When you're selling a classic "restored" car, it should not look like a 50 year old vehicle. Gauges not working, turn signals not working, no information on the engine, suspension from the 70s, and there's was more wrong. This place may be ok for newer vehicles. However, if you're looking for a classic vehicle, look somewhere else. UPDATE: Since the reply to my original post wants to try to discredit my concerns, I guess now I'll justify a little more. First, the add no longer says "No expense was spared". Also, now states "older restoration". Looking at the pictures, from the same add mind you, is it 1 of 134 or 1 of 324? A list, or explanation of what was "restored" may help. As far as driving the car. The reply was 100% correct. No restore is perfect. Therefore, even if the body needs some work, you still drive the car. You don't know if gauges work, how the suspension feels, or if there are any wobbles or noises without driving. If it runs excellent, and everything works as it should, you then decide if the investment is worth the money needed to get it to where it needs to be. I'm not going to continue justifying my review. Please, go see the car. I can send you the original add for the car to compare. A more professional response would have been something like. "I'm sorry the vehicle didn't meet your expectations. We pride ourselves in depicting our vehicles in a true, straightforward manner. We will review the add and make any needed changes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to doing business with you in the future."

On Monday, July 27, during one of the worst storms in the Midwest, I visited the dealership to purchase a 2018 Nissan Sentra listed for $5,000. I test drove the vehicle, decided to buy it, and was ready to complete the purchase. Unfortunately, the dealership lost power due to the storm, making it impossible to finish the paperwork. I waited for about an hour before leaving because there was still no power. The following morning, I stayed in contact with my salesperson, Hashem, who informed me the dealership was still without power. We agreed that I would return Wednesday after work to complete the purchase. Then, just five minutes before I got off work on Wednesday, I received a call informing me the car had been sold to someone else. This is what makes the situation so frustrating. We communicated on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and at no point did anyone place a hold on the vehicle, even though I had already test driven it, committed to purchasing it, and the only reason the sale wasn't completed was because the dealership had no electricity. A simple "sold pending" sign or a hold for a customer who was actively working with the dealership would have shown basic professionalism and respect. Instead, I wasted multiple days, rearranged my schedule, and got my hopes up for nothing. I left feeling misled, disappointed, and completely undervalued as a customer. Unexpected circumstances like a power outage aren't the dealership's fault. However, how they handled the situation afterward absolutely was. Customer service is about communication, follow-through, and doing right by people. In my experience, Kunes Chevrolet failed on all three. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this dealership based on how my purchase was handled.

Unfortunately my car wasn't worth salvaging, and he even helped me out there. You can tell by talking to him that he cares about the customer and just really just loves to work on cars, and isn't out to take all your money, which I really, really appreciate, especially in this industry. You'll see on their website that their motto is "Where Customers Become Friends". You know how sometimes you'll read hokey stuff like that and just kinda wave it off? This is truly a place where you'll feel that way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They even do scheduled maintenances -- if I can't get to my dealer, I would more than trust Wayne with my new car.
