I made a yelp account because my experience at this ski-pro location was just that great. It was such an experience due to the interaction I had with an employee by the name of, Jeff. I am usually a nervous person, and getting into a situation where I need to interact with a stranger really spikes my anxiety. That anxiety was soothed in minuets when I came in Thursday with some questions about heel/toe overhang and the overall fit of snowboard boots. Jeff fielded these questions and made me feel like I was talking to a close friend. He was incredibly chill, educated and professional. It is rare that I have an opportunity to talk snowboards with someone, but it is a great passion of mine and Jeff gave me that opportunity while I was getting a set of boots fitted. He showed a level of stoke for me when I told him about my new set up, and he inquired about the style of riding I like to do and how long I have been doing it. Not one single moment of the whole process did I feel like I was just 'another costumer' in the shop. Another thing that I feel should be noted, is that in this process of Jeff and I talking, and quite frankly him educating me in the most genuine way, he also attended to other costumers and made them feel at home as well. He initiated conversations that included everyone, and it was evident that the other costumer was also excited to talk about snowboarding and was stoked that he had the opportunity to do it. I went home after that experience and was just so excited for winter to come, and honestly I think that is a special thing for an employee to be able to do for a costumer. So this location is slightly closer than to my house than the Phx location but employees at both locations are complete dicks. I asked an employee to hand wax my new deck at this location and he told me I didn't need it and refused me. I'm sorry broesph, but I'm riding for the next 6 straight days, wax my god-damn deck. The Phx location employee gave me tons of attitude when I asked to see some higher quality stomp pads, than the $5 ones that break after two runs. A group of us rented gear for a weekend trip and I found the online rental process super convenient, the staff was nice and helpful and the return process was super painless! Knowing what you need is important, but they have beginner packages with boots, bindings, and boards. You can't reserve any winter clothes and they don't do helmets, gloves, or goggles, but there were plenty of jackets and pants that we could rent when we showed up to pick up our other stuff. A jacket, helmet, goggles, etc. They have such a wide selection to choose from that it was hard to decide which kind of product that I wanted to buy. I have been in dire need of new snowboard boots and was suggested to come in by Tim Backis, an employee at this location. Tim was not working when I came by, but a young lady by the name of Camille assisted me. I have been riding for 20 years and have always leaned toward Burton products. I came in with my mind set on a pair of Burton boots. Camille ended up showing me a couple of different boots, based on what I told her I was wanting and looking for in a boot. I looked at a pair of Ride boots, Burtons, and she also suggested a Salomon. Long story short, and to my surprise, I ended up going with a pair of Salomon Ivy's! Camille provided great customer service. I think the most important thing to point out is that she listened to what I wanted and gave recommendations based on features, rather than sway me toward any particular brand, style, or price. Unfortunately I decided to buy my first snow outfit from Ski Pro. I usually rent boards from them and have received fine service but this time buying a 500$ outfit I am receiving no help after my pants have ripped on the first day of use. I had the receipt, brought them back within 24 hours, and didn't do anything reckless with the product that would've led them to tearing in the way they did. I have been informed that any tears that aren't directly on the seams of the products are not subject for warranties and that I am shit out of luck! The manager Austin has directly let me know that there is nothing that Ski Pro or the retailer can do in order to help me. After contacting the retailer directly I now understand that I am able to get a full refund from them and they have decided to help me. Ski Pro is not only unhelpful, but they also do not care about the experience you have with any of their products that they sell 3rd party. Austin was extremely unhelpful and gave me incorrect information. Him telling me he would be unable to do anything and advise me to just put a patch on the pants is not extremely false but offensive because the retailer has accepted my personal warranty claim and is refunding me for my entire purchase. Thanks ski pro for your false info, shitty managers, and ur inability to help a customer who would have continued to use your services but now will not be. read more

I wanted to purchase ski's for a teenage boy that was not at the store with me. While he is an avid skier I am not. Matt spent over an hour with me 1) finding out exactly what type of skier the teenager is, and 2) explaining my options along with the pros and cons of each option. Really love this place! They have an amazing selection of snow sport, water sport, and skating gear. The merchandise is a little expensive, but the quality is superb and worth it. They have great sales too and if you come at the right time, when the sport is off season, you can really find some great deals. The staff is always very helpful as well and will answer any questions you may have. They are sometimes a little slow at the register, but it's a big store and this location, in particular, is very popular. read more

So the feel when you first come into this store is high school. All the stickers and post magazine psuedo graffitti gives the hints the crew that works there are a bit on the younger side but then again shredding the gnar with fluffy stuff everywhere is what it's all about. The staff seemed really knowledgable about gear, clothing and tuning gear. Braeden was super helpful in helping be locate the tuning kit I needed and had it shipped from another store on the fly. Totally appreciated it and have been sending everything from snow bunny rentals to the seasoned brosef for snowboarding needs. read more

My visit started off good, i had purchased some screws for my binding and then started to look at some boots. The Manager at the time asked me what my price range was i said i was just going to try some on and get my size. He then told me that "if i wasn't going to spend money why would he help me". That is no way to treat a returning customer. He wouldn't even tell me my size. I had also wanted to find a nice pair of googles but didn't even get that far along in my shopping experience. Ski Pro has provided one of the best shopping experience I've had for snow equipment. The managers here, Julian and Nik are very friendly and knowledgable. I came in not knowing exactly what I needed or wanted and they help personalized a snowboard set for myself. Nik even installed my bindings on my board and gave a thorough demonstration on how to adjust my settings. The prices are just right compared to many retailers and what many larger retailers lack that they have is customer service. I highly recommended checking this place out. read more

First snow of the season in Arizona this weekend.... went to check out the website, as I like to shop local.... I'm a pear shaped woman... I require a size xl in snowboard pants. I want something cute, no luck...every pant I looked at....Ride, 686, DC....all not available in XL...Did I mention they are all current season items I'm looking at.....I would understand if I was trying to get a deal... the website clearly has a size chart for each brand and the measurements for XL are clearly stated on the size chart.... but there are no XL SIZES available to purchase.
