5 days after getting them done
    Lena M.

Absolutely 0/10 recommend this place. To start the women were extremely rough with the drill taking off my previous dip. Multiple times I pulled away from the heat and pain. This is 5 days after getting them done. Cracked, discolored. I should've left. Save yourself the time and money. Extremely rude staff and crap work. Extremely disorganized inside. Looks like a hoarders house.

Sky Nail & Spa consistently makes my Pinterest dreams come true. For all of my Pinterest-inspired girls, you need to come here because all of the nail artists know exactly how to execute. Although there are several nail salons up and down Broadway, this one takes the cake. Each nail artist is incredibly talented and a perfectionist in their craft. I get my nails done monthly as a treat to myself and honestly there's no better feeling than getting a pedicure on a Friday after a long week of work. It's a good feeling to know that their work is recognized and appreciated since people often compliment on how much they love my nails.

Just the best. A hidden gem in Southie where they do great work without price gouging. They always have the colors I want, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They are always prompt when I call and make an appointment and even do their best to squeeze people in without one. I typically get gel manicures, but have recently done acrylic with gel for a little bit longer wear. Gel is always done well, and the acrylics last almost 3 full weeks without lifting! (I do use cuticle oil and keep my hands moisturized.) They always crush the shape, and take my input/direction well. I never feel pressured to keep my nails too long etc. I will miss this place when I move.

So happy I found this place!! Definitely my new nail spot. The service was super fast and efficient, while still being detail oriented and giving me exactly what I asked for. The two nail techs were SO nice and helpful. Looooove this nail salon!

Got a dip manicure in baby pink... Looks amazing and natural. If it wasn't for a woman arguing on the telephone for the entire hour regarding a custody battle with her child's father... It would've been a great experience!

I was in Boston for a business trip and needed a fresh set after a disastrous experience with a different salon (my nails were cracking, chipping and breaking after a week). I came here with a few ideas of what I might want. And let me just say this--the nail tech here, took care of me. We had conversation about the designs I had in mind and the nail shapes so we could figure out which would look best, and she even explained what the precious nail tech at the other establishment did wrong with my nails that caused them to have issues. Overall my experience was great. The staff were all polite, super friendly and talented. Definitely would recommend, just make sure to call ahead to make an appointment.

I came here with a gift certificate, first time, and I was more than happy with the end result not only was the nail technician, and Tina, very respectful of the age of my daughter and the appropriate length of her nails, but she was very friendly and very talented at what she does we will definitely be coming back here again. I highly recommend anybody that has not selected a salon for themselves yet to come to sky nails. The parking may be the only difficult thing when referring to the business but there is a parking lot across the street that you can usually get away with parking at!

Able to see me quickly, shaping was perfect and technicians are efficient. I've tried out quite a few nail places and this is my new go to, my dip manicure came out great

I came across this nail shop from a nurse that i work With at Boston medical center, and let me tell you it's the best place on earth. I got service done Friday September 14th. I went in for a dip powder, pedicure, eyebrow wax and a Brazilian wax (yes i know the whole nine yard) TINA TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME, she is a perfectionist. I was looking for an ombré dip powder set and Tina took the vision in my head and made it come true. I told her this and so serious THIS IS MY NEW NAIL SHOP, and after seeing my vagina on the first day she will forever see me lol

Go here, they do such a great job. Dip lasts forever. Best spot I've gone to in Southie & I've tried almost all of them - 10/10

Probably third or fourth visit over the past half-decade. Have always had decent experiences. Was just never that convenient unless I was in Southie. The past visit definitely needs a review, tho. The young woman who did my mani (no pedi) made it her personal OCD-mission to correct the failings of my previous salon in DC. (Not mentioning names, oh Enchanted one.) She attacked with ruthless --yet gentle--precision each and every snaggley cuticle and stray skin-curl. While there is no helping how chonky my fingers are, she made the nails and cuticles as smooth and soft as a puppy's belly. Total no-frills. Gel removal and replacement. $26 bucks. Will depend on who you get, of course.

I came here last minute to get a gel polish application (no manicure) just the polish. I am also a nail tech and didn't have time to paint my nails so I decided to just pop in here to have them polished. The girl that did them did an amazing paint job.. I'm really particular with my nails and was surprisingly shocked at how good she did because usually I end up fixing them a bit when I get home lol ! Very happy with the work ... wish I knew her name so I can ask for her if I ever need a quick polish again..

