Mom's manicure, teal. She has two gel nails that have fallen, they fell like the 4th day she got it.

It was my to go spot, but now I don't know. I just got my manicure gel about a week ago on Friday March 20th and the gel is all GONE! I usually have gone in the mornings and it's extremely packed. This time I went afternoon with my mom. It was a birthday gift to her, and I was hyping the place up. My nail technician was super nice, friendly... but finished my nails in like 10 min... I think that's why the gel didn't stick. I have been going to this place for a while now and even though I don't go as often, the times I've gone I've never had this issue. Even if I washed dishes my nails would last. I'm disappointed in the quality. He did it very quickly like he was running out of time... I didn't expect my gel nails to only last a week. I barely even did any house work so they could last. Now my toe nails, they are still looking very good, they aren't even gel... and I wear mostly shoes. The nail technician that did my pedicure was PERFECT. She took her time to take out the dirty stuff and the hangnails, she took her time and made me feel extremely comfortable. I would go to her again for my toe nails. My mom manicure gel are falling as well, but not like mine. Hers are lasting a little longer than mine. I recommend going in the morning's probably. I'm just not happy that my gel nails have fallen and it's only been a week. Plus $5 per nail color... I mean it's a rip off if I'm going to have this problem of not being able to keep the gel nails longer than a week. I posted a picture of my mom's gel nails. Two of them fell in less than 4 days and she had to paint them a light blue so her nails wouldn't look weird. This was her first time coming here. The place she usually goes to and gets her gel nails last her more than 2 weeks. The quality of this place is going down.

I've been coming to this salon for quite some time now, and I truly love it here. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming from Steven, Mai, Ana, Tina, Cody at the front, and honestly everyone in the salon. You can really feel the good energy as soon as you walk in. My daughter loves getting her little manicure here too, and they're always so patient and sweet with her. It's become our favorite self-care spot. Thank you, Mai, for always making my nails look beautiful -- they're so strong and healthy now, and I get compliments all the time! Highly recommend ! mom approved and worth every visit.

nails after acrylic removal, no cutting.

I have been to Sky nails many many MANY times in the past and usually I have no issues or I just agree with the price for the quality of work done. However I came in for a simple acrylic set removal and several times my fingers were burnt and i had to alert the nail technician about this (I thought she would know as she's coming closer to my natural bare nails to slow down with the filing but I guest she just wanted to push me out of the chair fast to be open to more clients and work as I was just getting the removal or something else). I paid $20 for JUST the removal that included no nail cutting and still left me with some of the acrylic on my nails, and the nails just looking rough. I was then alerted if I wanted to just cut the nails it would be even more money or I could do another manicure (even more money). It has been a while (about 6 months) since I last came to Sky Nails, but last time I came a nail removal was around $12, I am not sure why the price increase if this was my worst experience here truthfully. I was planning on coming back in a week for a pedicure but I am definitely not now.

I use to love this place. Until 2 months ago. I got an infection on my feet and my fingers. My feet still haven't healed and my finger is getting worse. I'm On my way! To the dermatologist right now. It's a fungal infection. Please note that the nails I have on the photos were done by me. Not the salon. I had to do them myself because I can not go to another salon with an infection. The infection happened at sky nails 2 months prior that still has not healed.

I went twice do my manicure and pedicure so far I'm satisfied and love this place. The staff are really friendly and pleasant and Tina is doing for my manicure, she is super detail oriented & patiently doing art on my nails to match the picture that I showed it to her and came out with the same exactly what I want it in the picture. I'm so glad that finally I found the right place to go, so many nails salon I went back n forward but couldn't find the right person to do so Now here you go I found the right person to do my manicure also Steven , he is the one do my pedicure, he is so patiently to remove my stubborn dry skin by scrubbing and remove the callus and now feel smooth n soft with a nice good looking happy feet

Quality is always there even a month+ old gel pedicure. Mai always get me right and Kody is always the nicest. Highly recommend

I've been coming to this Shop since May and they serve quality customer service along with quality work every single time. Their attention to detail is immaculate. Typically I go in for gel mani and regular pedi and the polish lasts for weeks! this time around I waited to come back at the 3 week mark and there was not a single chip on my nails or toe nails and i'm a daily tennis shoe person. That should tell you a lot about their work and quality products. The wait time can be a little long but the end result is always great. You will be sure to leave the shop with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Not to mention the owners are very welcoming and friendly along with the other ladies at the shop. I don't have a favorite tech as of now because all of their work is great! Also prices are great and competitive! read more

Great customer service, they offer coupon stamps visit 10 times get $10.00 off. Pedicure + back massage chair while you wait. Overall, I loved it for a dude always can't cut my toe nail perfectly. This place will be great! read more

Got my nails done and I love how they turned out! The builder base that I picked was such a pretty color and matched the vibe that I was going for! Went in for a pedicure and was not disappointed. The new owners are so nice. I walked in and was greeted and taken care of right away. The pedicure was fairly priced for gel and a design. I walked in for the first time to do a regular manicure. I was seated and attended soon and the nail soak, trimming, base coat, nail polish, top coat, oil polish, and hand lotion were applied efficiently. My nails looked shiny and pretty. Will be back again! read more

My family and I have been following Lucy for years. We really can't seem to find anybody better than her! Even when you go in there a lot of their clientele are people driving from the sf valley for them ! Cody is always so kind and very attentive to all clients. I personally always get a gel manicure and gel pedicure with a little design on my manicure, usually just under $80. Just don't come on an empty stomach because the tvs tend to be on some delicious cooking channels lol Other than that the vibe is quite calm and welcoming. 10/10 recommend! read more

