We have been to this coffee shop twelve times now. (Writing a review about any place that serves consumables after just one visit, does seem to be credible.) Being from Portland, OR, we spent A WHOLE LOTTA TIME in coffee shops - just to get out of the rain. Ha. So, that being said, it is not only about the coffee, but also about the experience which is created by the baristas, and the shop's overall ambiance. First off, Kaladi Bros. coffee and espresso is our favorite roaster in Colorado. Drip serves both Kaladi and Conscious Coffee, which is nice for those wanting options. And they serve it well be it via Chemex, Aeropress or any of the traditional means. Chris, the manager, and all the baristas are consistently accessible and have been right-on in their recommendations. I contrast Drip with Laughing Goat on Pearl St., in Boulder. They too serve Kaladi Bros. coffee but compared to Drip, the baristas at Laughing Goat are snobby, arrogant and indifferent. We won't even go in there anymore. The ambiance is unsettling. We highly recommend a trip to Drip. read more

Drip is probably the most ideal coffee shop where one can study. It is extremely clean, not crowded, and they make thee most amazing chai tea lattes. The barista (and perhaps also the owner?) was extremely friendly and was not bothered my indecisiveness when I was ordering my beverage. I'm sure baristas often get frustrated with me because I tend to take longer than 5+ minutes when deciding what to drink at a coffee shop. I know, it's not brain surgery, but I "need" to have the "perfect" drink when I am about to embark on a 5-6 hour study session. She had me try a few of their herbal teas and what I loved was that most of their teas were all loose leaf teas (where you can blend flavors, too!). I finally made a decision and went with the chai tea latte, since it had just the appropriate amount of caffeine that I was seeking. The ONLY downside to this place is that they close so dang early. I was just getting in the study zone and it was time to close (around 7pm or so). I was pretty bummed about that. I understand that the coffee shop is in a secluded area and they don't get much business late at night, but for me, this was a bummer. I would recommend Drip for for anyone who is longing a caffeinated beverage and some quiet time. If you're looking for a place to go with your friends to socialize, I'd say that this place is probably not ideal. read more

I really, really liked this place. I do not claim to be a coffee snob or really know anything about coffee besides knowing I like coffee creamer. I was a little intimidated when I first walked in here. I'm a chemist by trade (the legal kind) and these guys had scales, beakers, and other contraptions behind the counter....what? I just wanted a latte! Not to worry they had that and I got an awesome caramel latte with a berry scone. Both were fantastic. As I sat there my curiosity got the best of me. I walked up to the counter and asked, what's the difference between all of these gadgets and how does that give me coffee? Kris was so nice to give me a run down of the different methods they use at Drip to brew each cup of coffee by hand. No mass produced pots here! They have your standard espresso machine but then they use an aeropress (lighter brews) and a chemex (darker brews) to brew each cup specifically for you.....I hope I got that right and didn't get those crossed. Will that mean you have to wait a little longer to get your caffeine fix? Yes but I'm sure it is totally worth it. The inside environment is super nice. I know it's in the Beauvallon (free parking in the garage) but the space has an Art Deco vibe to it. The music playing is totally my style so no headphones were needed. Fast free wifi too. This has become one of my new favorite coffee shops! Not only is the coffee well above average, it is family owned and operated..which you can tell in the excellent customer service you receive here! There is free parking in the parking garage, or metered parking out front. I've mostly walked here as I live in the area. Nice environment inside, and there is a quiet upstairs to reserve to host meetings..or, if no meeting is reserved it is a quite spot to work! They have a couple tables out front, outside, that are nice to sit at and pet all the dogs passing by, or just people watch! The facilities are always amazingly clean as well!! They have great food choices as well! DiFranco's has sandwiches they sell here...and OH. MY. GOSH. The burritos, Mame Burritos (local small Denver business too!) I am addicted to them!! :o They offer Gluten free options too! Yogurt, pastries..and more! If you order an item that needs to be heated..sit, relax, set your stuff up..they will bring it out to your table! Environmentally friendly? YES! Honestly..I used to be a Starbucks customer, but ever since tasting the coffee here, I will bypass that and come straight to Drip. The coffee doesn't have that bitter taste, and let's face it..there is enough bitterness in life..we shouldn't have to deal with it in our coffee too! One of the more impressive things I have seen with this shop..is when there is a line..how quickly..smoothly..and detailed they still are with taking care of the customers..and they never seem frazzled! It's the epitome of what a business should be. They even showcase local artwork. Why wouldn't you support a family run, community oriented place?!?! I'm glad I didn't review this spot before because my experiences under previous names and with past ownership didn't warrant positive stars. Thankfully, I was feeling like a re-do today, so I decided to give it a shot. It's been a few years since I've been there, and I definitely got a great glimpse at good ownership this time around. Long story short -- I am not a coffee connoisseur. I'm an environment connoisseur. I'm a patron to places who appreciate my money and welcome my business. The location where Drip Denver resides has gone from my never-go-to-again place to one of my top three picks. My day started less than desirably today. Within seconds of walking in, owner Joel and super delightful daughter (sorry --- I failed to get her name, but she'll totally giggle when she reads this) had me smiling. They're a welcoming group of folks who truly just want to give the neighborhood a great space. The highlights: * Great group of folks behind the counter * An establishment that's clearly family-owned and proud of it * Young adults who are learning the value of a buck at an early age, and actually smile while doing so!!! (So nice to be greeted by cheerful folks who are just happy to smile at you because smiling comes so naturally) * Great food (In the name of transparency, I did not taste any today, but I'm familiar with the brands they carry, and I saw a few plates come out while I was working away. It all looked great, and the first time I was at this location -- when it was Aviano -- I got a weird furrowed-brow-face when I asked if they had food, so I'm glad to see that these owners understand the need for the consumption of edibles) * Good beer * Great people-watching patio * Total walk-ability for Capitol Hillers (free parking is available, too) * Rent-able meeting space (the loft is the perfect small-group meeting space. Literally -- perfect) The fella who was given the reigns when the owner left was great, too. All in all, this was an exceptional start to a great relationship. Once upon a time, this location was priced far out of Capitol Hill people's pockets. Drip Denver is now a place for and of the people, with an excellent location, totally fair prices, and a place that's happy to invite you in for work or play. Solid coffee ship I work out of and meeting with my writing group in. I love that they serve Strava's CBD coffee, but their drip is a bit weak, so go with the pour over version (after 3p). From the time I walked in, I felt this was going to be good. The barista (Leo) and the owner (Nancy) greeted me with a warm good morning and a smile! I asked what made this coffee place special. Leo replied that they make their own Chai. So I ordered one. He informed me that it was different and a little more spicy than regular chai. He continued to chat with me while making my drink. Was in need of a coffee fix and I found this coffee shop as it was across the street from where i was working at the time. I got an iced chai tea and omg it's ONE OF THE BEST CHAI TEAS IVE EVER HAD!! What an interesting experience. I walked into this coffee shop ordered an iced Carmel Macchiato and the barista refused to make it. He said "it's like a puffer face" whatever that means. I asked a few questions about why he couldn't make it and he kept saying heating the milk, but obviously an iced drink you don't heat the milk. Interesting barista. I love this place carries CBD coffee. I got this and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was fine, but did take like 15 minutes to make. While waiting I overheard the staff talking about how they make sure to push the breakfast burritos (frozen) because they're so much easier to make. it is SUPER DISAPPOINTING when you search out a place for something in particular - namely the fact that they advertise JUCING only to get there and find out that they only juice at certain hours. I just missed the juicing hours by 15 minutes too. Would never have chosen this place on Yelp if not for wanting a good juice meal. I was in from out of town and I like to search out neat little places to try. Also DISAPPOINTING is when they have a check-in offer on Yelp that you can't use AT ANY TIME. So not only did I miss the juice but also couldn't take advantage of the free cup-o-joe offer. I ended up ordering a chai tea latte which is my go-to drink for any coffee shop only to be disappointed again because it wasn't any good. I like to actually taste my chai, this tasted like hot water with a distant hint of spice and some milk. Drip gets two stars instead of one because the drink I got for my girlfriend was "fine". And getting to spend time with her puts me in a good mood. All in all Drip turned out to be a Real drip that I would skip. read more