It's probably the best nail service in town. Kevin did a good job, try to make appointment with him if you can.

When you get there, you go up a narrow carpeted staircase. Not promising. You push through that and open the door and it looks much like any other random massage place. The prices are in the counter there. I don't remember them all. It was $80 for a 1-hour deep tissue massage. Kind of steep for a random massage place, but now it's too late. I asked the masseur for a really hard massage. I like really hard massages - exclusively. She gave me the best massage I've ever had (and I've had a lot). It was so good that I promised myself I'd create a Yelp profile just to leave a good review. Which I'm now doing. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe they're all this good. I don't know. But I had a great experience.

Could be because both my friend and I were Chinese, but everyone was very sweet to us. Very quite, and dark when we first got there, which may be off-putting for some, but it's clean and has the necessities. The massage I got was very relaxing (not a therapeutic knot-fixing massage, but a relaxing overall body massage). We were visiting friends who were leaving Boston, so not sure when I'll be back in Boston, much less in need of a massage. But I definitely would come back if I'm in the area and in needed a fixin'!

Trust me, I wanted to love this place so bad!!! I was so excited and came in with a positive attitude. The massage itself is not typical. You stay clothed and there are no rooms, just curtain dividers which kind of threw me off but whatever, I was still feeling hopeful. My first red flag was the fact that they did not ask my preference regarding the gender of the masseuse. They gave me a man which I don't typically allow but it was fine because I was clothed. Anyways, the part of the massage, the head and neck was nice. The feet portion was absolutely horrendous. My standards are not high but this straight up did not feel good at all. He had two long nails that were DIGGING into my skin when he was "massaging". Genuinely every moment I was wishing for it to be over. Even without the nails, it would still have been uncomfortable because the pressure points and areas where he was massaging were not right. I actually left feeling worse. I understand that I could have gotten up and left but I wanted to see if it would eventually improve? When I was paying, the woman arrogantly asked "how will you be paying for the tip?". I told her I would not be tipping because I didn't enjoy the service and she demanded reasoning... what is up with these people? I feel so annoyed that I wasted my money on this!! I take responsibility for not standing up for myself but I'm still pissed! My feet hurt even now while writing this. I'm sure the quality of service differs between employees but I wouldn't take my chances.

I've gotten many, many massages over the years to help relieve the dull and nagging pain I have in my neck and upper back. I have a Massage Envy subscription (which I just terminated today) plus I go to a number of Chinese and Thai massage places to supplement. When I found Fong's Massage Therapy I was looking for the highest rated Yelp! business in Boston Chinatown... And then it was history... I actually just showed up randomly on a Sunday to see if I could get a session in. First, I was expecting a store front on the main level of Washington Street but it's actually in an office building of sorts where you have to buzz in. There's no major signage for Fong's except for the buzzer label. The office is nice and very comfortable (nice cool temperature, soothing lighting and music and comfy BarcaLoungers for waiting. I didn't have an appointment but Kathy was available. I didn't realize it was cash only so I said I would come back after going to the ATM. However Kathy offered to perform the treatment and then I could go get cash but just leave my ID. I was like wow! And I wasn't sure what to do so I ended up doing what she suggested. The first session was amazing. Kathy basically checks out what's wrong and then administers the appropriate treatment. The method here is not like some of the many (excellent) massage therapists employ where there's almost a set sequencing of therapy. I was really tight so Kathy walked on me first to loosen me up. And then the remainder of the session was pretty intense--I usually fall asleep during no my massage therapy sessions but the pain was so intense and body work so deep that I couldn't fall asleep! The first session was so good that I set up an appointment for about 10 days later. During my second session I had gua-sha (spooning) done. This is where Kathy too lo a Chinese soup spoon and "scraped" it all over my back, neck and arms. Wow, I felt really good afterwards. Fong also checked me out as Kathy saw that I had a mountain of a knot on my back. Fong said there was a misalignment and that an adjustment would be helpful. I wasn't mentally ready to get adjusted then but I am today (third session). I am waiting for my treatment and I am hearing the "screams" of pain coming from the patient currently being treated. I can't wait!
