My first time here and was impressed and satisfied. We got to sit at a table next to the glassed area separating the dining area from the bakery. It was very nice watching them make the dough and the delicious baked goods. The menu had some wonderful choices and the service was spectacular.

Lunch at the Chocolate Maven...didn't know they did lunch. I've had lots of goodies and coffee from there but never lunch. We tried a Reuben and a Bacon Green Chile Cheeseburger dining in and they were excellent. We also were seated in the quaint lunch area so we could watch the bakers make the goods Chocolate Maven is known for. Our server, Erasmo, was attentive and efficient. We highly recommend this place for lunch as well as Chico's baked goods! Get some pastries to take home for breakfast---the fruit tarts and Danish are excellent as is the Mexican Wedding Cookies. The counter staff was top-notch in helping us select some cookies to drop off at the local fire station. I can say enough how pleased we are to meet the owners and have the incredible staff there. You must try The Chocolate Maven when you're in Santa Fe.

Chocolate Maven Bakery & Café is wonderful. What an absolutely lovely place. Food, service, ambiance. I especially appreciate that the menu has vegetarian/vegan options. I tried the tofu scramble. Adore.

What's not to like about this place? It's a hidden gem of Santa Fe. It's a bit far from city center, so it's not super touristic. Most people there are local. The bakery is super cute. They have gluten free options. You can watch how they make the breads over the glass window. The blue corn pancakes are amazing. It's worth a try. EDIT: I found what not to love about this place :). The server tipped herself. Yes, I'm those people who keep every receipt . They "accidentally" increased the tip. That's unethical.

Didn't expect a croissant to take up the whole napkin... or my whole morning, but here we are. Flaky layers that crunch, chocolate that doesn't just sit there but melts and stains your fingers, and the kind of size that makes you question if it's still considered a pastry or a small meal.

Love the treats here!! My favorite is the red chile chocolate pecan pie!! N ever knew any this place til my partner surprised me with a piece of the chocolate pecan pie he had frozen from the holidays! This year we ordered 6 pies, we shared with our family and kept 2.

Two for two! This place has my heart. On first visit, I chose the huevos rancheros with a Mayan chile hot chocolate. Meanwhile, my friend ordered the blue corn pancakes...and after one bite, I knew I'd have to come back and get those pancakes for myself! So today was the second visit, almost a year apart, and it was as good as I remembered. Better than I remembered was the service! Our server was so attentive and thoughtful. Got a chance to peruse the bakery after our meal, and my friend was so tickled to see the wide selection of gluten-free cookies. Parking is easy. Lots of seating. Will return!

This place was alright. It was recommended to us by a mutual who lives in Santa Fe, and I could tell it drew in more of a local crowd. It had a nice selection of baked goods. The dining area was okay--it felt a bit cramped and had bright lighting with yellow walls. I think there is room for improvement lol. I did like how the bakery was open, so you could see the bakers hard at work while dining. The service could have been better. Our waiter made a couple of odd comments. Additionally, all I wanted was a carrot cupcake (which was already prepared in the display case). My mom was halfway done with her made-to-order chilaquiles by the time we could flag down the server to remind him about the cupcake. Additionally, the iced chai lattes didn't come sweetened, so we had to do it with sugar ourselves (Just something to note. I'm an avid chai drinker and have never had to do this before). The drinks also came out well after our food. Not a terrible experience, but not a stellar one either.

Decided to eat breakfast here this morning on the way out back home. It was kind of hard finding the place because it looks like it's attached to a horse barn lol I'm so glad we did because the inside is huge. You can't tell that outside. We were able to eat upstairs with the extra tables, the bakery downstairs has a great selection of homemade goodies. We ended up getting a chocolate croissant, almond croissants, green chili cheddar croissants, lemon bar and a blueberry cream cheese tart and that was all to go lol. We shared the blueberry Pinon pancakes with amazing brown sugar Pinon sauce. We also got the berry crêpe and the peach capote. They were all delicious and amazing. We also tried the green chili handmade sausage that was to die for no grease at all! We will for sure be back!

Chocolate Muffin Bakery is a hidden gem and a must-try for breakfast. Watching the baker make fresh bread is such a great experience. The BLT was packed with flavor on homemade bread, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the croissant French toast with caramel apple had just the right amount of sweetness. Everything was spot on. The ambience is tranquil family friendly. The service is fast and professional.