After purchasing a deal on Amazon Local, I finally made my way over to Drip to check it out. I had walked past it a number of times but, honestly, thought it would be a really sterile place where people ran in and ran out, neither of which it actually is. I LOVE that they use Kaladi's and Pablo's coffee and have Dr. Toddies on tap (so delicious) and Mame's breakfast burritos, too. YUM! Unfortunately, the banana chocolate chip muffin that we shared was lacking in banana flavor, but it was still pretty good. Despite my first impression, the inside is very inviting. I appreciate that there are outlets all over the place and really liked the little loft area upstairs (three small tables with 2 chairs each and also a few sofas and side tables). I also enjoyed the free wifi and music playing at just the right volume. Friendly service, good coffee, great space. I'll be back! read more

I wanted to like this place a lot but.... It was kind of loud and hard for me to concentrate. In all fairness I didn't travel upstairs where the noise levels are probably lower. A/C was freezing cold, also taking away from my concentration. My Italian soda tasted like it had half the amount of syrup that it was supposed to. The chair was super uncomfy. Overall it just wasn't what I was looking for in terms of a cozy comfy coffeehouse environment. The barista was super friendly though and I can tell they care about their clientele. read more

Coffee is such an important part of our lives and the Drip knows how to satisfy the needs of addicts. I had a strong espresso and a nice ice cold mocha. My sister had a chai, which she loved. The prices are incredible, they use local roasters, and the cafe itself was elegant and comfortable. It would be very easy to not only meet friends but also business partners at this location. Right off 9th and Lincoln, the location provided covered parking (such a plus) and free wifi. I would definitely come back, over and over and over. My only complaint is the hours. It is a bummer that I couldn't just go at for a late night (well 8ish) coffee trip with friends. Overall, worth every star. read more

It is a 5 star coffee experience with extra space, good food (I recommend the Chai Latte), and I never even think about this but the restroom is very clean. This coffee shop is a wonderful jewel embedded in the downtown area. Located near the 11th avenue hostel, my daughter and I walked to this cafe every morning of our stay in the Denver area. Lindsey was so kind and helpful, giving us free samples, directions and advice on traveling about the city. The food there is SO delicious, my daughter tried and loved every pastry, and I couldn't get enough of the breakfast tacos. I only regret not trying their smoothies. Their orange juice is wonderfully fresh, and their coffee is excellent. I recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a tasty, classy breakfast experience. read more
