I normally go to Skeets for beer and watching games in the bar area, but I have had some of the food. It isn't spectacular BBQ but it is good and the price is right. I enjoy the free pool and lots of televisions. They still allow smoking in the bar area as they are not in Pearland city limits. This doesn't bother me as the ventilation is pretty good, and I like to feel like I am in a bar when I'm in a bar. read more

We love this place. There are two closer BBQ places to where we live, but we will drive to Skeets every time. The food is always tasty and there's plenty of it. The service is super quick - I drive there for pick up and I will be in and out in not much more than five mins. The only reason I have not given five stars is because the ribs are sometimes not as tender as they could be, but mostly they are great. read more

Killen's may have taken over BBQ in Pearland, heck even in Houston, but I still like coming to Skeets to get a good stuffed potato for lunch. OK, so it may be one ice cream scoop of butter, half a pound of cheese, and it can get soupy really fast if you let them top it off BBQ sauce, but what keeps bringing me back is the soft potato and the chopped beef I always get on it. I am not a fan of fatty meats and their brisket is pretty lean, while still being moist. I can't vouch for anything else on their menu, because I only always get the stuffed potato with chopped beef when I come here, but you can bet I'll be here instead of Killen's on some days to fill my potato void. read more

I finally had a chance to try this place: found it to be great. Ordered by phone for pickup and between the three of us, I got to sample a good number of different dishes. Beef brisket was very good! No sauce needed to let this smoky flavor work on it's own. Sausage was very good as well. Pulled pork was okay. For me, it needed some sauce or something. The portions were also good in size. The service is horrible and as dry as the sliced beef. The onion bun my husband was given was hard and cold. When he asked if he could get a new bun or regular bread the manager told him well that's what we have. Didn't offer to try a new bun or make it up to him. My baked potato was dry and even adding the fixins it was still dry. I asked for extra butter and sour cream and guess what he charged me for it. We will never go back here. I had been here a few times, but never again! I found out from someone that worked there that their BBQ sauce is made from the fat that comes off of the brisket! mixed with regular BBQ sauce. The past plates I have received were dry turkey & brisket slices with horrible tasting sides as well. The customer service there was bad to of course, not surprising. The employees were playing around while there was a big line waiting! The most horrible/disgusting part of it all was knowing how perverted those workers are. Pricing is ridiculously HIGH! I recommend Texas Central BBQ :) it only 15 min from this bad restaurant. & reasonably priced & great food. Came here for lunch yesterday and ordered a baked potato with chopped beef. The baked potato itself was good but the BBQ sauce was very weird. The smell from the bar scene the night before is quite disturbing. It's hard to enjoy your food when all you smell is cigarette smoke. Also, the restaurant itself just seemed very dirty. After spending over $100 in food. the way they treat customers is not even the lowest level possible of courtesy!! I went there with my family and I ordered brisket lean meat... LEAN. I told the meat cutter make sure there is no fat on it. the light is to poor in that place that I was not able to see the meet real well. when we finally sat down to eat and I ate the first bite the first think I felt in my mouth was the fat. spitted it out and got another bite and again fat. I got up and told the meat cutter that I asked him for lean meat. he said he gave me lean meat. I told him no this has fat on it I need lean. he cut it but he didn't put it in the plate he waited for the I guess manager to come and authorize; the manager came and grabbed my plate and while the cutter was telling him that he gave me lean meat but has some fat on top he push the plate towards me and pick up the two part of brisket and said. this is the lean meat and this is the fat . I went and said ok give me lean meat no fat. he said we already did and a rude way. and then I said ok then give me my money back. he didn't hesitate and I bet he even was glad. I went to my table to grab the card and I waited for a few moments to get to the register. at that time he asked me for my receipt, he made me go back to my table to get the receipt by that time I was infuriated and I threw the receipt on the counter, he dare to said to me that is no the way to treat him!! and I just let him have it. that is not the way to treat customers; customers made that business possible and their paycheck. no apologies no repented attitude no nothing. I left that place starving and very angry just because of a fool that preferred to lose a customer, than a little more meat; well cut. He lose the meat anyway the one they badly cut. I will call the supervisor in the morning to complaint. that is not the way to treat customers!!! read more

Mondays and Fridays are the days to make Skeets your choice for dinner. On those evenings, they offer a ribeye and baked potato special for only $14.95. This special has been running for some time and, for now at least, seems like it will continue. They used to grill them on pits set up on the sidewalk outside their doors, but now they seem to have moved everything inside. Steaks are cooked to order and, like with any mid-grade steak restaurant, the quality of the cut varies. But the flavor is usually very good, and the fully loaded baked potato that comes on the side make this a great value. Prices on other a la carte sides are high for the market, and sodas will add $2.00 or more per drink to your tab. Worth checking into if you're too far from Killen's and not a fan of Saltgrass or Longhorn. read more

Downright DISGUSTING! I tried it TWICE - first time I ordered a baked potato. It sucked. The sauce had a tangy taste, but no sweetness - I like a good mix. The potato was a bit overcooked plus it was way too small for the price! So my sister convinces me to go a second time so she could try it - we ordered a chopped beef sandwich this time around - same thing! Tangy sauce and poorly seasoned meat were HUGE disappointments.
