usually a very pleasant experience thanks to Lupe :) As far as for food its usually Okay at the salad bar, but when I order a plate Lupe always makes sure my order is correct and if there is ever an inconvenience she is always quick to fix it. She makes the best Cherry Limeadess!! She brings drinks right away and is constantly checking on her tables for refills and plates. To start, I had always heard great things about sizzlers back in the day and was just waiting for a day I had an appetite to come try this location on El Toro that did not disappoint. These type of restaurants don't really cross the minds of the masses too many times, but coming here with my girlfriend was something special because we didn't really expect much. Thats why it was really outstanding to have a smiley host who was very nice as well as our server Tim who attended to us promptly and looked as if he was working really hard to give great service. This must not go unnoticed, great service is few and far between now and if you read this Tim, just know my girlfriend and I really appreciate your hospitality and it made our food and experience that much better! The food was great and both of our steaks were juicy and cooked how we asked as well as everything in the salad bar tasted fresh and as if it was not out for too long. If you're looking for a classic dining experience with all-you-can-eat soup and salad, delicious steaks and seafood, and a great atmosphere, then Sizzler in Lake Forest is the hidden gem. Although I was disappointed to miss out on the cheese toast, everything else was wonderful. The clam chowder is definitely a standout dish, and the crispy shrimp is a must-try. But the real star of the show is the garlic cheese bread, which is simply the best. It's great to see that this Sizzler location is still going strong despite the closure of so many others. The managers do an excellent job of keeping the restaurant running smoothly, and the nostalgic atmosphere is sure to bring back fond memories. My girlfriend was especially pleased to indulge in her childhood favorite, nachos. Overall, I highly recommend this top-notch Sizzler location to any fan of the chain. Sizzler in Lake Forest on El Torro, This is the second time I have gone there and witnessed the cashier wrapping the clean silverware in napkins behind the counter. The problem is, he would help customers at the cash register, then turn around and handle the silverware without washing his hands or putting on gloves. I watched him handle credit cards and cash. This is very unsanitary, the last time I complained to the manager,, he agreed with me and told the cashier he should wash his hands. Today I was there and the same, no change in the way they are handling the silverware. I complained to our waiter and asked him to tell the manager. I don't think he did, I also mentioned to him there was no hand soap in the mens restroom. They did not do any thing about that either with in the 45 minutes I was there. The salad bar and potato were good, but the steak was tough. Prices are way too high ! 18.99 for a 6 oz steak and 18.99 for the salad bar. read more

Exceptional Service from Tim at Sizzler! We recently celebrated my mother's birthday at Sizzler, and Tim was our server--and honestly, he made the entire evening extra special. Jose provides excellent customer service. He always greets you with a smile and is very welcoming. Although it gets busy, he gives you his full attention and is very efficient in his serving. I know this because I am a regular customer. Jose always remembers my order- which is the shrimp dinner :) Also, Lupe is a kind server and very friendly. She is very upbeat and recognizes me and my family whenever I come. Both are hard workers, and our family appreciates them. Both handle heavy trays and multiple meals, and they do this with ease. Disappointed. Got the fish and chips lunch special for 14.99 no salad bar, and it was just 2 depressing over breaded fish sticks on a pile of fries. Couldnt even finish the fries. My stomach super unhappy with that lunch. The only mac and cheese available is on the kids meal with the salad bar- its just a big spoonful of obvious kraft mac and cheese, not even real food. My daughter grabbed chicken tenders at the salad bar to find they had bones, and were mostly bread. So weird. Im glad I didnt pay extra for the salad bar. All they had was salad, make your own sad tacos, and pale orange chicken I was not brave enough to try. 2 sad mostly fake food lunches about $39. Made me miss soupplantaion so much. read more

It's been several years since I ate at this Sizzler. When I walked in, I was very pleasantly surprised at the decor and ambiance. The menu looked fantastic and it was difficult deciding what to order. After making my selection, I was escorted to my table and met my server, Tim. Yes, the food was incredible! I was amazed at the quality based on the extremely reasonable prices. However, what made the meal so special was the unbelievable service that I received from Tim. He was extremely kind, helpful, and dedicated to his job. He went the extra mile to make my friend and I feel welcomed. I can't speak highly enough about Tim and the service that I received. I stood by the menu boards for over 10 minutes trying to decide. It has been years since I ate at a Sizzler. Across the lot there's a BBQ place that added to my dilemma. Decided to stay and ordered the second highest price, steak and lobster. Steak was only ok... I don't understand how the quality they boast can be so tough.. The lobster was not cooked, it was still gelatinous inside, so I sent it back. Whatever happened to the tasty pamesan butter toast and fluffy baked potatoes that made Sizzler famous??? I went there today to celebrate my new car, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience! The place was very clean, and the staff were polite, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The wait time was actually quite good, which made the experience even better. The steak was delicious and well-cooked, although the portion was a bit small for the price. The salad bar had a nice variety of fresh options, which I really liked. My family and I dine here regularly with my in-laws. We are very happy with the friendly staff and servers here. We are always greeted warmly by the cashiers and we receive excellent service from the servers. We often have the pleasure of having Jose as our server and I just cannot say enough about how nice he is. He makes sure we have everything we need throughout the entire meal. I haven't been to sizzler again for ages. It is because I had a bad eating experience at other Sizzlers in Berkeley. Since this location was recently remodeled I figured it was about time to return. My family and I stopped here last weekend. The staffs were wonderful. they have good food and is affordable. It's really better than what I have had at other Sizzlers. I ordered the tri tip that was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked to my liking, so that it didn't need any sauce to cover up the blandness. Very nice Gentleman that looked after us during our dinner experience. He is a very kind, attentive, polite Sir with manners that make me wish I had. We went to Sizzler at this location for Teddy's birthday. We ordered a salad bar and two triplelicious plates. (which consisted of sirloin steak, fried shrimp, and BBQ ribs!) Which were all so tasty. We ordered the sides of baked potatoes and they were amazing, and all arrived very quickly. Our server's name was Monica, and she was very attentive and friendly.
