The food was good but you have to pay valet, the menu didn't include everything listed online and the staff seemed a little oblivious to customers waiting on need of service; let me emphasize, not rude, just unaware. The air fresher was so overwhelming that I actually got a little nauseous. While the Servian coffee flavor was on point, it was full of coffee grounds. It took a long time to get service; I was there over an hour and only ate for about 12 minutes tops. Lastly, I came because I saw burek on their online menu but in the restaurant, it wasn't listed. I ordered it to go; it was rather small for the price. I think I rather make the treck elsewhere to get burek.

Since my friend and I had never had Serbian food, we tried this place before going to the arcade down the street. The vibe of the restaurant was a little confusing. The atmosphere seems like a rather formal restaurant, but there are also giant TVs showing soccer matches. A piano is also in the space for live music at night, apparently. Most of the other customers were men, except a family with a small child, at the time we were there. The menu is extensive, including a number of dishes "for two," one of which we selected (boemski mixed plate) which consisted of various grilled meats and sausages, mushrooms, french fries topped with feta cheese, and toasted bread with cheese spreads and a red pepper pesto-type sauce. (We did a lot of googling menu items as they weren't always explained/described). The meal was tasty and we definitely had leftovers. A lot of meat! I felt like i needed a salad later. Overall, this seems to be a place that has many regulars; if you are looking for Balkan cuisine, you may become one!

We came here after doing some work at ours friends new house, a treat for all the work, very nice. We started with a plate filled with grilled calamari with lemon, balsamic vinegar and cocktail sauce. The calamari was made to perfection and our server was just amazing, he kept my tea filled, and paid great attention to our table. We decided to split a sandwich, for my wife and myself, good choice as the sandwich was bigger than normal. We ordered the Serbian sandwich, see pictures, that was half of the sandwich. It comes with different meats and homemade cheese, that was super good and filling too. Our friends ordered the mixed grill platter and it looked like an order from Bedrock and that big, see pictures. The platter had kabobs and sausages with cheeses from region near Serbia. We will be enjoying items from their menu in the future and really enjoying the good times ahead.

I came here with a small group of ladies for a bittersweet going away dinner for one of my friends. We visited during a week night a few weeks ago. We had requested seating outside but when we arrived, they had one inside prepped for us. That was a bummer because it wasn't communicated to us ahead of time and there's obvious reasons why people want to solely dine outside during this time. To start, I got a glass of Chardonnay and we ordered some apps which included: calamari, grilled feta, and the stuffed mushrooms. The grilled feta plate was so fresh and I liked the flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were also very flavorful but weren't hot when they were served so that was a bummer. For an entree, we loved the feta app so we got the greek salad and split the branzino fish. The fish was cooked well but I wasn't aware that it was going to be served completely bone-in. Regardless, it tasted fresh and was served hot with grilled veggies. The fish was on the pricer side at $26 and I'm not sure I would order it again. For dessert, we ordered the dessert crepes. These crepes were my favorite thing we ordered. They were cooked well, with a tiny crunch on the edges and the nutella hit the sweet spot. Overall, we had a nice time here. Something they could have done differently: communicate our table placement ahead of time and to ensure all their staff is wearing their masks properly (nose inside the mask.) During these times, customers really want to see the entire staff is following proper healthy and safety standards.

"Mixed Plate for 2 People" - bring your appetite!

If you can resist the temptation to fill up on hot dogs, popcorn, etc. at nearby Brookfield Zoo, reward yourself with a hearty meal at this upscale ethnic eatery. Our midday repast began with tasty Serbian-style bread accompanied by two different cheese spreads. Bowls of chicken noodle soup (included in the entrée price) arrived next. For our entrée, the Missus and I shared the "Mixed Plate for 2 People." The huge oval platter was heaped with enough roasted/grilled chicken, sausage, beef and pork to satisfy 4 hungry people. Everything was delish, though not as juicy or tender as you might expect. For $11 per person (at the time of this writing), this shared entrée is an excellent value. We bagged up nearly half of our food to enjoy at home. For less-adventurous diners, the kitchen also whips up good American food including burgers and club sandwiches. Our server, efficient and all smiles, took the time to answer our many questions about foods that were new to us. He later surprised our party with a complimentary dessert for all to share.

Said it's what they grew up with and they've not had better. The friend I was traveling with was on board so it's how we both ended up having Serbian in Chicago. Lots of parking. Small private lot. Street parking galore. It was a sleepy evening. There was only one party (of four) when we went in. I have to admit, I was skeptical. But the aroma wafting from the kitchen ... My friend and I shared everything. Generous portions. I stuffed myself beyond what I should have. But I couldn't get enough of the grilled meats and roasted vegetables. I could have eaten nothing but the lepinja and kajmak but putting them altogether was so tasty that I just kept eating and eating. The one woman show - she was awesome. Not much English but wasn't needed. She was so pleasant and welcoming and the barrier wasn't an issue - at least for me. As she was a one person team FOH, there were times I wondered if she was also in the back cooking as she would be gone here and there but would show up right when she was needed. I don't know of many Serbian restaurants here in SoCal but when I do (and remember that is), I'll definitely go and see if it compares. I just know it was an excellent meal on my last evening in Chicago for my summer road trip.

The good news is that they have late hours, they don't close at 8 pm like most places. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food portions were very generous, you will have leftovers for sure. Prices are very typical of this cuisine. You'll have to walk up the steps to go inside. I ordered the cup so it looks like a bowl size. -tripe soup 5 - this is a good soup. We got the cup size, it's good for a cold night. -Polish plate number 2 5 - it comes with two stuffed cabbage rolls, Polish sausage, 6 meat pierogis, and dumplings. You can choose your side. I chose dumplings. Everything was delicious. Polish sausage was tender and juicy. Cabbage rolls and pierogis were fully cooked. -Bavarian style pork shank 5 - you get two humongous pieces of pork shank and the meat falls easily off the bone. It was very tender.

Not sure what happened with other experiences because for us, the gravy was great! It was tasty and thick enough but definitely not gloppy. I was told the dumplings are homemade and you can tell! So light and fluffy! I didn't have the sauerkraut but instead had the cucumber salad. This was not a creamy salad as I'm used to but a light, sweet with just enough sour vinaigrette type sauce it was delightful! My friend had a similar meal but with no duck. She loved it. We started out with superb liver-dumpling soup and finished with a perfect and homemade kolacky! Washed it all down with a tasty Czech beer. It was a wonderful meal. I cannot forget out knowledgeable and doting server, Agnes. The busboy was around every few minutes to clear spent plates and drinks. In other words, service was top-notch. The food tastes homemade and prepared with so much care and love. My daughter completely fell in love with the syrniki -- they were honestly some of the best we've had. I also tried the pumpkin soup, which instantly became my favorite. My husband ordered the Nordic omelet, and when my husband compliments food, trust me, that's the highest praise possible! One of the biggest highlights for us is the amazing play area for kids. Anyone who has breakfast with young children knows that once they're done eating, they want to run and play. Here, kids have a beautiful playroom where they can have fun while parents can actually relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Another thing we really appreciated was the wonderful staff. The girls who served us were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was especially helpful that they spoke both English and Russian. My daughter doesn't speak much English yet, and my husband doesn't speak Russian, so having staff who could communicate with both of them made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. And a special thank you to the owners for being open on Mondays! So many places in Long Grove are closed at the beginning of the week, and it's such a treat to have somewhere cozy to enjoy a great breakfast. Highly recommend Fluffy Bunny to anyone looking for delicious food, great coffee, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a place that genuinely makes you feel at home.
