    Baked eggs and Langos

Such a unique bakery and restaurant! If you're looking for something different this New Mexican cuisine with a Hungarian twist, look no further. It was packed and we had to wait maybe 5 minutes to be seated for Sunday brunch. I had the baked eggs which were delicious and tomatoey and we shared the langos (fried bread with burrata). Service was prompt and fast and the food came quickly. I enjoyed the different flavors and how light and everything tasted. I did not have an opportunity to try the baked goods but my friend got some pastries to take home and said they were divine. Also saw actor Gary Farmer here enjoying it!

Dolina located a bit away from the downtown Santa Fe area, but still within walking distance. They have a cute patio area available if you are visiting on a nice day. I sat on their patio and ordered the baked eggs and one of their homemade flavored iced teas. The baked eggs were flavorful and were the ideal portion for filling very satisfied, but not stuffed.

Dolina delivered a great breakfast experience. The food was definitely good, if I lived in Santa Fe, this might be my go-to breakfast spot. The service struck the right balance: attentive without being overbearing. Our waitress was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu. We sat on the front patio, which was a pleasant spot. Although it's close to the street, the traffic wasn't a distraction. The only downside is the parking. it's tight and options are limited. But hey, you take what you can get. Overall, a solid breakfast joint.

So, it isn't often that I get invited to a large gathering of family (not my own) at a classically classic Santa Fe eatery. Upon entry I saw 12 people seated at a giant square table... I made the baker's dozen! The service was great and food lived up to its reputation. Large groups or just brunch for two, Dolina's can handle it!

This place is located in a busy intersection. There's parking in the back so it was good. I want to say this is a texmex with a touch of Slovak or middle eastern Food: I got baked egg which is basically a shakshuka without cheese, family got breakfast burrito, simple eggs and toast. Lattes. For the baked egg it was good similar to a shakshuka without the cheese. The herb sauce that came with it was amazing. My family believe the breakfast burrito was excellent. Service: it was busy so I can't decrease the star to 4. Although I'd wish my server remembered the fresh squeezed ginger lemon tumeric juice... I can't blame here because she was running Around

What an amazing and eclectic experience at Dolina. The food, variety, service and ambience are five stars, I wish I could give more!

*beware of parking lot. It is tiny and so you may have to park over in front of sprouts. There is also currently construction on the street making it crazier.* We were seated quickly at the community table. Our food was delicious! I got the Sant Fe omelette plate. The omelette was nice and soft with nicely cooked mushrooms and cheese. The hash browns could have been crunchy but overall I was happy. We asked to split the check which did end up with some confusion. So maybe just make sure you look at your receipt.

I first went to Dolina on a trip to Santa Fe a couple of years ago. (Yum, chicken paprikash!) When I returned, I was excited to share the experience with other friends, and my memories did not disappoint. It was a tough call, but I got the salmon tartine this time, though I drooled profusely looking at the breakfast sandwiches my friend's ordered. (OMG...). The smoked salmon was tender and delicate in flavor; it paired excellently with the lemony greens. I would say the dish almost verges salad, which after many meals of chile rellenos and enchiladas, was a welcome reprieve. It's a bustling place for sure, which does create some difficulties in terms of seating and service. (I wanted to get a pastry to go, for example, but at a certain point you just give up on these things.) When we visited (September), there was a lot of construction on the adjoining road as well, which made navigating parking a bit of a challenge. I would recommend finding something on an adjacent side street though regardless. (Not knowing any better we pulled into the small entry and parking lot initially, and then someone rather stubbornly pulled in after us and left us stuck there for awhile, as there's no way to round the building.) All of that said, whatever wait or hassle involved, I would eat this food over and over and over again.

You may ask - how in the world could a breakfast spot rate 5 stars? Well.... by creating a unique menu, sourcing the freshest ingredients, preparing their plates to rival michel-star establishments, and have freidnly and attentive service that ensures you are beyond satisfied with your entire experience. My half-order of the salmon toast point was a perfect size and scrumptious. The quiche of the day was homemade with a flaky pie crust and perfectly baked filling. Their decaf coffee was even delicious!!

Simple, essential, clean inside, buzzing front patio. Sweet and savory. Nice food. A decent stop in our Santa Fe exploration day.

What a unique and vibrant menu at this sweet little cafe. Amazing service from our waitress Jess. She helped us decide what to order and suggested the tuna sandwich and a Cesar salad and some amazing pastries. Iced tea was so fresh. The tuna is cured in house and unlike any other tuna sandwich I've had, though it does remind me of how make my own with capers and tomatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Absolutely will be back. One tip, just park across the street.

This is a hotspot. Table service, nice waiter. Food is pricey for breakfast foods, but also seems like the going rate. Croissant sand which was dry but delicious. Slovakian fry bread thing didn't have much flavor or sauce - but I'm guessing that is how it is supposed to be. With tip it was $69 for those dishes and 2 coffees.

We are in town on vacation and heard about this local diner. It has a modern Polish atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered the baked eggs and pesto omelette. The food came out quickly and very hot. They offer fresh food and drinks that are made in house. They also have a small bakery that makes some traditional polish pastries as well as Mexican favorites. While they are primarily polish, they also offer many Mexican dishes as well. They are a brunch place and very busy so come by early! We definitely want to come back for lunch and try the paprikas and goulash.

Dolina - Breakfast pastry. A less sweet cinnamon roll.

I heard they closed? If they did, does anyone know what happened to the pastry chef?

They were open in April and doing quite well. I don't know if something happened after that.

The latte didn't do anything for me...it was overly sweet without really tasting of honey or lavender, and was too thick or something. The doughnut, however, was a different story. The blue cornmeal gave it a really nice texture--a bit crunchy, and the icing had actual lavender, not just flavoring. Best $2 I've spent today!