Chocolate Maven Bakery (CMB), Santa Fe, NM seemingly known to all the locals for fresh baked goodies, cakes, pies, cookies, specialty cakes etc. with a small dine-in restaurant during breakfast, brunch. Latter closing by 2PM. Warmly welcomed once you stepped in, we were on the search for a sweet bite post-lunch. There's a lot offered and it takes a moment to take everything in. We ordered, paid, then took our goodies to enjoy in the outside seating area. * Red Velvet cupcake w/buttercream * Hazelnut cream espresso cupcake * Mexican wedding cookies. To take for sharing later: * Assorted empanadas, croissants Take home souvenirs: * Citlali pure Mexican vanilla extract * Mexican hot chocolate mix w/Chile The cupcakes were great! I like espresso anything. Fresh buttercream is always appreciated...yum. CMB is a down home neighborhood bakery, nothing special yet special enough. You have to drop by if only to drool at all their baked offerings! And the people behind the counter are ultra-nice. CMB offers delivery out-of-state on some of their specialties, like Red Chile Chocolate Pecan Pie -- That one made my eyes light up! Drop by for breakfast or brunch. And go slowly past their display cases of goodies. Or in reverse. Guaranteed you won't leave empty-handed!

10/10 ! @chocolatemaven has always been a dear favorite for coffee and pastries but today I decided to try one of their burger specials. It was fantastic! I ordered a bacon, green chile cheese, wagyu burger. The meat was cooked to perfection of my choice and I chose garlic house cut fries, which were crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend giving their specials a try. Stop by before September 10th. They have 7 different burger specials!

Pastries were very good but the staff were very rude about us eating there in the restaurant. That really turned us on the place.

Patrons form a line to order, and signs on tables ask guests to order before settling into a table. Before we could give up and walk out, the owner/manager approached us at the Mille entrance with complete kindness, and he invited us to enter with the stroller to find seating before ordering. We were so surprised by his desire to accommodate the baby, and we accepted his generous offer, quickly finding a little corner table in the covered patio area at the back of the restaurant. Once the stroller was out of the way, I placed our orders, and we received our drinks quickly - a black hibiscus iced tea plus a creamy London Fog. Brunch followed shortly - croque Madame for me, veggie quiche for my friend, and a Nutella crepe to share. My taste of the quiche was super creamy, and the croque madame was as rich as expected. Crepe was lovely, though I wish they hadn't run out of eclairs, which are my favorite. We'll have to show up earlier next time - and there will be a next time! Thank you for the hospitality, Mille. The way you welcomed us, stroller and all, made all of the difference.

The place is popular, especially given very high quality of pastry products and the line is often a bit long (given so many locals/tourists stop by this place)...and simply..the place is one of the best pastry shops in Santa Fe. Parking is a little limited in their own parking lot and the shop is sort of crowded, but you can always park on a street outside (albeit some small parking fees). Overall, I really enjoyed the pastries here...although I think the drink (I got matcha latte...true, true, matcha latte isn't much of a western drink..so maybe I'm wrong to judge a restaurant by this drink) wasn't so much of my highlights. I would, definitely recommend this place for pastries for sure though!

We came in here on our last day visiting Santa Fe in the summer and I'm so glad we did, as it was on my list of things to try after perusing Yelp for notables. I had a scrumptious white bean-roasted red pepper-melted cheese tartine on delicious, fresh house-made bread topped with a balsamic glaze. I think it was one of the better dishes I had while in town. It was served with an array of olives on the plate. So good! They were out of the egg salad sandwich by the time we arrived, which was something a family member wanted to try, but they ordered an avocado toast instead. Also great and served with olives. The service was fast and thoughtful. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. We found a great shaded spot outside for the five of us with a view facing the bustling bakery inside. Many people brought their bikes or dogs (allowed outside only) and met up with friends to eat and chat. At one point a server brought out an order of bread that we did not order, but he left it with us anyway, free of charge. So glad we got to try Sage Bakehouse and I'd definitely visit several more times when in the area!

The café has a cool, modern vibe with plenty of indoor seating as well as a nice outdoor patio. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The counter staff was very matter-of-fact. Not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. Honestly, I got the impression she was just under a lot of stress. We also asked another staff member if we could use one of the patio umbrellas (they were all closed for some reason), and he was prompt and friendly, which we appreciated. We ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, a meat-filled empanada, a honey latte, and a cold brew. The cold brew was a little too dark for my taste, though coffee preferences are definitely subjective. Interestingly, there's a place in Albuquerque that has an almost identical flavor profile. The toasted everything bagel was very good, but it didn't come with quite enough cream cheese. The single cream cheese packet also felt a bit lackluster presentation-wise. That said, when we asked for more, the response was friendly and accommodating. The honey latte had beautiful latte art and great flavor, definitely a highlight. The empanada, filled with ground beef, green chile, and piñon, was a bit over-toasted, but the filling itself was flavorful, even if somewhat sparse. Overall, I think 35 North has a lot going for it and could easily elevate the experience with a few small improvements to consistency and customer service.
