Ordered delivery so fish was a bit lukewarm and softer than expected. Bowl was mostly filled with rice and not a lot of toppings. Portions are small for the price and not enough sauce either.

Stopped by Skipjack Poke Co. for dinner and decided to build my own poke plate (BYOP) with white rice, kale salad, and a mix of salmon and tuna. The place was pretty quiet during dinner hours--definitely seems like more of a lunch or DoorDash-type spot catering to nearby offices. The ingredients were fresh, and the sauce portions were fair. The staff was friendly and made sure I understood how to customize and mix everything properly, which was a nice touch. Overall, it's a clean and simple poke spot that gets the job done--nothing fancy, but solid for a quick, casual meal if you're in the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch from Skipjack today! I'd been wanting to try this place for a while, and when the boss said lunch was on him today--I knew exactly where to order! I ordered on DoorDash for delivery because I'm not wanting to brave these windy conditions! I ordered a regular Signature Skipjack which comes with tuna, edamame, and cilantro in their house sauce, along with imitation crab, seaweed salad, masago, green onions, ginger, and wasabi. It's also drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo and served on a bed of white rice. It was delicious and the regular size is a generous portion. Everything was fresh and very flavorful! I would order from here again. Stay safe out there, friends!

    Doesn't it look scrumptious;)

Why is the miso soup $4.50 for the same pre-made machine that's in every poke restaurant? The scale measuring my already stingy portion of protein makes me feel a way. (I get the business perspective of standardizing things but as a consumer it makes me feel like you don't want to give me the most important part of the meal.) They're open early (10:30am) if your lunch needs to be early. There are definitely better poke places (& I'd imagine worse) but it's worth a try if you have no other healthy options.

I have been here 3 times so far. It's a relatively small place and especially at lunch time, the line can be long. But service has been pretty fast and friendly. I usually get the regular "build your own" bowl with 2 scoops of protein for $15.50 (16.70 after tax). The portion is generous and the ingredients/toppings are fresh. I'll definitely go back.

My go to poke spot when I'm in the Rancho or Ontario area. Good service and even better food! Always fresh and delicious so good that some days I find myself craving it

SHRINK-FLATION hitting hard: The "large" plate on the left looking like a "regular" plate on the right.

Whoa....what happened SKIPJACK?!? Our office has been coming here, once a week, since you opened (years ago),....and we have noticed a decline in both quality and quantity in the past few months. :( Yes, your prices have stayed steady, but don't think that we haven't noticed that your servings have shrunk.... talk about SHRINK'FLATION. one of my teammates got a 'regular-size' plate and as usual, I ordered my "large-sized" plate of salmon&tuna and her plate had the same amount of everything as mine! This has happened the past 3weeks and it has been very disappointing. To add to injury, last week, two of the girls got good poisoning/major diarrhea from the not-so-fresh tuna and salmon. And today (AGAIN) I could taste the fishy-ness of the tuna and salmon..... which is a bad indication of the lack of "freshness" in sushi. I'm just praying I don't get the runs too. :( What's going on, Skipjack?!? We used to love you dearly, but the past month has been a testament of your decline. :( we're so, sooooo sad. Please bring back the freshness, if not the large serving.....(we can blame shrinkflation for that) but at least continue to serve THE FRESH sushi!! I can't risk getting sick :(

The poke here is always great. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is nice, clean and welcoming. My coworkers and I come during our lunch hour and there's always a line which means it's that good here. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Been coming here for a while now. I felt compelled to write a great review today because Ariana was just amazing! Not saying in the past they were not but I really appreciated the details and explanation of my order today from her. I felt she went the extra mile. I usually order the large poke bowl. Besides the great service their protein options are always fresh and delicious. Not only that but they measure the portions so I never feel "ripped" off like in other poke places. They also have so many topping options. All great fresh options. The restaurant and restroom are always clean when I've been there, they have sanitizer set up on the entrance/exit. Great service, fresh delicious food & clean atmosphere! My favorite local poke restaurant

Fresh fish is here!! After coming to skipjack, I am too spoiled to go anywhere else. They are generous with portion size so you don't feel jipped on the price. I know a lot of places that try to up-charge for every little topping. I also love the containers that they pack the bowl in- super convenient to dig around and get the perfect, balanced bite without spilling the food everywhere. Service is fast and the workers are attentive and friendly!

The space doesn't remind me of a sushi restaurant and more of a sports bar, but the space was playing the World Cup and was fit for the occasion. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me. The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

I had to try it out with that recommendation! I had gotten a reservation for 6, for a table. It's known for omakase so if that's what you're looking for, ask for a seat at the sushi bar. We were welcomed by Emi (Emiliano) at the front and seated immediately. Plenty of parking behind the building. Table seating in the front room and sushi bar in the back. I don't typically appreciate tv screens in restaurants, but this one was playing scenic photos of places in Japan so that was ok. My husband ordered an Echigo beer (his favorite Japanese beer which is not offered everywhere), and I ordered a glass of Plum wine. He then chose the Godzilla roll which was a crunchy roll wrapped in eel and avocado, whereas I chose the Passionflower which was tuna, salmon, yellowtail and crab meat wrapped in cucumber. Emi told me it was one of his favorites. :) My husband enjoyed the Godzilla roll very much--he found flavorful and satisfying. Both the ginger and the wasabi were fresh and delicious. The Passionflower roll was so fresh the fish melted in my mouth, and the crunch of the thinly sliced cucumber was delightful. It was by far the most unique roll I've ever tried, containing neither rice nor nori. I loved it!