I got gel x nails with a design. The person had told me that the design I originally wanted was difficult so I chanaged it and they said the new design was easy. From far away the design is fine. When you get closer the stars look kind of badly done. I got them done 1 week and a half ago and 3 of my nails have popped off. They took their time, and my pedicure was very well done. The only problem was my gel x nails. I have gone to previous salons for gel x nails and they lasted one month with no problems. read more

Everyone is friendly and welcoming. They let me sit right away and give me a water. I went here for gel manicure and regular pedicure. Decent price. Tina is the best here!! I will come back and ask for her again. She take care of my nails and takes her time on the design. I also got waxing with her. She knows everything. This was my first time at Sky Nails. I normally don't get my nails done because I have sensitive skin/nails and the experience is usually painful for me. I checked it out due to the great reviews and it did not disappoint. The place is clean and the staff is professional. Mai and Tina were both very helpful and patient. They took their time and I did not feel rushed once. I also did not experience any pains throughout the process. Here are some pictures of my nails in different lighting. They are acrylics w glitter ombre. One is of the unfinished process but I they were already cute halfway. Recommend! read more

I was looking through Yelp to find a good nail salon to get a pedicure and came across Sky Nails and saw that they were new and decided to give them a try. Lucy did my pedicure and Tina did my manicure. They were both very meticulous with their work and double checked if I liked the shape and color of my nails! I was very satisfied with my trip and all the staff are very friendly overall. 10/10 recommend. read more

I started out going to the shop when they were in San Fernando, 5 minutes from my house. After about 6 years as a client, I wasn't thrilled they were relocating to El Monte, but was happy that Kody and Mai were closer to their home and don't have to deal with the long drive to work anymore. Lucky for me my mother-in-law lives in El Monte. Last Friday (06/23/23) my wife and I were able to make appointments at the new shop. Kody and Mai, along with the staff that relocated with them were happy to see us. Made us feel like we were home, and like they truly missed us as clients. The fact that we'd drive from San Fernando to El Monte should speak volumes about their business. Kody and Mai do a great job of running their business, make you feel welcomed as a client, and appreciative for your business, all the while providing you with top notch service. I highly recommend that if your looking/searching for a new nail shop, you should give them a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

I have lived in the Temple City area for over 35 years and have tried most nail salons nearby. This is, without a doubt, the best salon I have been to in a very long time. They are welcoming and quality is good but they charge you extra and don't ask if you want to pay extra for the service they say they charged you for. I saw this with a customer that was paying when I got there and they did it to me. NOT COOL! SO I WILL NOT EVER BE GOING BACK!! I have known Lucy for the past 15 years. She has changed locations 3 times in the San Fernando Valley and now that she's moved to El Monte I have decided to continue coming to her from Sylmar because of the great service she provides. I have always had problems with ingrown toenails and she is the only person who I trust to make my toes feel better. I think it is the first time, I am treated like this here with no apology at all. Maybe she didn't know we been waiting since 1:30pm, we should went to somewhere else who will value your time and treat their customers better. The 2 stars is for the younger cashier who is wearing a glasses. Alex and Kate are always great. I don't know if I will still recommend this place anymore.

I'm always happy with her attention to detail and taking care of me. As a man I have pretty soft feet and like getting my feet done by her. I have no fungus but know that many women who do, hate on the fact that I take care of myself. I recommend Kim to anyone and live in West Hollywood. I drive to El Monte just for her service. Eight days after that $180 set, one nail completely fell off with no pain. Anna said she didn't know why it happened, booked me three days later to fix it, and charged me $20. Four days after the repair (about two weeks after the original set), 9 out of 10 nails were lifting from the sides. Again, Anna said she didn't know why and initially told me to come back in three days. I explained I was concerned about moisture and possible fungus, and suddenly she had availability the same day. That was frustrating. When I arrived, Anna didn't examine my nails or apologize. Another tech removed and reapplied a new set, and I was charged $80. Within two weeks, I had spent $280 total. I was only given a $20 gift card. Eleven days later, my thumb nail fell off again. When I reached out, Anna once more said she didn't know why. After spending hundreds of dollars here, I'm very disappointed with how this was handled. The customer service was poor, and I would not recommend this salon.

I've been coming here since they opened at this location in 2023 and to say as a male both Kody and Mai (the owners) make this place very welcoming, Kody always makes sure that you're getting taken care of as well as offering waters and really good candies. I had came in for pedicure but I asked if they worked with ingrowns and he set me up right away with Tina which was amazing! She did an awesome job with taking care of them without hurting me I could not stop thanking her! She left my toes looking fresh and clean! I haven't gotten a pedicure done from anyone else or anywhere else she really knows her stuff! I also do come for manicures every other week and I'd say everybody here does a good job taking care of me with that. I'd also recommend their scrub they have for both hands and feet it works really good for dry skin just a personal opinion. But overall 5 STARS!!! Hello! I have been coming here since they opened up the shop, me and my family had just moved into the area off of Baldwin so found it great that I had a nearby nail salon. I now recently relocated to San Bernardino and just gave birth in September (new time mommy here) I don't have much free time on my hands to pamper myself im you can imagine a new born changes things so when my husband suggested it was time for some "me time" I couldn't deny. This was my second time visiting this nail salon, so glad that they still do acrylic nails and didn't try to force me to do gel x like other salons I've been too. I've had bad experience with gel x nails from other salons. Lucy started my nails and did a wonderful job shaping them and getting them to look how I wanted. Then Mai took over and finished with my design. They look better than the pictures I showed her I wanted and I've gotten so many compliments on them already. Everyone in this place is so kind! The owners are good people and always try to accommodate everyone: Koby is who answers the phone, and is always patient looking for ways to bring customers in.
