Best brunch place in Hesperia hands down. Great home like feeling and the food is great.

We've come here several times with our kids. This is a cute and quaint place but it's also tiny and there is usually a long wait to get seated. The servers are always super busy and rushed which is very frustrating. I always feel guilty asking them for anything and that's not how it should be in a restaurant. They definitely need more servers or to take chill pills and slow down. The food is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Large portions. read more

This place is just okay to me. Food is a bit flavorless but they give you your money worth. I always order the steak and eggs breakfast and my husband gets the Mexican skillet (I think that's the name) or sometimes he gets a breakfast steak burrito. My steak and eggs are average. The eggs don't seem to be freshly cracked and the steak is cooked fine but like I said earlier, flavorless. My husband skillet is a big portion but again, you will need to add something to it. I will eat here again but it is really by default because it's so close to my house. Wish I cooked more....NOT!! read more

Great food at good prices, mom n pops style food (country). The French toast is good and so are the pancakes. But my personal favorite is the cream of wheat, it's delicious especially with brown sugar, butter and some fresh milk. Which is all provided with your order of course. Now the place is really small so there might be a wait but worth it, beside for breakfast there really isn't any other choice close by. Haha read more

Wonderful little breakfast spot in Hesperia. The entire staff was pleasant and welcoming the second we walked in the door. We chose to share the skillet #2 with biscuits and gravy. The skillet was delicious. The combination of tomatoes, bell peppers, eggs, ham, sausage and cheese over perfectly cooked hash browns was on point. The biscuit was soft and fluffy and did not get soggy under the gravy. The gravy had a little too much pepper for my liking, but that did not stop us from inhaling it. Skillet Too did not sacrifice the quality of flavor for the quantity. Best of both worlds. I loved the old fashion decor and small layout of the restaurant. You never have to wait to get someone's attention. Very clean, I saw one of the waitresses wiping down the chairs and tables in between customers. Will definitely come back again. read more

We thought we'd try this place out a late morning after reading a great review about it in the local newspaper. Small place & nothing inside fancy.... because your there to eat . Big Breakfast menu decent size lunch options. Skillets are obviously their speciality & at that very good & filling . Wife had a turkey melt sandwich that was loaded with tender turkey. Son a burger that he loved. Food came out quick and hot . Employees were very friendly with great service . We will be back! read more

Nice change of pace. Don't come here expecting the IHOP/Denny's experience. Nice people, just 3 of 'em in there. BIG PORTIONS. Rib sticker stuff. Average price, but great value. You get 2x the food for the same price as a normal restaurant chain. read more

Went Monday for lunch, the hamburger special is always very good. I ordered the hamburger special, they have fried pickles now for 99 cents extra. I decided to try them. I have had fried pickles before and liked them. The hamburger was great as usual but the fried pickles weren't good. Tasted like they were cooked in oil that fish had been cooked in. I got Montezuma's revenge right away. I definitely won't order the fried pickles again, but they definitely still have a Great Hamburger Special! read more

My boyfriend got the 'demolition skillet' he said it was great. I got the full order of bisucts and gravy, and they are AMAZING. The buscits are berry fluffy and the gravy is very flavorful as well. My first visit to Skilled too was not the best experience. I ordered the tacos skillet. My friends ordered on a separate ticket. They got their order, and the waitress forgot my order. She brought the biscuit and gravy, which was from a package.....not much flavor, kind of watery. The tacos skillet came. It looked good,with avacado, sour cream,and chopped tomatoes,and ground beef,on hashbrowns. The sad part was no tacos flavor. For a total cost of almost ten dollars,I was very disappointed,and most likely will not return. read more

I discovered this jewel just over a year ago. Go a couple times a week when getting together with a friend just before art classes, and will either take spouse or go alone for breakfast or lunch at other times. Very affordable, good food and very nice help. Love their pastrami dip, fish and chips on Fridays, burger special, and their chicken fried steak for breakfast is yummy too (I always take half of it home).Highly recommend this for a casual meal with or without friends. The Hostess, Haley was very warm and welcoming. She should have been our waitress. The waitress (Jenny) we had, was cold and didn't want to be bothered with waitressing our table. When our order was delivered, (Jenny) practically dropped the dishes in front of us, walked off, and never bothered to check with us again. The Hostess, Haley acted more the great waitress than the waitress herself. As far as food, it's was overpriced and extremely bland. The biscuit and gravy were over peppered, and portions were skimpy. Overall I give it a MEH and BLAH! rating (with the exception of the Hostess. Haley you get kudos for doing an excellent job). I've been to the Skillet Café in Phelan. The staff, and food are far superior to the one in Hesperia. read more

A friend invite me here for lunch, it was a little place in the stater bros shopping center, but the meal is big and load, I had the old country fried steak with extra crispy hash brown, really fill up the hunger in me. best value for the price. would definitely come here again soon. also the waiter is super friendly. read more

This is a little corner cafe that seems pretty good from the outside. Sign is a bit deceiving... the portion was not too big for the price. Coffee was priced too high for the taste. I've had better coffee done by my 7 Y/O. The steak was bland and without flavor. Good spot for old folks though. The wait time was HORRIBLE !! Not worth the money and time read more
