I never leaved reviews on the yelp but I think I have to leave review for this company. I used this company on September 2015. I am single mom and we were moving to small 2 bedroom home that located about 10 minutes away from where I was. Think how much of stuff we possibly had, me and 10 years old daughter. We even had only 1 bed that time. They sent a man who can not assemble bed frame, it took almost 12hours, they charged every single material, even tapes and shrink wraps. They even took one of my lamp and did not return it until I called. I did not get estimates from other companies because it was such a simple move. My bad. I had to pay full amount plus material and lunch. I had to pay because I did not want to fight alone against 2 guys, I was too tired too. Now, I moved again using other company, and realized how foolish I was. Do not use this company, They damaged my furnitures too. Did not do anything about it. read more

My wife and I contacted Sky Moving and they're staff was prompt, polite and easy to work with. I received a quote and confirmation promptly after I filled out their forms and made the calls, which was wonderful. On moving day, I received a call 30 min before arrival which was awesome and allowed me to let them in and prepare last minute stuff. The team was amazing. My wife and I were incredibly impressed with their punctuality, their work ethic and attention to detail. They did an incredible job packing everything up, wrapping and assembling everything in a prompt manner. They were also kind and helpful. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! Horrible horrible horrible. They ruined many of my brand new items. I am getting an attorney to sue them because they will not make good for these things. They are taking zero responsibility for what their employees have done. And management/Alex is a joke. They need to replace him with someone that understands customer relations. What these people don't realize is that they just pissed off the wrong guy. I will go to any lengths to pay them back for this horrible treatment. I am going to follow them for years to come. Worst moving company. I am so angry. They took 12 hours to do a job that should have taken half that time. One of the guys they sent was old and had a limp. He had so much trouble taking furniture up the stairs, I had to help him. Also they put a big gash in the wood flooring. They told me that's not their problem, only the furniture is their problem. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Stay away from these crooks. Wasting time to run up the bill, taking breaks in the truck every time they unloaded 1 box. Rescheduling my move last minute so it took 11 hours to move a 1 br apartment across town 9-10 Miles. They took 40 minutes to move one item in while I left to get them and myself something to eat. At the end they sat in the truck for another hour on dispatch without closing out my bill. So professional kept my key fob. Would not answer calls or texts. I was scared. Then he shows up to my door 3 times with more paperwork. You must sign this. You must review. You must sign this. At 1145 at night on a Sunday I just shoved a pen on paper knowing I would contest. They promised packing services and packed one box and my closet (which is standard) I had asked if they would pack my kitchen and bathroom and ALEX assured me they would. He called me at 6am harassing me for the credit card auth form to be signed in case of cancellation even as he rescheduled my appointment by 4 hours. They stained my linen sofa. Damaged both doorways of my new and old apartments. NOW they won't give me the contract copies.SCAM ARTISTS STAY AWAY. read more

While the two teams that moved my belongings were professional and on-time I had issues that made this an unpleasant experience and share some recommendations if you use them. 1) If requesting a quote over the phone, be very specific on the items that are being moved. All of my belongings didn't fit on the truck so a second day was required for the remaining items. The second day of moving cost me an additional $890. 2) Prior to items such as TV's being moved, show the movers that they work. Also, when these items are delivered, test them right away while the movers are still at your house. I had a perfectly working 65 inch TV that worked prior to the move and did not turn on after being moved. Since there was no visible damage to the exterior of the TV, the cost of replacing or repairing was not covered. 3). Be sure the movers know the exact address of where your belonging are being delivered. On day 2 of the move, the crew went to the correct street address, but in the wrong city. At least there was no charge for this additional time. read more

These guys were so awesome! They managed multiple pickup locations across town and a final destination up 3 flights of stairs. They were a little late, but they came from a long way to make it happen. They were very apologetic for being late, were very careful with my stuff, and worked their A$$ES OFF! The movers are really unprofessional. I didn't keep an eye on them when they installed the beds back. Then later I found the thin steel strips are not installed back but just put beneath mattress randomly! And the back of the mattress were cut by knife! Even more the bed is not installed back in the correct way that the middle is lower than other side! Now I am laying on this uncomfortable uneven bed writing this review. I had to reinstall the beds by myself when I have time. Another thing when they park the truck, they hit several signs and even hit an electric pole. It could be a disaster. Very disappointed. You have to keep an eye on the workers when they reassemble your furnitures. They just don't know how to do it. My worst moving experience ever. I wonder how they got five stars. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Sky Moving did an excellent job on my 2 bedroom apartment apartment move. I live on a busy street and was a bit nervous on how they would park their truck and transport my furniture but I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. The elevators unfortunately were not working on the day of the move but the movers were experienced with these types of situations and thank goodness that didn't slow them down. Their packing rates were by far the best I received and my furniture was very well protected for the trip. We used the Skymoving.us company on September 6th, and found this company to be EXCELLENT! Both Jose Sr. And Jose Jr. were very professional when they came for the estimate appointment. We signed the contract that day. Their price was reasonable. On the actual moving day, all of our things were handled with great care by Jose and his guys. All of the furniture was wrapped and protected, which we appreciated as some things are antiques. It was a long day for the movers, yet they remained helpful and pleasant! I spent many hours on Yelp and on Thumbtack studying reviews of local movers. I was surprised to learn how many different things can go wrong, even during really simple moves. I finally narrowed my list down to a small group of finalists. I communicated with most of them, and finally decided to go with Sky Moving. Sky wasn't the lowest priced, but after speaking with most of them via email and phone, I ended up feeling more comfortable dealing with Sky than with the others. Also, Sky assured me that they didn't sub-contract. That is, only their own employees would be performing the requested services. This was a simple one-bedroom move, to another city about 20 miles away. I had everything boxed, around 50+ boxes ready to go ahead of time, except for about 10 pieces of furniture. This included a bulky (mint condition) bicycle and an exercycle. Everything went perfectly. Two professional and friendly workers showed up, on time. They wrapped whatever needed wrapping, then loaded and unloaded all the stuff at a reasonable rate of speed. When completed, I was happy to pay the final charges (which ended up being less than their quoted not-to-exceed price), plus (voluntary) tips, because of how smoothly and problem-free the whole event unfolded. Customer service?? Didn't even get to the actual moving part. Could not even get a quote for anything, estimated time, cost, nothing. I kept getting "it's against regulations to give you a quote". Really? I want to know if I'm looking at 4 hours or 12 hours an estimate is not a guarantee of the final price, but a best guess so you're not surprised at the end. Rather pay more than to have to deal with an immature businesses like this. Shame since I love supporting small businesses. Just not this one. read more

Sky Moving is NOT a reputable moving company. 1) They are ill-prepared for jobs. I explained to them that I was moving from a storage facility to a one-story home. The only questions they asked was what type of items was I moving. When they arrived at the storage facility, the truck was too high and would not clear the ramp overhang. They indicated that they had no other trucks available for my move which I had scheduled more than a week in advance. 2) Once the move was completed, they over-estimated the hours that the move took. The movers would not unpack my items at the final location until I gave them my credit card to pay for the move. I could not dispute the charges because it was 8:30 at night and the office was already closed. 3) I have tried two times (with my credit card company and with the BBB) to work with this company to get a reasonable amount of my money returned. However, the company has refused. Now I am forced to file a Small Claims case against them. read more

Recently used this moving company to move from calabassas to woodland hills and i have received excellent service. I had a lot of things to move but everything went smoothly and took shorter than expected. They wrapped everyone one of my furniture so it wouldn't be damaged.
